We really enjoyed our 5 night stay. The room was clean and the bed was super comfortable. The bathroom has recently been renovated and we really liked that the shower had a door to stop the rest of the bathroom floor from getting wet. We made use of the pool which was great, especially as the weather was so hot during our stay. The best thing about Meunna though is Cuong - he is always busy working with a smile on his face and we enjoyed getting to know him. Cuong booked our onward train tickets to Vang Vieng for a good price and he also arranged a scooter for us for 150k per day.

Payments charged in US Dollar using a below market conversion rate to the Lao Kip. Card payments charge an extra 3%. Would suggest management to instead adjust their pricing policy to account for that rather than having these hidden fees.

(1) Lam, Cong and the other reception member (male) all very helpful. (2) Many activities can be organised with the hotel and seems fairly priced-e.g. I arranged shared trip to the falls and mini bus to Nong Khiew. Be prepared for the transport to arrive later than advertised and then do rounds picking others up before you start your excursion. (3) 15 minute walking distance to night market, Mt Phousi and other sights. (4) spacious room, big bed, relatively soft mattress. Room was serviced regularly, bottled water in room, safe, wardrobe in situ. (5) shower powerful, water hot, provided amenities like toothbrush, shower cap etc. (6) hotel down an alleyway so quiet Overall a good stay over 7 days.

(1) Complimentary sunset cruise was not mentioned at check in and by time I remembered it was too late to use it. (2) Shared balcony which is screened away however if neighbours are smokers and you are not this does affect your enjoyment of the balcony and comes into your room. (3) bathroom has an odd smell but this seems to be common in Laos. (4) I personally didn’t like the location in that part of town. (5) curtains in room need to be cleaned.

Lam, the manager, was so helpful, always willing to go the extra mile, super efficient & such a lovely young lady. All the staff were v helpful.. Great breakfast, with lots of choice. The room was lovely, spacious & well equipped. Was nice to sit out overlooking the pool & read. It was good to be able to use the bikes for free, though we didn't use them much cos it was too wet most of the time. The location was quiet as just off the road. It is a little bit of a walk - 10- 15mins walk to tje River & the main part of tje old town & tje night markets. We liked being able to get anywhere with an easiy but yhis but may suit those who want to be right in the centre.

The staff was lovely and super helpful. Could not have been better Breakfast was very good. The room we got the first night was large, but dark and depressing. It did have a very nice bathroom. After asking, we got a room with a balcony for a 15% premium. The rooms are newly renovated and large. The balcony rooms are very nice.

Really the problem is we were expecting more for the amount we paid. Maybe these prices are just normal for Luang Prabang in peak season. The pool area is very tight. The pool chairs just about fit parallel to the pool, between the pool and the fence. The lobby/breakfast area looks like a backpacker hostel.

This is an absolute gem of a hotel. The manager (Kung) went out of his way to be extremely helpful, kind and gave us any advice we needed about Luang Prabang. The hotel is about 10/15 minute walk from the centre of town and the night market however it is situated nearby to some good cafes and bars. The rooms were very clean, excellent size and our balcony had nice views overlooking the pool and surrounding hills of the city. The hotel is in a quiet street just off the road which is a definite bonus as noise from cars/vans/tuk tuks can be a bit of a problem in other parts of the city centre. The breakfast was delicious with fresh fruit, coffee and fresh fruit juices being on the menu amongst many other choices. Good WiFi connection and the hotel offers an excellent/fast laundry service. The resident cat is one of the most friendly and most cute I've ever seen!! I would not hesitate to stay here again. Thank you Kung for making us feel so welcome!

Absolutely loved our stay at Meunna Boutique Hotel – it was truly one of the highlights of our trip! From the moment we arrived, everything was spotless and beautifully maintained. The rooms were pristine, the beds incredibly comfortable (some of the best we’ve slept in during our travels!), and the bathroom was stunning – modern, spacious, and sparkling clean with an amazing shower. The pool was such a peaceful oasis – perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. And the breakfast? So delicious and filling – a great mix of fresh, tasty options that really set you up for the day. But what really made our stay unforgettable was the staff. Everyone was so kind and welcoming, but the manager especially stood out. She always had the warmest smile, gave us fantastic local recommendations, and you could tell she genuinely loved what she does. Even after we checked out, she went above and beyond by helping me try to retrieve a card I had left in an ATM – something that meant so much to me. Can’t recommend Meunna Boutique Hotel enough. It’s more than just a beautiful place to stay – it’s an experience filled with warmth, care, and heart.

the super friendly receptionist lady who was very helpful in giving me interesting information on how to visit Luang Prabang best - also the accommodation allowed me to stay and rest a few hours longer in my room than official check-out time when I was not feeling very well on my day of departure - the accommodation is well located for exploring Luang Prabang - the room was large with a generous bathroom and the bed was super comfy - they had a rich breakfast menu to chose from for the included breakfast, something for everybody's taste!

A very nice hotel with a great pool area and a top location. Our room had its own terrace with private pool access. The room was large, clean and comfortable. The bed was very good. We were able to choose from various options at breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful. Khong in particular was great. He was constantly asking if and what he could help us with. He helped us book the excursion to the caves and the waterfall as well as the cab ride to the train station. He took care of hiring the scooter for us. We were given new towels every day, including pool towels.

The property is quite small which we loved, only about 10 rooms, however the rooms were a very good size. The hotel is tucked away so no noise from the street or surrounding areas either and an easy 10 minute walk to the night market. We really enjoyed having the pool, which is clean and a good size. The manager is very friendly and welcoming and they do a tasty breakfast, fruit and then a main dish of your choice including a few egg options and more local dishes. They can also help book tours and transport and there are 2 bikes for free use which we used to cycle around the town. We would highly recommend Meunna Hotel to anyone visiting Luang Prabang.
