Unique Historic Apt in downtown Memphis. Check-in was easy and owners were friendly and promptly responded to our needs. The neighborhood was quiet and had a great restaurant located directly across the street.

The air conditioning didn't work in the living room and first bedroom. We did contact the owners and they made adjustments but it still didn't. We ended up utilizing the fans located in the apartment and trying to only be there later in the day when the temperature outside had cooled some. The 2nd bedroom has a different unit and was amazing as far as temperature. One of those units would be awesome in the living room and first bedroom!

First off, it is a fantastic location. Directly opposite is Sunrise Memphis, a great place to hang out for breakfast. It’s also only a short walk to Sun Studios and less than 20 to Beale Street, the Home of Blues Music. Easy parking on the street out front. The building itself is a stunning two-storey Victorian, with an intelligent subdivision into three spacious apartments. in ours there was a separate bathroom, tv lounge, reading room, fully appointed kitchen and a large bedroom with a balcony overlooking a small garden. Oksana and Danae, our hosts, have thought of everything that you would need for any length of stay. Washing machine, dryer and dishwasher. ample crockery and cutlery, and a huge fridge. Each of the rooms are well-lit with natural light and have an eclectic and interesting collection of furniture, furnishings and wall art. We highly recommend it to anyone wishing to spend time in Memphis. If we could give it an 11 out of 10 we would. And if you do get to Memphis, don’t miss the Slave Haven Underground Railway Museum, the National Civil Rights Museum, Sun Studios, Stax Museum, Beale Street and the Peabody Ducks.

This place was amazing. The historical aspects and architecture were amazing. That aside the beds were comfortable there were plenty of things in the kitchen if needed. We did not cook as this is Memphis and we wanted BBQ lol The location was great. Breakfast right across the street and not too far from Beale St and many other amazing places I honestly can not say enough about this place. The hosts were amazing and attentive. Answered all questions and very helpful making sure we had everything we needed. Instructions were clear and easy to understand I can not wait to visit Memphis again and would not hesitate to stay at Shellcrest!!

The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had all the appliances needed, there was a could lounge area for sitting in and the bathroom and shower were superb. Free parking outside the door was an added bonus, as well as the superb resturant opposite

as it was so hot access to the back garden would have been helpful as sitting out front you were next to a busy main road. No other complaints at all

Fantastic building and furnishings, loved the quirkiness.

Curtain/door from second bedroom to living room; it was uncomfortable with friend sleeping on the sofa effectively in the same room as a couple. If they need the toilet they had to walk through the bedroom to get to it.

The apartment is historic but with that comes age and an inability to open windows. The location is good, across the road from a restaurant serving great breakfasts & lunch, near Sun Studio and Memphis Tour company and near a trolley, that I never saw in three days! The kitchen has a microwave coffee machine and the arrival snacks were welcome, as I didn't have a car & the nearest place to buy any was a 15min walk. The wifi was wonderful as was the hot water.

On arrival, it was about 100F degrees and on entering the apartment I smelt a sickly stale perfume smell. I think it was the washing powder fragrance but it was overpowering and pervaded the bedding & air for my whole visit. The bed was also more like a sofa bed attached to the walls. There was a large gap between the bed and bedhead, so pillows fell through it. There was also no light above the bed. The last person had locked the safe, so as there were no instructions as to how to reset it, it was useless and after one night, the TV refused to work- again no instructions to solve this. However, M emphis is a great place and this apartment was convenient.

the location, set up of the apartment was great, the customer service lady was really awesome. she helped us when needed and quickly. Parking was great. the restaurant across the street had some good food. I was thankful it was seasoning at the apartment cuz we cooked. Very nice place

We came down for a quick weekend and it was a very convenient location! We were able to drive to everything in a very reasonable amount of time and the parking was available all the time. The apartment itself was spacious and had a nice kitchen.

I wouldn't return too late unless you have a decent size group with you. This is a feature of Memphis, not of this property.

Apartment very clean, did have an issue gaining entry only because I didn't have access to the message that had been sent by owner. Once I got message no problems and the 4 pack in the fridge was a welcome sight

Location was a little way from centre to walk but only took 30mins, having a car for sightseeing meant the location was ideal as not in the centre - so location is really neutral depending on whether you use a car or walk

Location was perfect for what we wanted to do. Close to everything. Was walking distance to great breakfast place. Beautiful old building, had everything we could need. Very, very clean and someone available within minutes if we sent a text and needed anything. Always friendly and professional when I had a question. We would definitely recommend and return

The entry way lights were out and it was very dark at night. I let staff know and she said they had an order in for a technician to come out. Also the door would not lock from the outside at the entry way. If locked from the inside the code was needed, but if people left unlocked, anyone could access the building.
