The long driveway to the house give you the impression of a stately manor. It looks very much like an english house in the countryside. The beds were very comfortable and the space heaters worked well once the timer has been programmed. My brother managed to finagle use of the dryer as only the washer was listed. He and the proprietor must have talked for hours about who knows what and he also joined us for breakfast. We only got to see and pet the alpacas on our departure, but my niece thought they were cute. There was plenty of hot water from the shower and the heat lamp and warm towel bar were appreciated too. The reason I chose this location was that it was within easy driving distance of Rotorua, Hobbiton and the Waitomo Glowworm caves. Taupo wasn’t that far away either.

Not a good location of those with limited mobility as all the rooms are up 25 stair steps. The boiler was down for maintenance and thus the common spaces were not well heated.

2 story home surrounded by a mini forest, full of beautiful trees, plants, flowers, ponds with goldfish, alpacas. The exquisite views are a extra bonus, breakfast with the host is a great learning for both them and us and a great way to meet others whom had came from the UK and Germany. Bedroom is filled with antique tea set, bed is sturdy and comfortable as we were a bit skeptical being larger women. The highlight is the super powerful shower that feels like a massage whilst showering, temperature is very hot but all can be adjusted by the adjuster, pull out fully for a super powerful massage shower or push in to soften the pressure of the shower. Has a pool but was too cold to try. Everyone needs to visit this place to enjoy nature at its best and appreciate the hard work that this family has put in to create a space to relax and enjoy. Can be in hamilton in 5 mins, so extra bonus being so close. Search for the street instead of the address otherwise you'll waste time going on a merry go round and get frustrated.

The breakfast was a communal experience which we enjoyed with other guests and one of our hosts, an accomplished Chinese-American woman. Having traveled to China many times, we found her to be an interesting conversationalist and breakfast companion. Expect to be asked to remove your shoes in the house, as in many parts of Asia! The house and grounds are beautiful. The perimeter walls are dry stone walls as you might find in the UK. A long driveway bordered by cherry blossoms lead up to the house. In season (September) when the trees bloom, the owners host thousands of visitors and outdoor events in their grounds (Asian singing contests, pony rides etc.) It was out of season, but we were given food we could feed the alpacas with. The B&B is located within easy reach of Hamilton and area attractions.

My parents absolutely loved their stay at Cherry Tree Manor, which I booked for their Xmas / anniversary present. And this was their review: "The home was beautiful and spacious. Our room was comfortable and had fantastic views of the surrounding foliage and big leafy plants. We enjoyed the walk around the property and captured some awesome pics in the experience. I believe that Our most favorite experience was talking with Paul and Anne and the other guests at breakfast, we found we had so many things in common even though we all lived so far apart. I absolutely loved that there was a tea tray with a proper cup and saucer and teapot in the room. Breakfast was lovely, eggs and toast (offer of bacon but I dont eat it), cereal, fruit from the garden, preserves, fruit juice and the owner took the time to have a lovely chat each day over breakfast. I was lucky enough to stay when the cherry blossoms were out, they were stunning and so was the rest of the gardens. I also know that the owner took the time to take extra care of some older guests who didn't drive, picking them up from the airport and also taking them to the Hamilton Gardens. Amazing service!

Anne and Paul were the loveliest hosts ever. Such great conversations during morning breakfast here. Incredibly accommodating when you have any requests. The house is a 1930s build that is so beautiful and spacious. The 5 acres around the home are all gardens that were planted by the owners, and it makes for a lovely morning walk after breakfast! The property even has alpacas that you can feed! They are so sweet and gentle. The room was just right for my husband and i’s stay. Nice and quiet, had our own space, and very close to the city centre! Both the room and bathroom were very clean and tidy upon arrival as well. Couldn’t recommend this place enough!

Beautiful property amidst cherry trees and garden. Comfortable room, excellent shower. Rich breakfast. The host, Anne, joined us for breakfast and we had a great conversation. Then she invited us to feed the alpacas they have, including a cute baby alpaca. This was so lovely and enjoyable, something you do not gorget. If you come with kids they will love it! Highly recommended.

Just to mention: there is no TV in the room (DID NOT bother us).

A beautiful property inside and out. We were able to enjoy the magnificent spring garden. The blossoms and bluebells were stunning. Our hostess was welcoming and very friendly. We had a spacious ensuite room which was very comfortable with a great outlook of garden and pool. Breakfast was plentiful and in an elegant dining room. We received good value for money. This is a very tranquil place to stay in a pretty area just a few kilometres from town. We loved our stay and definitely recommend Cherry Tree Manor.

We had a wonderful stay here and only wish we had planned more nights in this location! We felt welcomed into Anne and Paul's home with our one-year-old daughter, who loved the stairs, the alpacas and the beautifully maintained gardens. The property itself is a stunning building and the location made it easy to get to both Hamilton and Cambridge. We had a delightful breakfast with Anne the next morning after a refreshing, quiet night's sleep, and headed off to Hobbiton. We've already begun recommending this b'n'b to family and friends. Could not fault this place! Thanks very much!

Greeted by a stunning driveway and beautiful grounds we knew we were in for a treat when we arrived at our accommodation. Annie welcomed us in and it didn't take long to understand why there are so many good reviews. With our 2 year old in tow we had an absolutely wonderful time as a little family of 3 settling in to cherry tree manor. With so much to explore from the stunning gardens, rock walls, pond, paddocks with friendly alpacas, and a huge swimming pool and spa, we wished we could've stayed longer. Surrounded by so much greenery with a country side feel yet a short 5 minute drive and we were in the city centre of Hamilton on the main street for dinner. Superbly close to the Hamilton Gardens. The location is fantastic and it's clear that Annie and her husband have poured a lot of heart into this place. I'm sure we'll be back again 😊
