I had a pleasant stay overall. The bathroom, bed sheets, and towels were very clean, which I really appreciated. The Superior King Room was spacious and stylish, and the fancy couch added a touch of comfort and elegance to the space. The location was excellent — centrally situated and within easy walking distance to a variety of restaurants, which made dining out very convenient. The breakfast served was delicious and offered a good variety, a great way to start the day. I also found the bed extremely comfortable, and the shower had excellent water pressure, which made for a relaxing experience. One small but important detail I appreciated was the availability of an iron and ironing board in the room — very handy during my stay

- Free parking is quite limited, first come first serve basis. - Room only had central heating and cannot operate with remote.

We stayed during Mother's day weekend. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet. We went for a stroll on the riverside and also visited the Waterworld. I love to see that Novotel is owned by the local Iwi (Tainui). I appreciated the art-work and taonga around the facilities.

That we had to leave early...my daughter said we have to come back! Minor things, like housekeeping probably needed another toilet roll in our room (Two adults and Child -8 years of age) We only stayed for one night, but there were two half rolls on the holder.

Even though it was a very central location, once we were in our room, it was very quiet and we had an undisturbed sleep.

We chose to use the valet service and found it a bit disorganised. Granted we did arrive about an hour or so after check in time, so it was a bit busy but we handed in our keys right away and decided to go for a walk. 1 1/2 hours later, we returned to the hotel and saw that our car was still in front of the hotel, and since we had our spare car keys, I quickly grabbed something out of the car only for one of the staff to come up and ask if we were guests and when we said yes, they stated that where the car was parked had a 15 minute limit. I told them that it was already booked in and that they had my keys which they were surprised about. A bit concerning, I’m just glad it wasn’t towed away.

Friendly staff very attentive, well located for shops food etc very nice room, more breakfast tea bags in room ok you can phone for more but should not have to in expensive room, and to top it of were not replaced next day

Parking hit and miss, was told Parking on site free but not so little spaces max 15 or otherwise very expensive sky car parking also would of liked preferred bar drinking lounge rather taged on to restaurant

Communications prior to arrival were superb 👌 quickly able to ensure we had extras such as valet parking booked and cot available for our pēpi sorted. Our 7yr old was so impressed and absolutely loved her stay. Our room was so comfy. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast downstairs, and booked in to have dinner there also. it was absolutely delicious. Big ups to the staff and chefs. Everyone we encountered was so polite and always trying to ensure they're meeting our needs. Loved how central everything was! We didn't need to drive any where really because everything is at walking distance.

I think a microwave in the room would have been helpful during our stay.

Our one night stay here was enjoyable. Staff were extremely helpful & courteous. The hotel was extremely busy as a cricket test was on in Hamilton at the time of our stay, but there were plenty of staff working to cover car parking and a very busy breakfast service. Our room, which was exceptionally clean had a view of the Waikato River. The hotel is well located in the town center with heaps of near by bars and restaurants.

There was not one thing to fault with this property.

Convenient location, check-in staff were terrific.

It was average for the price you're paying for the name. We have stayed in nicer places for less. There is mold on the grout in the shower, and the bathroom fan is not working, letting cold condensation drip on you while having a shower, which I did let them know about. The water pressure was inferior. The valet parking was ok, but too many cars blocked the drive, so it was not viable. The cot we requested wasn't there, and we had to ring for one.

Well, well, well, the staff were as friendly as puppies in a pet store, and checking in and out was smoother than a buttered-up slide. Now, about this hotel: it's nestled in the perfect spot, but parking? It's like trying to fit a giraffe into a Mini Cooper! But fear not, I'll unravel that parking yarn in a bit. All said and done, our stay was like a fine pizza – a few quirks on the crust, but oh-so-delicious overall!

Ah, parking, the ultimate quest! Free spots are as rare as unicorns here, folks. If you're not lucky enough to stumble upon those elusive freebies, your options are: shell out $32 for the hotel parking or go all-in with Sky City's $38 parking extravaganza. It's like a game of "find the needle in the haystack," except the needle costs $32 and the haystack $38!

The room was perfect for 3 people. The rooms were very clean. Nice job cleaner’s 👍 . Beds were comfortable and the room arrangement with the tv situated where we could all watch together. So happy. The staff right round from the doorman to the cleaning team the chefs to the receptionists! It also happened to be my birthday when visiting and arrived back to our room to find a birthday card and dessert to boot?? What an awesome surprise 😊 fantastic end to my birthday just fantastic. Thank you all so very very much. Will be back! And recommend to everyone I know.

The room was very quiet and the room service was excellent. We loved your hot chips and cheesy garlic bread as a snack for room service. The restaurant was excellent and the service staff were very friendly and helpful when we had dinner and breakfast. The beds are very comfortable and we would love to know the makers of the mattress.

Paying for parking as we assumed it would be included in the booking.
