We loved the pool and the staff were very friendly

It’s not something you can do anything about but the children staying at the property not being supervised doing dangerous and very unacceptable behaviour. A child was standing on the empty garden bed between the tennis court and the basketball court throwing river rocks into the neighbouring property. Another child in the pool was catching the little puffer fish bringing them to the surface when staff told him to stop he said I’m allowed too. Also a staff member told the same child not to jump off the rocks into the pool he completely ignored them and jumped off the rocks. Maybe children are not allowed into the pools or other areas under a certain age without parental supervision.

Hotel is beautiful, spotlessly clean & staff are lovely - friendly & professional. Our room was great, loved the coffee pod machine & toiletries smelt amazing. The pool is brilliant - although slightly run down, overall it is great - choice between snorkelling in saltwater with tropical fish, swimming in normal chlorine pool or the waterslide. On-site underground parking is handy & tram stop a short walk away.

If you don’t like buffets the food options are limited. We had tepanyaki at Misono - which was a fun experience & entertaining, but unfortunately the food all tasted the same. We had also booked a la carte at Citrique via their website but at checkin found out they had extended the buffet longer due to holidays. Staff were lovely about the confusion & even had a call from manager offering other options.

The pool facilities and lagoon with coral reef in it are exceptional. If you came just for this you’d be happy. But restaurant is amazing too. Rooms are spacious and well appointed.

Buffet breakfast, they kept taking our Fittler without replacing. We had to chase cutlery ourselves. We weren’t offered another coffee after we were seated. This coffee lover needed at least 3 to get the day started.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at JW Marriott Gold Coast! The hotel is perfectly located — just a short walk to the beach and close to everything you need while still offering a peaceful, resort-style atmosphere. The food was exceptional across all venues — from the lavish breakfast buffet to the beautifully crafted dinners. Every meal was a delight! What truly stood out was the service. The staff were warm, professional, and genuinely friendly — always ready to help with a smile. The attention to detail and care they showed made our stay feel extra special. The resort itself is stunning — beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and offering a true sense of luxury and relaxation. The lagoon-style pool is a highlight, and the overall ambiance is both elegant and welcoming. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the Gold Coast — this hotel is a real gem!

Excellent customer service, all clean facilties and room, nice modern appointments in room. Excellent buffet breakfast. Excellent dinner at Misono!!! So, so, delicious - it's a must go, but book in advance or you'll miss out. Staff - definitely worth noting how much they look after the guests, they were amazing - best place I've stayed in this respect.

Sadly the pillows were as flat as pancakes :( The conceirge forgot to send a trundle bed to our room and then charged for it when it was meant to be complimentary. You do have to queue for breakfast, but the queue moved pretty quickly. Lots of Ibis around the pools and they sneakily try to take food from your pool lounge table. Lots of large lizards that are trying to get your food and your BBQ chicken pizza! At prices this high, parking should be free for guests.

The property was decorated beautifully for Christmas, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. The lagoon was a highlight with our kids and the spa was a highlight for mum. The dining options were incredible and there were a lot of out of the box ideas for the kids, movies, popcorn daily, arcade, cooking classes for the kids and sea scooter / snorkeling for swimming etc. The rooms were clean and cleaned regularly. Every single staff member was obliging and helpful. The buffet breakfast was awesome!

The hotel didn’t appear to keep up with the amount of guests. I noticed the bins were not emptied regularly around the pool, which left a bit of a smell on arrival. The pool area didn’t feel clean. The lagoon pool had a lot of algae and was mirky a lot of the time when swimming. I’m not entirely sure if that was normal. The in room dining was expensive and there was a $6 charge per order, which I felt was an expense that shouldn’t be there considering the price of our stay.

I’ve been coming here since I was 4 years old. Absolutely love this place with all my heart. I’ve noticed this time I came back, that all the workers treated us absolutely amazing!!! Made my stay there a lot more welcoming. As an 18 year old, I tend to get profiled wherever I go. But here, I was treated so good, I thank the workers for all their hard work…. Coming into work everyday no matter the problems they might be dealing with at home. They still tend to make our needs meet first.

There’s nothing I didn’t like, however I noticed a few differences…. Not as much food on the menu then there used to be, also I don’t think the “lazy river” is a thing in the pool anymore. But other than that my stay was perfect.

From start to finish, this hotel exceeded all of my expectations. It’s a beautiful property, and you can immediately tell how well-maintained and clean everything is. The service was top-notch—ten out of ten from the moment we arrived. Our room was spacious, with stunning views that made the stay even more enjoyable. The pool itself was absolutely stunning—such a relaxing place to unwind. The pool services were fantastic as well, adding to the overall luxury experience. One of my highlights was definitely the breakfast. I looked forward to it every morning! There was such a wide variety of options, and once again, the service was outstanding. Everything was quick, efficient, and everyone was so friendly. Honestly, I have absolutely nothing to fault. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Gold Coast.

JW Marriott is one of our favorite hotels in Southeast Queensland, and this stay reaffirmed why. The facilities are stunning, the rooms are spacious, clean, and well-designed, and the showers are among the best we’ve experienced. On the positive side, the spa treatments were incredible, and the kids' meals were generous in portion size. The sushi bar was lovely, with incredibly friendly staff, and the teppanyaki experience was fantastic—the chefs were engaging, and the food was excellent. We did have to wait 20 minutes due to another party not showing up, but ultimately, our booking proceeded without them. While most of the staff were lovely, the service at Chapter & Verse bar downstairs wasn’t quite up to the same standard as the rest of the hotel.

There were, however, a few disappointments. We were unable to use our $100 credit on the first day, which was frustrating, especially since we still spent in excess of $500 that day (with charges allocated to the room and payment made at the sushi bar). The buffet breakfast is fantastic, but on our final day, we had to wait approximately 20-30 minutes for a table. It was frustrating to see couples behind us in the queue being seated before us, despite being a family of four. It was only after we pointed this out that we were finally seated.

The hotel exceeded our expectations. The pool area is amazing, with a sandy beach and a section with real fish! The rooms are modern, newly fitted out and very clean. The beds were very comfortable. Our kids loved the breakfast buffet, which had a huge array of options. The large gluten free selection was also appreciated by some of the guests in our group. The staff took time out to chat to us and remembered our orders. Although it was very busy during the school holiday period, the staff coped well and we rarely had to wait for anything.

We visited during an extremely busy period and there were occasionally small lines for the lifts. The restaurant food is fantastic, however it would have been useful for the buffet restaurant to offer a more general service on some days of the week (rather than the Chef's Hat seafood and steak option, every evening).
