We liked our stay so much that we came back to stay again. The hotel has a beautiful ocean view, clean and comfortable rooms, good food, nice inside and outside pool, spa and sauna facilities.

My only complain is that hotel should correct information on Booking and don't say that the room has a balcony, if it doesn't. And please don't blame customers for believing information written while booking. Other than that, our stay was great and I would recommend this hotel to friends.

For a 4 star property, this hotel is outstanding.

I understand that i paid a "promotional price" so got a good deal, but the location of room was very disappointing, when you don't even get a view of the carpark, but a wall is awful. Rooms 337/338 are actually below driveway level.

Excellent breakfast with lots of choices. Staff are friendly and hotel and outdoor areas are immaculately clean. Room is comfortable and quite spacious. Appreciated the little treats in our room each day when we returned after hiking and sightseeing.

Free parking out front is quite limited and staff do not enforce the no parking areas. We had difficulty departing the hotel to catch our flight as a number of cars were parked illegally and had boxed us into our actual parking spot. Had to drive up onto the sidewalk and do some crazy maneuvers to get out of our spot.

A lovely property. I particularly appreciated the swimming pool area - a lovely, decent sized pool, enough sun-loungers and parasols for all who wanted them, great views over the sea, palm and banana trees and lovely tropical flowers near the pool etc. The "sun deck" on the top floor with a variety of types of seating and a bar area was also great. Lovely views from the breakfast room / terrace over the pool and sea too. My room and all the communal areas were nicely decorated too. Breakfast was good quality and a huge choice for those who can eat a lot for breakfast! Some of the staff, notably Vitor at reception and the senior bar guy in the evenings were particularly helpful, kind and friendly - especially important when you're travelling solo. Note: the hotel is not in central Funchal but about 45 mins walk from the centre however the walk is pleasant, plus there are two public buses which pass in front of the hotel going into central Funchal (& also in the other direction to Camara de Lobos). Bolt and Uber are also both available and are much more cost effective than, e.g. in the UK.

The only "negative" was the service in the Italian restaurant in the hotel was slow and really unfriendly. Perhaps I got unlucky that evening but it meant I only used it once.

Lovely spacious room. Modern & clean hotel. Breakfast buffet was good - as expected at large hotels, lots of variety. Staff generally friendly but a few seemed a bit grumpy/unwilling to help at times.

It seemed like the hotel wanted to charge us at every opportunity.... extra money to use the steam room/sauna & parking etc. We asked if we had a sea view - we were told we didn't and asked to pay €50/night extra for an upgrade - we declined, got to our room and it was a sea view anyway - so they were attempting to charge us for no reason! The car park was very difficult to use - very small and dark. Disappointed to see the hotel shuttle only ran into town around 4 times a day - we expected this to be far more frequent, so either drove or used the public buses.

The room was very good, good air-conditioning and a nice balcony to sit outside. Breakfast was plentiful with a great variety of choice. Options of sitting outdoors with lovely views. Some staff were lovely and helpful, but not all. Nice reception area with wonderful floral displays. Very clean overall. Little treats in the evening.

Bed was a little hard, but ok. No milk for the tea provided and when I asked for a drop of milk or even powdered creamer, they tried to charge me €2 for this (I would buy 2 litres of milk at home for that!). We tried the buffet dinner on our first evening - in spite of an excellent breakfast, the evening buffet dinner was so disappointing, the cooked food tasted bland with no real choice for vegetarians! Not the easiest or clearest access to hotel if you hire a car.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel with my friend. Everything exceeded our expectations. The breakfast each morning was tasty and offered a great variety of options. The staff were kind and always made us feel welcome. The hotel’s shared spaces were stylish and clean, and the ocean view was simply breathtaking. One of our favorite spots was the terrace – perfect for enjoying a drink from the hotel bar. The pools were excellent as well, ideal for both relaxing and swimming. Our room was cozy and nicely decorated, and we really appreciated the small snacks left after housekeeping. The location was very convenient, with easy and quick access from the airport by bus. Would definitely stay here again!

The hotel is great, clean and big rooms, very nice view of Atlantic Ocean. The food was very good, also the live music from 8-10pm was excelent. I love the spa and the welcoming massage and drink! The staff on the reception was very helpful with all we asked. I love that the hotel management is thinking on small details that make the difference between them and other locations: water and Madeira wine, cookies, welcome drink and massage, live music. Thank you for a great experience 🥳

A bit far from the city center, but there are shuttle bus from the hotel or public transportation.

It was our 2nd stay at the hotel. We love the location and the view from the balcony. The staff at the reception desk was kind and very helpful. The hotel area was huge, well organized, and decorated, which made us feel very comfortable.

For a short stay the breakfast was great but for a longer stay a bit monotone (more variety would be appreciated). The staff in the breakfast area was very welcoming and pleasant except one rude waiter, who treated us badly as 2nd sort clients. Overall clean, but one day we found fresh towels in the bidet (hopefully an accident, not a common practice).

Great hotel near the sea... it's very big with different things to do there .. it has a few restaurants, a great outdoor swimming pool, great views from the main restaurant where I had my breakfast.. you could see the sunrise and the sea.. it's really really nice. Rooms were big and clean , bathroom was great as well. Room service was top notch , each day there were leaving extra snacks/fruits in my room, they were very attentive, the hotel is a bit expensive but it's worth it, you can't go wrong with it.

I wanted a king size bed in my room but unfortunately there were 2 beds merged together ... not a big issue though
