Everything was great. excellent hotel, very nice staff, clean rooms. Delicious breakfasts, convenient parking. stayed for 3 nights and everything was very comfortable. convenient to get to all interesting places. I recommend and would like to come back again

Large and beautiful room with view on ocean and on the Funchal city lights. Fantastic breakfast! Clean and good pool area, garden with lots of greenery and seating. There is no traffic noise, since the hotel is not by the main street, you will hear the sound of the ocean but the door to the balcony is perfectly soundproof. Just outside the hotel garden entrance starts a walking path along the ocean which is handy. Tons of restaurants close by.

It would have been nice if the swimming pool was a bit warmer, but this was in February so I guess I could not expect that since the pool is probably not heated.

The sea view from the room was amazing. One of the best views of the ocean directly from the room ever. Very spacious room and location of the hotel was excellent. Very close to the supermarkets, restaurants, car rentals etc.. Direct access to the sea, beautiful snorkling opportunities directly at the hotel, nice pool, amazing breakfast.

The staff was in general super nice and super helpful. Unfortunate thing was that on one day the room was not cleaned by the staff... I would also appreciate better introduction of the hotel and their services during check in. For instance, we were not informed about gym during check in. Nevertheless, I would love to come back in light of all positives (see above)

Amazing view of the ocean! We were on 8th floor, right above the ocean: magical! Breakfast room also with amazing view of the ocean, can sit outside in the terrace. But food too repetitive, exact same thing every day for the full week we were there :/ Good daily cleaning of the room.

Very small spa area, gym even smaller. They just had a small sauna and opening hours were awful, you could not use it basically. Only outdoor pool and for me water temperature is freezing, could not put a finger inside the water. Breakfast food too repetitive, exact same thing every day for the full week we were there :/

Everything! The sea view, had rm 607 and felt like we were on a cruise. The entire staff, esp. Lisbeth who always knew what we needed before we did. The birthday cake we found in our room after an evening out was a wonderful surprise and much appreciated. The entire staff, from office to pool bar and dining room was very kind and helpful. There Wes one guy,whose name we don’t recall, but every time we needed something he was there. He helped with our suitcases, worked in food service and greeting new gusts. He always had a warm smile, cute chuckle, and soft voice. I hope you know of whom we speak because he really deserves recognition.

Breakfast buffet was underwhelming and close to same every day. Also, the dinner buffet used cut up breakfast leftovers in the salads and for appetizers. The special dinner, where we paid 35 euro, was good and very accommodating to food preferences.

The location is stunning, one of the best in Funchal-Lido area. All rooms have panoramic view to the ocean, with direct acces to the water. We've stayed in the lower floors on the western side of the hotel with direct view to the rock. It was like staying above the ocean. Cheap parking places across the street (4 euro per day). The old Lido Villa is very nice, well maintained, very good cocktail.

Good breakfast with multiple choices but no variation during the week. Average quality of food at breakfast. No smileing personnel, except the guys from reception. The Spa was not functionning so no much to do in the cloudy days (the island is amazing, a lot of spectacular landscapes).

Great sea view from the tower complex. Room was spacious.and clean. Nice to have the fridge and safe available. Pleasant surprise with the bathrobes and slippers! All staff were super friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was varied, lots of different fruits and vegetables and hot food options. The restaurant staff were happy to make omelette and pancakes etc. whenever requested. Pool area was lovely, gym facilities and Spa.

Not much to dislike to be honest. Nitpicking.... The hot food (eggs, sausage, hash browns, etc.) could have been warmer as they cooled whilst standing. There was some sound bleeding over from next door, so noisy neighbours could be a distraction. Not a fault with the hotel per se. Overall, neither of the above were much to worry about and did not impact our enjoyment of the stay in the hotel or the beautiful island of Maderia.

We really liked this hotel. Its greatest asset are all the nice service stuff that are extremely polite and welcoming. The room was nice, clean and spacious with a view over the ocean and island. The pool area is really nice, clean and convenient if you are looking to rest under the sun.

Just two small considerations: breakfast was ok, but maybe there could be a better selection of ham and cheese; It would be nice to have a dryer on the balcony to hang the swimming suits and towels.

The staff are genuinely friendly and helping. They were so nice to even bringing a birthday cake to my room. The outward architecture of the building from the rocks makes you feel closer to the ocean which I enjoyed much. I would love to revisit. I hope they open the entrance to the ocean for swimming, this would make the hotel the best one in the island for sure.

There was a sealed door in my room which made the sound from neighbouring rooms to be transparent. A double bed should not be two single beds connected. Many hotels do this but It is as uncomfortable and small as one single bed. I do not recommend the spa.

Great location, amazing view to the ocean, tasty breakfasts. Staff is very nice. In the room they welcomed us with pastels de nata and drink Brisa

We had a room for 3 people and I was sleeping on the couch as 3rd bed - it was very uncomfortable, my hips hurt me after each night. Also, from high standard hotel I would expect more events happening, their calendar was very chaotic and I found it boring. Except from the view and location, there is not much more to get. On the website it was written they have indoor pool which they don't have and outside pool was cold
