VERY Clean, great view, well equipt, friendly staff,

Poor lift system, old fashion/ out of date decor, needs modernising, stairways need renovating,

Buffet breakfast had enough variety to suit everyone. Good size clean room. Nice sea view from the private balcony. Studio had a kitchen with fridge, stove, cooking utensils, plates, cutlery, microwave and dining table inside. More than enough if you want to cook/eat/drink in. Good size bathroom and very hot water in the shower. Spa area had good showers as well. Have seen same value in 4 star hotels

WiFi wasn’t great. Intermittent and slow at times. Had to reconnect multiple times. No WiFi at the buffet restaurant. Had to book sauna and it didn’t work some of the time

Great value for your money. The hotel had great facilities such as a pool, rooftop terrace, restaurant and bars. The breakfast was affordable and delicious. The kitchenette was very helpful, you don't often find that in a hotel. The cleaners were great. Very close to good restaurants and bars. The paid parking was great once we had it.

We couldn't get hotel parking right away so it was difficult to find street parking. Once we got in to the paid parking lot it was very easy and convenient.

Arrived from the airport, and although parking at the property was unavailable, the staff were quick to point us in the right direction. We were able to park at a supermarket on the seafront for €4 for 24 hours, which was just minutes from the hotel. The room was small but perfectly adequate for three adults. We had a sea view, kitchenette and private bathroom. The facilities were clean and ideally located for exploring the area. We also had access to the pool, which was perfect for an early swim. We also required an extra cup as the room only had two, but within minutes, the staff had provided an extra glass, cutlery, and crockery should we need it. The beds were comfortable, with ample pillows. Supermarkets and restaurants are within a short walking distance, as is the seafront, which had some perfect spots for watching the sunset. It is undergoing some renovation works, but this didn't impact our stay at all. It is an ideal spot for anyone wanting a basic yet comfortable base for exploring Funchal.

Great location, I was worried when I first booked this hotel as I wasn't sure what was around us. The hotel is very short walk to the main street, there are plenty of Spar shops, bars, restaurants basically outside the door. Hotel was great, rooms basic but cleaned, and beds made everyday. Reception staff excellent, breakfast is self served and a great selection of hot and cold foods, cereals, yogurts, tea/coffee/juice and fruits. Pool area very quite, we used the pool in the sister hotel, this was mostly quite but has an excellent Terrace Bar with nice background music and nightly entertainment. It wouldn't be a hotel for kids as it was mostly older people and couples, kids could get bored. Nice indoor pool. We had a brilliant stay.

Drinks a little expensive compared to outside

Perfect place for those travelers who want both, explore the island and relax in one of the swimming pools at the hotel. Very nice apartment with a little kitchen and breathtaking view, located in a very quiet and safe neighborhood, not far away from the downtown of Funchal, close to few supermarkets and all you need to spend your dreaming holidays. Breakfast was OK as well. The staff was very helpful and answered all questions I had. Highly recommended.

A very good three star hotel. Location is really good if you want to use the sea swimming facilities of the Lido area. It is also walkable into Funchal centre. Lots of bars and restaurants around to suit every budget. Also a number of supermarkets which is great if you want to prepare simple meals in the studio kitchenette. Helpful staff.

Beds are a bit hard - but that's just personal preference.

2 swimming pools plus one in the next hotel possibility to have early breakfast if you go on an excursion and cannot attend normal breakfast serving hours the hotel has their own parking which is 7euros a day and very convenient but quickly full so I would recommend booking it in advance. Worse case scenario the supermarket near Lido is 4euros for the entire night. Nice views from the balcony

one of the lifts was broken so there were queues of more than 10min to catch turn there were mosquitos in the room when we arrived. A pity the indoors swimming pool was closing too early (8pm) The gym is small no more than 4ppl can fit and there was no AC

Everything was great. And the view is insane

We didn't try the pool cause we had just one day to stay in town and not be hiking somewhere and the lady from reception keep saying that she doesn't have towels yet for 3 hours and keep making me go there to ask about them every hour until i quited the idea of a pool day. I thought she was rude to not try to find a solution after the 3rd time going to ask...

Loved the amenities in the Dorisol complex. Several pools. Plenty of restaurants. The rooftop lookout was amazing. Sangha coworking space. Very close to food stores and beach complex. Only 5ish Euros to cab downtown. Incredibly friendly staff. Beautiful views, especially from the balcony.

The internet speed was abysmal - 5Mbps. It also dropped off numerous times. If I didn't have a data plan, I wouldn't have been able to work.
