The location was perfect, the facilities were great.

Parking is a massive issue. Such a small, cramped space without any logical layout, lots of pillars which makes it really tricky to manoeuvre. We scratcher the side of a car twice, trying to get out. The other thing was a lack of toiletries after 3rd day. We used 2 shower gels provided at the arrival, but they have not been refilled after. We asked at the reception, they couldn't find it but said they would tell the room service to do it for us. Unfortunately, we didn't get any. The breakfast was also a letdown a little bit. Not much variety as you would expect. Also, there was something odd with the electric sockets in our room. Some of them were not working at all, so we couldn't charge phones or put lights on.

The indoor pool & Jacuzzi 🥰 even if we have used them once since we was busy every day, the amount of tropical plants in this villa make it a beautiful place to stay at & the balcony facing the garden was good too.

The furniture in the room needs a renovation as you can tell they have been used for years, there where no efficient plugs to charge our phones etc, the plugs were behind the bed or there was one under the cabinet of the tv, lights were also not so bright. Breakfast was very basic with minimal variation to choose from.

The staff was nice and helpful, and we really enjoyed the large common spaces/amenities of the hotel - sitting area, outside areas, and indoor pool. There are tons of places to just hang out, both inside and outside, and the outside area is very green and well kept. There are tons of restaurants and bars all around the area.

I found the room to be a bit too small and parking was very difficult. There is not parking at the accommodation and finding a spot on the street nearby can be very challenging. There was no specific garage or parking option recommended by the hotel.

This hotel was so quiet and relaxing. We had the pool to ourselves most of the time and there was loads of sunbeds and chairs and beach towels were provided. The staff were all so lovely and welcoming and were available to answer any questions. Room 11 was really big and clean and the beds were so comfortable with a thin duvet which was great. Overall I would recommend this hotel it was near a number of restaurant's and shops and you can get picked up from there for all tours on get your guide.

Wide variety of food at breakfast. Excellent location with friendly local bar and good restaurants nearby, handy supermarket nearby, pleasant 20 minute walk to Funchal centre. Staff friendly and helpful. Hotel built in traditional style. Indoor and outdoor swimming pools were very nice to swim in after a hot day sightseeing.

Fridge in our room could have been a little larger.

There is an indoor and outdoor pool. The location is good. Around a 50-minute walk to the centre of Funchal, there are may bars and restaurants nearby. There are a number of Spar shops nearby too. Breakfast was good and plentiful. The room was clean and bright. All in all, it's really nice and good value for money.

Room was lovely, furniture old but rustic with a colonial feel. Lots of lust outdoor plants. Staff were very friendly and hospitable. Breakfast had a calm relaxing vibe

The outdoor space was quite shaded by 3-4pm in February, to be expected in a beautiful urban jungle but a bigger patch of warm sun would have been nice. Breakfast was o.k./nice but could have been better (note I ate it all just lacked variety)

This was a truly wonderful place to stay in a very central location. The gardens, outdoor and inside pool were amazing. The accommodation was excellent and there was plenty of choice for breakfast. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. This was our first visit to Maderia and if returning would have no hesitation in booking this beautiful villa 😍

There was nothing we did not like, we would 100% recommend this villa to family and friends.

Excellent location, beautifully decorated rooms, historic architecture and antiques in a tranquil tropical garden setting, ocean views, balconies, indoor and outdoor pools, exceptional cleanliness throughout the hotel, very courteous and helpful multilingual staff, outstanding breakfast buffet with locally grown fruits, regional food products and homemade cakes.

I only wish I'd spent more time at this hotel.
