The location was very convenient in downtown Asheville. It had attached parking so there were no issues finding parking. The room was immaculate and very comfortable. It definitely exceeded my expectations by far! Best part is I could bring my BFF…my puppy dog!! And all the staff were sweet with him and very accommodating.

Pricey but nowadays everything is. My only “complaint” would be the parking garage was tight. Not good for larger trucks or over sized cars. But it’s in downtown so that should be expected.

What first stood out to me was how friendly the staff were. The folx at the front desk and area where you can buy food and drinks--and everyone else we interacted with--were just so friendly. I stay in hotels for business and fun very often (and have worked in the hotel industry also), and I have not seen that level of service in years (not even from super fancy hotels). The location was perfect--I'm not familiar with Asheville and great dining was literally steps away. The hotel itself was so cutely decorated and unique, and it's amazing that it's in downtown but you've still got great views of the mountains and a lot of greenery.

The only thing I'd change would be I wish the pool stayed open a bit longer (they close at sundown), and it's a nice pool with an amazing view so it was a really nice feature.

The location of the hotel was amazing. There was parking. You do have to pay $20 a day for that, but it was worth it. Parking in downtown Asheville is not easy. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The room was very clean. Our room was upgraded to a view of the mountains when we got there. We did not ask for that, but they did that for us. The staff was very nice and friendly there. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

The indoor lounge and terrace bar arear were fantastic, loved the little cafe and dining table for breakfast!

The 3rd floor pool deck has absolutely no shade available on a hot day unless you pay for a private cabana. We would have enjoyed sitting out there and having a few beers at the bar since we didn't want to swim but it was just so incredibly hot and there was no relief from getting a crazy sunburn so we just ended up hanging out in the indoor downstairs lounge

Good fairly priced

How heavy the room doors are and the constant banging all hours . Guests coming and going and doors just slamming shut. The cleaning ladies were extremely loud . They didnt even try to be quiet. They were not very friendly especially the head lady. Very unfriendly she made me feel uncomfortable.

The hotel was fantastic! Staff was kind and courteous. Although the construction next door was frustrating, I see first hand how Marriott is not allowing the hotel to post notices. The staff does everything they can to help with this. The reason for the review is due to me seeing several other guests berate and belittle the staff. Please, if you come to this hotel, do not take your frustrations out on the staff of the hotel that have no way of controlling the situation.

I didn't like how other guests at the hotel spoke to the staff. More than one person made more than one staff member have a much worse day than they should have had. Be nice to the people in the service industry!

Martin Johnson the night time house maid was so accommodating and friendly I admire an establishment that will employ and elderly man on oxygen and give him a.purpose in life to keep him busy. I admire the hotel for caring for dogs and trying to adopt them out We will definitely be back

Price and pool construction

The room was beautiful, we stayed in a corner room that had plenty of views of the mountains and the city. The front desk and housekeeping staff were very friendly and polite. All hotel staff did excellent work making sure we were comfortable and felt welcome and wanted. The location is the best part though. Easy to walk to anywhere we wanted to go the whole stay.

The hotel bed was not the most comfortable for me. My partner slept fine but I had some troubles sleeping at night. I think better pillows would help.

Location is perfect. We could walk everywhere we wanted to go. Staff, especially front desk lady, were really nice. Will stay again.

It was just a little noisy - I could hear slamming doors a lot and people shouting outside and car engines revving. I know there’s nothing that can be done about that, it’s just part of being in such a central location. It didn’t bother me too much but that’s literally the only complaint I had the whole time. If I wanted quiet I could go somewhere else but then I wouldn’t be so close to all the action! It’s a trade-off!

-Carpets seemed kinda dirty; my socks discolored to brown -The outdoor space with the pool and mountain view wasn't maintained well; the floor looked dirty and unappealing; the pool was super ugly drained; I didn't see a single soul go out there, despite nice weather and the fires being lit -The light switches are weird; they're all by the main entrance and confusing -Water from the shower floods over onto the floor, despite the glass door being closed
