The hotel was clean. Staff attentive easy parking in multistorey 10.00 for.24hrs. Ideally situated. Nice food. Use of spa 20.00per person per stay. No pool though

Bar prices extortionate i expect to pay more in hotel bars but 26.00 for 2 very small drinks is a.rip off. Also breakfast is only continental 12.50 if you want cooked. Over 200.00 per night have stayed in better hotels for this price.

Very courteous staff. Ideal location

Our room was slightly dated. You had to pay extra for a cooked breakfast when we’d laid for bed and breakfast!

The staff are very attentive and nothing is to much. The room was a good size and the beds are first class. Our room was a very good size and a generous mini bar..room service is fast and a turn down service was offered..Good facilities in the room, iron plus board etc. The room was spotless. Over all good value for money. Difficult to find fault.

Not to sure about the position of the check in desks. It felt slightly uncomfortable to me having other guests standing around me within inches while I was checking in..it might not seem like much but to be fair I had my credit card on show as well as my personal details and no idea who was standing behind me. Just moving the desk around slightly would make sense to me, just a thought. Other than that the check in staff where excellent, as where all of the staff.

the staff are superb. the room was clean and the bed comfortable. the location is great and the optional valet parking is brilliant.

the hotel needs a refurbishment. for the price paid I didnt expect to fnd a clingy nylon shower curtain, or torn and frayed curtains at the bedroom window, or an ancient bathroom.

good customer service generally. Excellent location and car park very easy to access. Excellent air conditioning, lovely bedroom with good facilities Staff were very friendly and it was nice to have a doorman on the main entrance. A laCarte meal was excellent

the continental breakfast was served by staff and it was a tedious process. It could be more streamlined if the staff were organised differently. My husband ordered pain au chocolat and after 20 minutes was told they had run out and were waiting for more. We left before they came because it was turning into an ordeal. Having said that the muesli and fruit salad were excellent. the main stairs could do with another handrail on the opposite wall because they are quite hard to ascend and descend if you have mobility issues and the main banister is not easy to hold.

Central city position. Luxury of the room. Our room’s proximity to the lift for the car park.

Breakfast service. Very disorganised especially as everything was served (no self service for anything) and took ages to arrive. Lack of easily accessible public rooms or sitting area in the entrance hall except in front of desks. No coffee available when we arrived early. Good suggestion of cafe by receptionist for elsewhere. We went for an excellent breakfast at that cafe on the second morning despite having B&B paid for at the Grosvenor.

Valet parking excellent. Check in and all pre stay booking excellent. Professional helpful staff. Special mention to Nabil who worked in the bar/restaurant. Comfortable large bed. Great location. We always return to this hotel.

Although our room was lovely we felt the bathroom was a little small for an executive room and just a personal dislike of shower curtains. Sorry. We had the upgraded breakfast the first morning and although clearly good quality ingredients, it was cold. We didn’t say anything as you can’t really reheat a breakfast without spoiling it and we had already waited some time. Consequently, we just had continental the second morning.

Hotel is excellent location on the pedestrian mall in Chester, inside the old city walls. So location was great. Parking is in attached public garage so pretty convenient, but you do have to pay extra for it. The public areas of the hotel are lovely and well appointed. Sadly, the room was tired and needed a redo. Small bath and old furnishings. Staff was fine and location made it easy to explore the city including walking the wall which took about 45 minutes to go around. Would recommend dinner at The Architect restaurant and pub near the race course and the city walls. Great out door garden and patio with good food and drinks.

Room was tired and old.

This is a great location but is looking a bit tired in our opinion needs a little love room service meal excellent couldn’t fault and the team with the problem we had sorted straight away and was very apologetic, the bed was very comfortable and clean cotton sheeting bathroom was also very clean nice big bath

Although we were looked after as our room wasn’t quite right which was much appreciated, the new room was great but needs updating as curtains stained by sunlight and bleach on bedroom carpet, sides of units by bed very dusty and lamp in living room shade broken we had continental breakfast which was very good but think some of the new staff need bit more training ,but these things take time and don’t happen overnight we no that, we did bring our concerns to the manager of restaurant on morning
