This was a fantastic hotel. We arrived from the UK at night, the hotel staff had arranged transport for us from the airport to the hotel, and made arrangements for our keys also. The next day they had arranged for breakfast to be delivered. When we did have a chance to meet she was very helpful in giving us information about where to go. Access to to the hotel was easy, it was centrally located and in walking distance to all the sites. Inside the ambiance, decorations, arrangements, furniture, and amenities were all fantastic. It was our first time visiting Venice and being at this hotel with such a helpful and accommodating staff was the cherry on top. Definitely recommend to stay here.

Nothing was there not to like.

I found this after reading hundreds of reviews and I was really impressed with the way the property communicated. Paola reached out and she was really warm with arranging a water taxi (do not skimp on this if you don't travel light! It was a godsend from the S Lucia train station!) She also helped our family with our apartments. The freshly baked bread she dropped off every morning was such a treat, especially in this cold winter when Venice was freezing! The Residenza Ducato is located very conveniently near the Rialto water bus taxi stop (about 350-400m) and there's a little street with cafes just around the corner. Walking distance to shops without being too touristy and noisy. Our rooms were heated and had everything ready for us. The shower was very high-tech (!) and kitchen well equipped although we just reheated our foods mostly in the microwave.

I believe the room doors are quite advanced but some guests may find it challenging to shut/ unlock. We had to use the master key to unlock as we found ourselves locked out when it didn't lock itself properly. But not a huge issue!

We travelled Italy for two weeks staying in several different locations. This hotel, by far, was the most superior. Real luxury with a family feel. The interior is pleasantly decorated. The outdoor courtyard is a lovely addition. We are a family of 4 with two teenagers. They had separate beds in the living room which was a bonus. The bathroom was well-appointed with all luxury amenities. This hotel is at a higher price-point however, totally worth the extra spend. Valentina, the receptionist couldn't do enough for us! She arranged our transfer to and from the Venice airport and was so helpful throughout our stay. We were surprised by the taxi cost but after much review, it was a fair price (150 euros each way). I recommend booking the water taxi through the hotel as they meet you right at the port drop off (otherwise a tad difficult to navigate independently).

This is not a hotel issue but mine. As a Canadian, I rely heavily on a dryer. Although the unit has a washing machine, it does not house a dryer. We did not use the proper washing cycle and our clothes were drenched. They took 3 days to dry. I strongly suggest asking for further clarification on the washing cycles.

Excellent location, 5 min walk from Rialto. Quieter that the GC are and I loved that everything I needed was within 5 min walking distance. Supermarket,bakeries, breakfast, cicchetti , dinner , everything. Gets much quieted in the evenings . The property had a small garden upfront and I am a sucker for open spaces, especially in tight places like Venice. We got ground floor apartment and was lovely. Valentina was a darling and helped us with many recommendations. Left us a pasticceria bundle one morning …

The lighting was pretty poor especially in the bathroom. Difficult to shave, apply makeup etc. that’s the only minor discomfort.

Excellent location for access to Rialto and Accademia bridges, San Marco and La Fenice. The apartment was warm, (our visit was in February) quiet, private, secure and spacious. Superb bathroom and shower. Kitchen was well-equipped, though we only used it for snacks and coffee. The fridge was stocked with reasonably priced drinks. Paola and Valentina were both very helpful. They booked a water taxi from and to the airport (140 euros each way) and Valentina met us at the dock and saw us off when we left. The apartment was cleaned every day and towels changed when requested.

What wasn’t to like? You walk into a ‘secret’ doorway into an immaculate little courtyard and that sort of sets the scene for the rest of it. It’s like staying in the best hotel but instead of just a room you actually have an apartment to yourself. Small but perfectly formed, it has everything you could need and all is at a really high standard. Really modern and some lovely touches like the minibar and coffee maker and even a washing machine if you were staying for longer. The breakfast pastries each morning came as lovely surprise to us and were delicious. The staff were really friendly and provided us with a little pack of information when we first arrived and were always helpful. The location is perfect, you can reach anywhere from here really easily too, cannot fault a thing.

Nothing could have improved our stay - loved it.

the room was very spacious. well equipped kitchen. the hotel is near a supermarket, therefore you could cook and store your groceries. no complaints. staff even provided a take away gift (fresh bakery) when we checked out. there is a lift - so if travelling with elderly its good. location was nearby to everything. water taxi num. 2 if you need to get to train station. if you book any tour (murano etc) the meeting location is nearby this hotel.

Wow. Amazing location, very accessible from airport via Alilaguna ferry - dropping off at Rialto means no need to carry luggage across bridges etc. Apartment was big and very stylish and well equipped. It looks as pretty as in the photos. Tucked away in a quiet alley but very accessible / central. Service was very kind and gracious. Valentina even dropped off some pastries for breakfast one day. This place is a hidden gem. There's also a Cute famous patisserie nearby which was great for breakfast too, and there's a good grocery shop a short walk away too.

The armchairs in the living room would be better served by a more comfortable couch instead - something to consider. There was also a slight odour which I understand is not atypical to Venice in the high tide. Regardless would still highly recommend the apartment.

It was centrally located to the main San Marco attractions. The room was a great size with separate bedroom, living room & bathroom. Our hosts Paola & Valentina were absolutely amazing. They organised our water taxi from the airport, met us at the landing point, gave us 2 days breakfasts at the local patisserie, bought us cakes and croissants and gave us valuable information about Venice. They also organised a Porter to take our luggage to the ferry station, they made our stay extremely enjoyable!! I would not hesitate in recommending the Residenza Ducato to anyone looking for accommodation in Venice!!

Stunning apartment with beautiful furniture, excellent bathroom, practical kitchen with dishwasher and Illy coffee machine, close to Piazza San Marco, Paola very friendly and helpful when she was there.

Staff was difficult to reach, nobody there during the day. Two times it was not possible to open the apt. with the key card which was especially nerve wrecking 30 minutes prior to our departure to the airport.
