The location is beautiful with spectacular views!!! Prime location!! The rooms are clean, spacious, and wonderful. The staff are all so kind and helpful making sure our stay was wonderful! Great for a family vacation, great place for kids!

The only thing that could use a little improvement, is that the pool could get crowded at times because people had day passes for the pool. And off and on monitoring of pool activity would be helpful because there were days when there was rough playing going on in the pool that was affecting others in the pool, and also people were using the pool life jackets to keep the gate open for others to get in without the use of guest keys. I let the front desk know this and they told us to let them know when we see it happen again and they would send staff out there to take care of that. They were very helpful in recognizing that this was not acceptable and helping us on how to handle it when it did happen again. Great helpful staff, always on it!!

The location is perfection. Beds were super comfortable and everything needed in the kitchen you could ask for utensil wise. Pool and hot tub were great temperatures and fun game room to play in too. Easy to drive to SLO and Pismo or Avila hot springs but can walk everywhere else around there

The only thing we wished was for an onsite bar/snack bar available. That is truly the only negative. But again you can pack all that and just have a cooler down at the pool so it was more of a “wish they had it” than they “need to have it”

The property itself was excellent. We will definitely be going back to stay several more times each year. The activities and the location are excellent.

We initially booked a week through Booking.com, which ended up being a huge mistake. Because we needed to make a change in our arrival date some how that change didn't communicate between Booking.com and the hotel system so when we arrived, it was a cluster. Fortunately, they still had one available room that was used as the model and they allowed us to upgrade to that room. My recommendation is not to use third-party booking companies, and to book with the hotel directly.

The property was absolutely gorgeous and so was the location. The view out of our room was amazing. I took my best friend there for her birthday and we had a great time. The staff that welcomed us when we got there were delightful and very accommodating. Our room was very clean and I loved that it had plenty of room(we rented the studio suite with a balcony.) Nothing bad to say about this place. I even loved our view driving up to the hotel and standing outside in the parking lot. It’s up on an incline so the view is spectacular and right on the beach. They also have great complimentary tea and coffee. I’ll definitely go back.

The suites were big and comfortable. There are plenty of beautiful common areas such as the pool and decks with view. The check-in was smooth, friendly staff, and the place has free parking. The best thing is the views of the ocean, are outstanding.

While there was much to appreciate during my stay, certain aspects of the room did not meet contemporary expectations. The hotel's fixtures and furnishings, including key items like the fridge, TV, toaster, and even the couch and bathrooms, seem to have remained unchanged for quite some time.

Nice property, liked facilities

The checkout time, 10:00am, and check-in time 4:00pm. Has 2 rooms reserved, I arrived at 3:30, one room was ready and the second was not ready until close to 4:30. Very in convienent for my family who had 2 young kids 11 and 13 and had to wait 45 minutes. This is the second time in the last 2 years that I have stayed at this resort that the second room has not been ready. If the check-in time is 4:00pm the second room should have been ready🙁

For starters, the location of the SLB Inn is overwhelming, and where it sits atop that hillside perch, provides amazing views. It is as scenic as can be, and it overlooks the Avila Beach village, the beach, coastline, the Pacific… we only stayed 2 nights, and we all would have loved to stay for more. Next, the service was as prompt, courteous, expedient, and pleasant as could be. Other favorable points to mention: plenty of parking, easy to venture into town and elsewhere, clean & modern rooms, amazing views from the seaside rooms, and plenty of ‘campus’ to walk around and relax.

The renovated rooms are beautiful.

My main suggestion would be for the hotel they get Chromecast or allow devices such as fire stick to be provided because the TV situation is horrible. What are my favorite things to do with my kids is to watch a movie every night. We couldn't do that.

Loved the location - glad we had a view (think I wouldn't have liked it without that). The room was great - full kitchen and two bathrooms. Beautifully appointed. Bed was a bit soft - but it was all very comfy. Staff were so super friendly always! The workout facility is nice and the pool and hot tubs were well-maintained (and open on a very cold February visit!)

Check out at ANY hotel that is at 10 am is ridiculous. They wouldn't extend it - so it really feels like you get 1 day and 1 night - not two when you can take your time to get up and go on. The restaurant was closed and there were not good options for food on their property (only vending - no small store).

Home away from home. Don’t hear the neighbors. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Great place. The General Manager is very helpful too! Like family.

We had a minor repair needed to a pipe while there. It happens but that really was the only thing.
