We were given a room on the top floor that opened out into a huge terrace! With 2 tables & many chairs. The view was awesome! You could see the city & the mountains! It was a comfortable room with coffee & place to hang clothes. Very comfortable room. Great location to the old town, perfect & walkable up the train station.

It’s a very hot room since it’s at the top, fortunately we had a fan & we could open a window & the doors to the terrace. I would not recommend the breakfast, it’s overpriced & literally within feet outside hotel you can find wonderful breakfasts that is reasonably priced.

The room is quite spacious. The location is excellent, with Coop and Bachmann bakery just around the corner. It is within walking distance to the Chapel Bridge, Lake Promenade, Jesuit Church, and the train station. However, it is advisable not to bring luggage with rollers, particularly larger sizes, as the roads leading to the hotel are cobblestone.

There was one small desk non-oscillating fan provided for a large room with four beds for ventilation. One bed is separated from the rest with a divider. The weather conditions were uncomfortably warm, and the room was located on the topmost floor. A request was made for an additional fan, but the receptionist stated that only one fan is allocated per room, despite it being a quadruple room.

The location is amazing, in a little square in Old Town, with anything you could need close by. The room itself was very comfortable and clean and had plenty of room for our family of four. We happened to be in town during a city festival and we were right in the middle of the action. Because of the city festival, we were unable to leave the windows open all night without it being noisy, but the trade off was worth it. We listened to the crowd singing down the street and found it charming. It was lovely.

The room was a little warm, but it was super hot during the day so that was expected. The fan provided did good work to help that issue as well.

perfect location in the historic Old Town, surrounded by beautifully decorated buildings and charming alleys. It’s within walking distance from the train station, making it a convenient choice for travelers. Despite being in such a central area, the surroundings were quiet, allowing for a peaceful stay. The staff was friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any requests. We also appreciated the visitor card provided by the hotel, which offered discounts and free bus rides. The room was always very clean, which is something we truly value.

Although the area itself was quiet, it was disappointing to be woken up early in the morning by housekeeping slamming doors. The Wi-Fi signal was weak, and there was no cable TV, which was a bit inconvenient. Additionally, the mattress and pillows were not comfortable, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. I also think guests would appreciate a kettle and some teabags in the room for added comfort.

The staff were very friendly - both the breakfast servers and front desk staff. We were in a time pinch one night and the staff was able to arrange a restaurant reservation for us that I’m sure alone would not have been possible. Hotel Krone was within walking distance of all our needs and sightseeing. We stayed several days in Lucern and took day trips via the trains to both Bern and Zurich. I appreciate the effort they took to have a different variety of breakfast items each day. Most enjoyable was the chocolate they offer guests at the front desk!

I stayed here with my 2 friends for 1 night in a triple room which was cosy, spacious and clean. We managed to walk around the room comfortably even with our 3 medium sized suitcases open. Centrally located right in the Old Town with many stores and restaurants nearby. Many attractions are reachable by foot. It is only 10mins walk away from the main train station which was very convenient specially if you have early trains to catch but it can take you 20minutes or more if you need to drag your suitcases. Staff was nice. This is my second time staying in this hotel and would definitely stay here again next time I visit Luzern.

This is a wonderful hotel in a beautiful square in central Luzern. I got a very nice welcome and the staff were magnificent. Very friendly and helpful, they really couldn't have been nicer. The room I had was well equipped and had everything I needed. The view of the old town Weinmarkt square was breathtaking, with Mount Pilatus visible on clear days. Breakfast was delightful, in a beautiful room on the ground floor. I was sad to leave this hotel, they made my stay a real pleasure and I have great memories.

The only thing I would have preferred was a slightly firmer pillow, but that's just a preference and certainly not a complaint.

The location was excellent and was right in the heart of Lucerne. It was close to most of the activities nearby and also to the Lucerne train station. The staff was helpful and very friendly, including the kitchen staff. I would recommend guests utilize the breakfast; it was very nice.

Although there was a small fan in the room, having a pedestal fan would help with hot summer days, as it can get quite hot in the rooms. It would also be nice if the mini fridge items were free to the guests.

The hotel is in the heart of the old town, close to the train and bus stations. There are extra and casual restaurants, shops and a Saturday market on the beach. Transport is easy and varied. Swiss Travel Pass is a good option for multi-day trips to Switzerland. The hotel staff is friendly and the breakfast selection is quite adequate (eggs, ham, salmon, yoghurt, muesli, fruit, coffee and pastries)

Location, location, location, location. Right in the heart of the old town, tucked a bit away from the bustle. It was helpful that the there was a separate small area with a "work area" where we could spread out our stuff to pack. Thebed was comfortable and they had a fan, thank goodness because it was during the heatwave. Also, the front desk led us to find a delightful unpretentious place that has home made pasta.

I didn't see any facilities - not sure what I would have wanted.
