Fabulous hotel, in a beautiful location. We chose a Superior Sea View Room and it was spacious! Lovely decor, comfortable huge bed, amazing view across the harbour and a decent size TV for once. Breakfast was fantastic and a wonderful choice to suit all tastes. The staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The lift came in handy to reach the upper floors, especially if you has just had one of their wonderful dinners in their restaurant. Very little to fault this hotel and will go on our list of favourites and our first choice if we return to Jersey again.

Loved the view from our room [and the lounge/dining/garden] - couldn't have been better. Very comfortable bed and spacious room. Cleanliness - perfect Good supply of tea/coffee etc Staff all very pleasant and helpful, and always smiling Lovely decor throughout the hotel

Nice to have a separate toilet, but ... Bathroom: shower: tricky to adjust the water temperature if you had wet hands - pretty stiff. Our request to have help with this was not forthcoming. Presumably a communication 'thing'. On a completely personal note, I would like to have the option of a hand-held shower head - an overhead shower only is quite limiting.

We stayed at the Somerville November 2024. We loved it so much that we booked to have our wedding there May 2024. Steve and his team have gone above and beyond throughout the preparations and the actual day. Our garden room was spacious and luxurious. The food was amazing and our guests are still talking about how good the wedding breakfast was! Breakfast came with plenty of choice and we will give Maureen a special mention who made sure we had exactly what we wanted every morning and bringing us plenty of tea, coffee and toast. The views of St Aubin bay from the hotel really are breath taking. We can’t recommend this hotel enough! We will be back in 2025 for our 1st wedding anniversary.

There is a steep hill on the way up to the hotel, no problem for us but my daughter struggled a little with her hip as she has it pinned, however a taxi back to the hotel from St aubins bay was only £5.

Beautiful decor created a relaxed and comfortable ambiance. The staff were exceptional and the food excellent.

The water pressure in the shower was inconsistent and often very low.

staff were very welcoming and helpful. Bedrooms very very clean and always topped up with coffee and biscuits etc plus a bottle of water every day.Maybe a few squeaky floorboards but it is an old building I believe. Great feel to the hotel around and the decor in the lounge and food areas was excellent. Excellent location for the stunning views over the bay and on a great bus route for the airpot and to get into the St Helier which has the main bus station

the breakfast choice for gluten free was very limited. no cereal, no sausages .Also from all of our party we found not enough fresh fruit - never saw a banana , apple or orange that you could just pick up and eat. menu was the same all week with enough option to try one a day but not that exciting. No exciting cheese or ham choice for the continental side -again he same thing every day.

Very pleasant and frindely staff

There was an error on my first booking due to a clerical error (email incorrect) at the hotel causing our first booking to not confirm although we had paid the money. I then rebooked and paid more for the rooms. One of my guests Mr Snell is infirm and easily stressed and because of the threat of a double payment charge, Decided not to travel. We have been refunded the earlier error and thank you but not yet the cancellation of his room leaving me to cover the cost. I will use booking.com again and appreciate it not your problem but think it would be useful for you to tighten confirmation responses from hotels. Best wishes roger patey

A beautiful hotel in a picturesque setting. Friendly and professional staff and immaculate throughout. Allowed me to check in at 9 am. Unbelievable and never happened before.

I was in room 102 and even though was a beautiful room the big problem is your underneath the kitchens with extractor fans blowing out throughout the night and extremely noisy. I've booked again in March but will definitely avoid this room. You couldn't sleep with your window open for the noise and even had workmen smoking outside in the morning blowing straight into the bedroom.

This hotel is beautiful, we got a free upgrade to a superior room which was just as beautiful as the double room we had but a lot bigger. The hotel is stunning and the staff are friendly and have impeccable manners and hospitality. The views are fab, so of you can get a Seaview room it's well worth it. The hotel itself is decorated in art deco / nouveau to the finest detail it's gorgeous 😍 we love the way that they have kept the original details of the hotel and brought them back to life. The beds are comfy, it's a quiet location with easy access to the town. The foods is delish too. I am a local, but live in the UK and cannot recommend this hotel enough, book now! I'll definitely be coming again!

Nothing , we had a very enjoyable stay

Superb dinner

Terrible breakfast service, waited an hour for it to eventually turn up cold and very undercooked fried egg practically raw. Toast cold too as was the staff on duty. Packed everything away despite other guests awaiting breakfasts still. Reported on checkout how poor things were but still charged full price for the breakfast I left most of. Suggest others be aware of these matters that somewhat spoiled and otherwise excellent stay.
