The hotel located right near the Cathedral within 5 min walk ,the facility beautifully decorated with the unique historical charm ,the room was very clean with hotel monogram on the bedding .The hotel run by the family. We had a pleasure meeting the daughter Lucia who greeted us and gives us all helpful information and the Lucia’s father Júlio who served the breakfast for us .We were going for multiple tours and activities in town and around the Cathedral and it was super convenient. We also had the rental car and the parking garage was just across the street .Even though the hotel doesn’t have the parking ,you get a discount for this parking if you stay in the hotel .We stayed two nights in April 2025 .The only thing is,even though we love the option for the breakfast in the hotel ,we found that outside you have a better value ,like you get free tapas for breakfast with coffee .I would recommend this restaurant to my friends.

This is a very nice little hotel close to the centre of the city, a short stroll away from the cathedral and well placed for and all the main tourist attractions. We stayed there twice, once at the start and again at the end of walking the Camino Frances. Breakfast is more generous than is the norm in Spain, including boiled eggs, meats, cheese, toast, croissant, orange juice and coffee or tea. The staff are very gentle, welcoming and pleasant. The rooms are small but good, both had excellent showers. We would definitely stay here again.
There was only one small negative, which we forgot to mention before we left: our second room, on the top floor, got very hot and we couldn’t find a remote control for the air-conditioner.

Entrecercas is a small, local hotel which punches above its weight. The rooms are cosy but offer everything you need, including a small kettle for making hot drinks. The ensuite shower room was excellent. Freshly made breaksfast was served in a large room and was ample and varied. The staff were all very helpful and friendly and offered useful advice when needed. The location is perfect, being in a small side street without traffic, and situated at the area which links the old city with the new. The cathedral, park, and many shops and eating places are on the doorstep. I would not hesitate to recommnd this hotel.
Personally I prefer being in a small, authentic Spanish hotel like this one. However it must be remembered that there is no lift, and just a small reception area with 2 easy chairs. The breakfast area is closed from about 4pm.

Great location on the edge of the old town. Around the corner and you are immersed on the old town streets bars and restaurants. Minutes from the cathedral. Property is small but perfectly formed. Simple (smallish) rooms, beds a bit hard but we slept absolutely fine, showers a bit dated but spotless and in keeping with the style. It’s graded as two star but we felt it merited far more. Breakfast is lovely, lots of items from toast, croissants, egg, ham, cheese, tomato pulp, all served to your table. You couldn’t ask for more. Very friendly staff but no English so make sure you have some Spanish practice which was fine for us as we have workable Spanish skills. Highly recommend for value
View from window was internal courtyard which was actually scruffy rooftops but I didn’t loose any sleep over it because we were far to busy enjoying Santiago

A really nice city centre hotel, quite a old property hence no lift. Room was spatious, clean with a decent bathroom. We were provided with an excellent breakfast with real coffee, not the coffee machines that seem to populate many of these sort of hotels. Our host, whose name I do not know, was friendly and helpful and dressed like a Dentist to serve breakfast !! We would willingly return to this hotel if visiting Santiago again.
We encountered nothing to our dissatisfaction, I mentioned the lift but we were aware of this from the description so packed accordingly.

From the moment I walked in the door Julio was welcoming, professional, friendly, and attentive. As an owner/operator, he personally provides the small and extra touches that make a boutique hotel stay memorable. The room was impeccable and guests control the temperature ensuring comfort. The water pressure and temperature for the shower was amazing- especially for a tired pilgrim! The beds and pillows are perfectly fresh and comfortable and the bath towels are extra large and fluffy! Even though I usually look outside of a hotel for a cheaper, better breakfast, I took it at Hotel Entrecercas both mornings I was there. At 7€ it is half the price and twice as good as many hotels. It was generous, delicious and delightfully served. The hotel is located in a lively pocket of shops and restaurants and is quite close to the cathedral and essential services. It is also a 2 minute walk to beautiful Almeda Park - which I would have missed had it not been for Julio's recommendation. An exceptional stay at a very reasonable price.
I liked everything! I'm not sure if there are rooms on the ground floor, but it may be important for those who can't do stairs.

The location of this hotel was in the heart of the old town which made it easy to walk to the steps of the church yet was in the foot zone so extremely quiet. The desk recommended a restaurant within a few feet. It specializes in shell fish in a large platter including many shrimp, mussels clams and a half lobster for a very inexpensive price!
No parking in the area made it difficult to find but there is a garage not far away.

This hotel is clearly loved and cared for by the owners. The breakfast was excellent, the room was clean, the welcome was easy and kind. It's just a genuinely excellent place.
There is nothing they can do about it, but the hotel faces a nice courtyard and the restaurants there stay open late (like maybe 2 am?). So if outside noise really bothers you, you may want to ask for a room that doesn't face the street. It didn't bother us, but it was loud.

The location of the hotel is exceptional, really central but at the same time kind of quiet. The room was a bit small, but very cozy. The facilities were really clean. The building is historical, so it inherently has its charm. The staff was friendly and polite. Loved my stay at Entrecercas.
My windows were facing the back of the street, where restaurants have theirs terraces, so during the day it smelled a bit of fried stuff outside. But during the nights and mornings there was no small, so I was able to air my room.

Beautifully furnished room. Very clean. Very attractive hotel lobby. Quaint. Delightful stone walls. We were able to make it very dark at night. The staff was very warm and friendly and kept out luggage for four days while we walked the Camino Finisterre. Great location.
The room was quite small, without even really having much space to sit other than on the bed, and there was no way for one person to be up while the other was sleeping. This was fine for us for one night.
