All the staff were very friendly, Ashley and Jade went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Check-in was quick and the room was well appointed and immaculately clean, with the room being cleaned and beds made wonderfully every day. Breakfast was great, quickly served and with plenty of choice. The location was good with a short 20 minute walk into Bowness helpfully suggested by Ashley. The grounds were beautiful and the view from the breakfast room and our hotel room were incredible. Would stay here again.

Nothing.

Loved the quiet location, it is immaculately clean. The decor is beautiful, as are the gardens. The lounge areas are cosy and comfortable, nothing is too much trouble. We loved it and would 100% stay here again. It was so calm and peaceful and it felt like a home from home.

Literally my only quibble would be that as we were in the downstairs room you can hear noise from the entrance way. It didn’t bother us at night as the bar area and music stops at 10:30 which I think is an acceptable time, but you can hear people coming to look at the lounge area which is right next to the room, so you can hear people by your door. I was hoping for a lie-in in the morning but at 7:30am you can hear them setting up for opening. I thought a doorway before the room door might be a good idea, to create a vestibule.

Beautiful manor house with lovely garden setting. The included breakfast offered many choices and everything was very well prepared. Dinner was not included in the room price but was available by reservation and was excellent. There were two large living rooms with comfortable seating. On a rainy, cool day there was a fire in the large hearth. Staff was very accommodating and pleasant.

My room was quite warm. The windows were open but with no screens there were some midges (black flies.) The shower tray is dangerously slippery and needs a mat or decals to prevent falls.

The check in was very smooth and staff were very helpful and friendly. I appreciate that they told us up front that they are a bit under-staffed and asked us to use the bell to call for attention. It made it easier to ask for assistance. The lounges below were very nice and comfortable too. The rooms were very nice too and bathroom was clean and spacious so we could put our things on the countertops. I also liked the welcome cookies and teas. Breakfast was also very nice with a beautiful view from the window. Would definitely like to come back!

Poor wifi.... but this is all across the country.

Lindeth Fell is a magnificent property on the hills overlooking lake Windermere. The old country style exudes cosiness from the moment of arrival and the discovery of the rooms, the lounge and the library with their enjoyable little details makes the experience even better. What makes Lindeth Fell truly memorable however is the thoroughy professional and friendly staff. Anything you want is but a question away and quite often the staff anticipate the question before you think of it. We particularly enjoyed the company of Ben, all-round good chap, always ready with advice or a quick "nudge-nudge, wink-wink" to add to the experience. In addition to having breakfast, we also stayed for dinner, which was of a quality truly exceeding expectation: perfectly proportioned, perfectly cooked with a nice selection of affordable wines to go with them. All in all, a most excellent experience!

no remarks - everything was perfect.

Beautiful location, property well-maintained, outstanding staff & service - nothing was too much trouble, words I rarely use to describe a hospitality experience, but true here every day. We all enjoyed our visits - myself, and the family & friends who joined me at this Storrs base. This is truly a hidden gem, and a rare find.

Conveniently located with where I was going. What stood out was the friendliness of the staff and how the communication has been great from the moment I made an enquiry and was well-reflected throughout my stay. Well-equipped facilities, room was clean and bed was comfortable and overall temp control was good and food and drinks were great too, especially enjoyed the range of teas and coffees served in the room. Thoroughly enjoyed my NYE meal I booked with them! Good recommendations for things to do locally and everyone was more than happy to help with any queries. Overall a very pleasant place to stay and will definitely come again when I visit the Lakes next.

Nothing.

Lindeth Fell Country House is just lovely and so are the staff. Harry from the get go was very helpful, chatty and accommodating to our needs. We had dinner there also and is was exceptional. The breakfast was also delicious. Located not far from Bowness, there is a nice walk down to the marina.

Nothing to complain about, maybe the shower could be updated.

I had no car but I had a glorious morning walk down to boats and buses and took a taxi back at 5 I was happy to stay in as dinner and service was excellent Sliwing down and watching go the lake to appear and disappear had a meditative effect

My room was too hot The ceiling lights flickered on low I chose not to report this as I was so at home in the public rooms

House was Beautiful, Room had the most breathtaking view and the bed was super comfy, Grounds were stunning but what made the stay a 10/10 was the staff and the service . I wrote in the visitors book that I am now a fan, and this is meant in the most complimentary way, of such old fashioned English charm and traditions. Having a china teapot in my room alongside an expresso machine, loose leaf tea for breakfast and the service of 5* old school charm. I will be back and hopefully this will be a yearly pilgrimage to rest & relaxation in the most English of English hotels. Thank You

Absolutely nothing - even the rainy overcast weather couldn't' dampen my enthusiasm!
