Chycara was simply beautiful, the staff were so friendly & informative. The huts were very well appointed. The grounds were stunning, the facilities were excellent. We booked 2 huts, one for a couple & one for an elderly gentleman. The beds were beautifully clean & fresh if very soft! One pillow was left for each person, unfortunately it was not advertised that extra pillows were available under the beds! The TV didn't work in one of the huts but that wasn't a problem to us as it was so lovely to be sitting outside. We hope to return in the not too distant future for 2 or 3 nights. Unless you have one of the larger lodges it's possibly not suitable for a week or two's holiday but perfect for 2 or 3 nights. The situation is very secluded yet very accessible & central to mid Cornwall, perfect for Truro & Falmouth.

Mattresses were a bit soft but that's just a preference.

This is a very beautiful and picturesque holiday park. Lovely and quiet and calm I had an amazing time here in the spring photographing the bluebells, other spring flowers, tropical looking plants and the stream. The cabin is stunning and very beautiful. Loved it here

The only problem that we had was that we don't drive so couldn't get out and about or to the shops and restaurants, but that was ok as we did manage to get Uber eats to come out to us. Even though there are no facilities for the kids mine enjoyed being immersed in nature and eating outside next to the babbling stream.

Very peaceful and scenic location,. The cabin is petite but more than adequate for a relaxing short stay. The bathroom however might be a little too compact for those with a larger frame, fortunately we're on the shorter side.

The shower didn't drain very well at all. When having a shower we had to be very careful to ensure that the shower tray didn't overflow into the room. A few extra bits of cutlery would be useful. Just two of everything seems a little modest and makes eating a little like picnicking while camping.

The lodge is a great size . It’s comfortable and cosy. It has a lovely balcony with a table and chairs overlooking the lake. The property has a utility room and lots of facilities. The main double shower is very powerful.

I didn’t like all the stains on the carpets, furniture, walls & throws. Many of the marks were dog prints. The furniture all needs tightening & new padding on the dining room chairs . One drawer in the single room needs attaching. The lodge all needs a bit of DIY . The kitchen kick boards are all wonky. Main bedroom door needs an extra screw as it’s loose.

We stayed in willow lodge for 3 nights and the lodge is modern, clean and has everything you need. The surrounding woodland is stunning and tranquil. The babbling brook was lovely and peaceful. Chycara is a serene haven in the heart of cornwall! Its is 20 mins drive from perranporth and 35 mins from St Ives. Theres an aldi,asda and sainsburys 15 mins away. The location is perfect and we will be back next year!

Theres nothing we didnt like

Everything was perfect. Contactless check in, hut clean and warm, feels very safe and secluded (even though you have neighbours you can't really see them). We stayed in the beech hut for 5 days and it was really spacious and comfortable.

You need to bring your own shampoo conditioner bodywash - I always bring my own anyway but it would be a nice touch for people who may have forgotten their own

Stunning grounds, attention to detail in accommodation, tv in bath was a big hit! Lots of wardrobe space. Every home from home comfort thought about. My son loved the rocking chair. Nothing was too much trouble, I had some flowers delivered for my daughter's graduation, they made sure they were in chalet, in a vase ready for when she returned from graduation, even sent me a photo so I could see what they were like.

Prices for swimming pool was a bit steep for 4 of us. Would be ideal for a bigger group though. Although we did have an amazing time having to ourselves.

Chycara was such a delightful place to stay. So tranquil. There was great communication from the hosts and we felt relaxed as soon as we arrived.

Only thing for me on a personal level was the fact that it said accessible. Maybe I misread for the accommodation I booked as it wasn't. If I hadn't misread, not having grab rails is an issue. Honestly, though, apart from that ,we truly can't fault our stay. A wonderful find and we will be back 😃

The grounds of Chycara is phenomenal and gave all of the feelings of staying in the woods, near a river. The sounds, site and location were all fantastic and it truly was picturesque and a mindfulness enhancing retreat. The owners were very friendly and the cabin we were staying in was excellent, with highly comfortable beds and all the facilities you would need, which were good in quality. The location of the site is also fantastic as it is 30 minutes drive from most of the highly interesting locations around Cornwall.

Lovely area and beautiful quiet site, set in a lovely wooded surrounding. Lovely clean and modern accommodation. Ideally situated within easy reach of many visitors locations. Bookable swimming pool on site was a lovely additional extra.

A small observation to get to the lodges just past the swimming pool there is a bit of a blind corner, which can be difficult if a vehicle is coming out as you are going in maybe put up a small mirror or smaller hedges. Other than that lovely.
