Stayed during the end of June, towards the start of the rainy season, it only rained for half the day (mostly afternoons). The Hotsprings were great, they split them among several pools and there's an infinity pool with a great view of the volcano. The room was nice, had new furniture abd was very clean. The staff was great, very friendly. The breakfast was great, fresh fruit, choice of Continental breakfast and traditional CR breakfast, also there was a cook preparing omelettes. The restaurant and drink prices are comparable to other resorts and high end restaurants in the area. I would recommend trying the local restaurants (sodas) and The Quiero Italian restaurant for wood fire pizza and drinks (moderately priced).

We were upgraded to a junior suite which was very nice. We had booked a deluxe double. These are ground level and looked as though they'd be quite dark. The rooms were good quality from what we saw. Breakfast was fantastic with a large selection. The restaurant staff was terrific, the offerings for lunch and dinner were pretty standard. There are better and more interesting dining options in town. The pools are great and why people come here.

The gym was pretty hard to use as there was an air conditioner which was on, but the windows were all open making the room really too hot for a workout of any length. All the rooms face the pools, so the noise is inevitable as lots of kids are there as are younger adults enjoying the poolside cocktails. There is a pool for guests only on the upper level, it's quiet, but not a very hot pool, so would be best on a warm day for cooling off.

Girgeous grounds with fantastic hot pools, really private, immersed in tropical vegetation and so relaxing. Excellent and varied breakfasts all 3 mornings! Well appointed rooms, quite modern and chic. We loved this place. A pleasure walking along tge rainforest jungly paths to our room. And the upstsirs bar with view of Arenal very special. We did not use spa but I bet it is wonderful!

Would have been a little better for us had it been closer to La Fortuna but all the Hot Springs resorts were on this same strip, and it is only a 6 or 7 minute Uber ride ( only around $6) to town so not really a big deal. A great choice overall!

The staff and environment make it a true paradise. My husband, young daughter and I made the most of the amenities which include 8 hot spring pools, a restaurant, cafe overlooking the Arenal volcano and the spa treatment. But the true gem is our experience with employees. I’d like to give a special thanks to Samir for guiding us in our bookings. Thanks to his knowledge and kindness we were able to make the best of our stay exploring the volcano forest, Mistico park, Don Juan Coffee and Chocolate farm, Fortuna Waterfall and the rafting adventure with Arenal rafting. He booked top transportation to and from each excursion to fit our needs and maintained us informed each step of the way. Paradise Hot Springs Resort exceeded our expectations. Pura Vida!

The hotel is lovely, very lush with planting, and well cared for grounds. We were amazed to see the pools emptied and cleaned daily. The hot spring pools are the star attraction (as they should be), and my 10 year old spent every moment he could in them. They didn't get too busy whilst we were there. The room was basic but clean and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable and we all slept well. The housekeeping staff work very hard. We particularly liked the volcano viewpoint cafe and swimming pool. The snacks and drinks were very good up there. The breakfast buffet was simple but nice. Get your waffle or omlette order in 1st...as there is one lovely man making them and it can take a little while. The dinner menu wasn't to my taste but we managed to find things to eat. All in all, a hotel with amazing pools and grounds. My sons pick for the trip and it was exactly what he wanted 😁

This place had a magical atmosphere! We spent the second half of our honeymoon here and had a wonderfully relaxing time. Most of the pools were incredible and provided a peaceful experience, though the lazy river had an unpleasant smell, and we regretted getting in. The servers and bartenders, didn’t seem very friendly and often appeared annoyed with guests. However, the reception staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. The food was overpriced and low in quality, and while the free breakfast buffet was quite bland, it was still a nice convenience. The location was great, and the rooms were immaculate and very comfortable.

The staff was great but we had to ask for coffee replenishment (they cleaned room but forgot to do this) The food for breakfast and dinner was subpar for the price. We also ordered chicken wraps that didn’t come with anything it was supposed to but the chicken but we didn’t notice until getting to room and by then too late to request or get another one We kept asking staff about the surrounding areas, recommendations etc., none of whom we asked knew anything and were not from the area.

We splurged and got a room with the volcano view and in-room jacuzzi. It more than met our expectations. There were 3 rooms - the bedroom, bathroom and jacuzzi room. The bedroom had two recliners and the balcony had rocking chairs. There also was a walk-through closet. Very private and quiet. Everything was super clean and in very good shape. Breakfast was good. The thermal pools were very nice. We went at night. Parking can be tight if you drive, but we didn't have any issues. Staff were super nice and helpful. We didn't want to leave!

This was a beautiful, clean, relaxing oasis! They were very good about having us arrive early on check in day to enjoy the pools until our room was ready. The entire pools area felt like a wonderful, lush tropical paradise. I wondered if the stone loungers would be comfortable... they are! The array of different temperatures, depths and configurations was nice too. The maintenance was amazing..the grounds were well kept, the pools, common areas and change rooms were clean. The room was well appointed and clean. Water pressure was lovely! We liked how the property backed onto farmland and the view (not from the pools but at the back...make sure to check out the cocktail lounge) swooped up to the volcano. Breakfast was ample and very good. Dinner was a bit pricey but nice.

There wasn't really anywhere walkable to go outside of the property. This wasn't a problem for us as we were only there one night and didn't want anything else, but, if you stayed longer and didn't have a car you may feel isolated and / or it would be pricey/time consuming for shuttles/taxis. The pools are the one and only attraction, again, not a bad thing but something to be aware of if you are looking for other things to do.

The staff are very friendly and helpful, the location is perfect to go La Fortuna center and the hot spring is relaxing.

I paid a spa package while in stay and it’s 3-4 times more the price than fortune center, I was expecting better service but that night no one of the hotel warned us about the noisy ktv event in the restaurant which was just in front of the spa center, the experience was horrible as I could not rest and relax at all, it was unbearable noise and I felt more anxious after. It’s better to pay less and go the center for that, the massage is better and the environment is better too, chill.
