Loved my stay at the Dots Hostel! Great for a solo traveller that wants a more adult-like, calm hostel with the opportunity to hangout with fellow travellers in the lobby in the evenings. I took a private room/bathroom for 5 nights that was very clean and comfortable. Also appreciated the thoughtful touches in the room like chocolates, dental kit, bodywash etc. Josephine was lovely and gave me lots of recommendations for Zagreb. She was also incredibly accommodating when I wanted to leave my luggage behind in the reception area post check-out as I had a later flight. Definitely recommend!

Dots is run by a brother and sister who make sure one of them is there from 9am to 9pm and are always very helpful. The hostel is on the second floor but there is a lift and once inside everything is spotless. There is always fresh fruit available along with tea and coffee and the common areas are very cozy and welcoming. It’s only a 15min walk into the centre of Zagreb and plenty of cafes and restaurants close by. Definitely a thumbs up from me.

Super friendly. Located a short walk from the centre of town, the bus station and the train station. At first glance it felt more like a small hotel. My initial assumption was the social area wasn't used - it was so tidy. It was well used however, giving the place that more homely hostel feeling, while keeping the comfort of a hotel. The kitchen was really only for warming food, and has a rather small fridge, which might help keep it clean, but it also has fresh fruit, tea, coffee, cereals. The room itself was comfortable, and big enough.

We were there while the weather was hot, so we did have to make sure the sun stays out of the room during the day as the AC is just in the corridor, and social area. There was a good fan in the room.

Very friendly staff and a quiet stay. I had a private room with shared bathroom: everything was clean and they even provided some toiletries in the room which I didn't expect. They offer free juices/snacks in the kitchen which is a nice touch. Location is good, a 5 min walk from main square.

If you are traveling in summer, just beware there is no A/C in the room, only in the common area. So my room did get quite hot as temperatures were high, although not the hostel's fault and they did provide a fan. Bed could have been a bit more comfortable. Otherwise I would recommend staying there if you need a simple place to stay for a good price :)

The place had a lovely relaxed feeling to it. The lady who welcomed me was warm and friendly and spoke excellent English. Although I was sharing a bathroom there were plenty to go around and I never had to wait. The extra touches, eg fruit , sweeties were very welcome. There was plenty of storage and my room felt very homely. Coming and going was very flexible. My room was flooded with natural light but the blinds were really efficient and I slept really well.

It was a little bit noisy in the evenings but this was due to the mix of people staying and not the quality of the accommodation. I am a mature traveller so maybe this is not an issue if you are younger or a night owl.

The location of the property is very close to the city centre, the area seems very safe. Rooms were clean, tidy and comfortable. Entering in the room I had clean towels, and toiletries. There was a kitchen, even though I haven’t used much, it’s possible heat some food. They give some tea, coffee, water and juice available any time. The staff were super helpful and kind and are also available on WhatsApp.

A handsome local man working there helped me and was very patient and friendly. I had no adapter for my charger. The woman working there gave me one that another guest has left. She was such an angel. I had extreme anxiety but her thoughtfulness saved me. The location is perfect. The price was very reasonable particularly because of where it was located. They even offer espresso for one euro. I believe that the staff genuinely like tourists. This is not always the case in split and Dubrovnik. I hope to return to Zagreb someday and I will stay at the same hostel. It was always quiet and peaceful. There were no drunks or inconsiderate people. It was definitely the best hostel in Croatia.

There were some insects that bit me when I was trying to sleep.

We had only a very short stay in Zagreb and the location of The Dots was perfect for everything we wanted to do. The staff were exceptionally friendly. The weather was unusually warm while we were there and despite there not being air-conditioning the staff made sure we were as comfortable as possible without us needing to ask.

We were a little unsure when we approached the building, it didn't look like much from the outside. We were pleasantly surprised with how clean and comfortable it was.

I like the ambience of the hostel it's cool and beautiful. Reception staff is kind and very helpful. Juice, tea, coffee, fruits, and some food for breakfast are provided. It has an elevator which is of great help to carry luggage. Rooms are spacious for a hostel.

There is no cooking stove in the kitchen which is a big help in preparing food.

Very helpful and polite staff, great location, real value for money. Spacious common space equipped with tables that you can work on, and also you have complimentary drinks and fruit. Overall great experience.

Maybe adding some hangers on the doors in the rooms.
