This tiny two star hotel's location by the sea front is superb. We had the upstairs 'suite' with a sea view and a huge roof terrace. Unfortunately the weather was so windy, rainy and cold during our stay, that we could not enjoy the terrace. The room was quite basic with a spacious bathroom. Service at the reception was excellent. Would love to stay here during summer time.

Due to weather conditions, the bathroom was drafty and cold making showering quite an arctic experience. On the other hand, we were provided with an extra radiator in the sleeping room, which was a nice touch.

Nice view if you take a room facing the ocean. Friendly and helpful receptionist. Everything was clean and room service did their job perfectly. For once on the island, we never had trouble finding parking in the streets.

Small details like shower handle holder fixed to the wall too high. Shower itself is very small. You can shower and there is hot water, but we got used to nice bigger showers. Breakfast is sub par. Do not order sausage unless you want to experiment something strange. Scrambled eggs were good though. Next time, I would skip the breakfast package (although cheap) and eat at the local cafe 150 m from there.

The place is ideally located in the village. Close to everything. The room was a good size, as was the bathroom, and it has a decent balcony with a nice view of the picturesque street and mountain. The receptionists and staff in general there are very nice and helpful. Although the breakfast needs much more variety, there's a substantial amount of food and drinks given, that will fill you up for half the day. I would be more than happy to stay again.

As others have said, more variety in the breakfast is definitely needed, but they are generous with the amount they give. Other than that, just the usual issue of sound travelling amongst the rooms and halls, but that's more of a guest thing and not really the hotel's fault.

Good old Costa Linda was waiting to welcome us for the third time. Perfect location and view from the room. Good breakfast and friendly and helpful staff. All this was well known and as usual to a good standard.

Some room maintenance needs to be done more regularly. The towel rail on the balcony was broken, some of the bathroom fixtures were missing, and the bed made a sound like an old windmill, sometimes even from breathing. As an unpleasant surprise, we learned that the hotel management has decided to close the hotel restaurant for lunch/dinner on Fridays and Saturdays. However, some other restaurants along the coast are just as good, as we were "forced" to learn.

Location was very nice and there was a nice boardwalk and very close to a historical rum museum factory. The hotel was a 2 star hotel but they provided quite a lot for example shower gel, hair dryer and room service everyday. The breakfast was nice, it was not a typical buffet but a la carte. wifi was also awesome. Parking was also provided, there was always space. There were restaurants close by and very good ones.

The room had an old smell and was poorly soundproofed.

Fantastic location and the ocean view rooms are exceptional. The ocean is even visible from the bathroom, and the terrace was quite spacious. The waves were audible at all times of the day - just perfect! Staff are very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was generous, with coffee made the way you want. The bathrooms were also renovated and spacious, and rooms were cleaned daily. We'd gladly come back!

We found the beds quite firm and springy. I guess we're just used to a thicker, softer mattress and thicker blanket. Parking isn't guaranteed out the front of the hotel, so you might have to park a short walk away. We never had an issue though, and all car parks are free in Porto da Cruz.

The accommodation is located in a very nice small town, in a beautiful environment, next to huge mountains. The staff is very friendly. From the room you can clearly hear the roar of the sea and the sound of the waves. The breakfast is plentiful (you can order several things from the list). The hotel also has a restaurant where you can eat right next to the sea (beautiful !) You can park around the house. Directly opposite the hotel there is a real local "snack bar" with a nice owner and another restaurant about 100 meters away.

Our room (306) was very small, despite the description, it didn't even have a table. The breakfast was delicious, you can choose several things from the menu (you don't have to pay separately), but since there are only a few people in the kitchen, it was prepared very slowly. It took about half an hour to get our order. It's very interesting that we didn't get vegetables for breakfast, but when we had dinner, we had everything and the kitchen was fast.

I need to say that we had the luck to have the nicest receptionist. On the day of our arrival, there were extreme weather conditions and the lady from the reception called us to make sure that we are ok as she knew we should hike on that day. That was a really sweet gesture. And she didn't hesitate to help us later during our trip when we wanted to accommodate in the hotel once again but as it was fully booked, she gave us a lift to a near-by city where we found some available accommodation for the night. Total angel that saved us on that day. I don't really need any fancy room to sleep but what always warms up my heart is the people and their kindness :). And that's exactly what I've found in Costa Linda! Many thanks once again.

The hotel is located by the ocean, we could literally hear the sound of ocean waves from our room! We had an amazing stay - perfect for those who want to spend their hiking trips or holidays in less crowded locations! The close proximity of beautiful green scenery as well as the ocean made it possible for us to visit breathtaking parts of the island (even though we did not rent a car)! It was idyllic for us as nature enthusiasts! The local food was also delicious, embracing the uniqueness of the region as well as the island! We are definitely coming back in the future!<3

Fantastic location near the sea in Porto Da Cruz. There are several restaurants within 1 minutes walk & a supermarket, farmacy, ATM & bus stop. The room had everything we needed, the bed was very comfortable, the shower was powerful & hot, loads of space, and a outside seating area too. The breakfast is table service, tea/coffee, eggs, bacon, bread, yogurt, fruit- good & quick. Also noteworthy is the receptionist (sorry, we don’t know her name) but a font of knowledge & delightful.

it’s a bit dated, a tad mouldy but it’s a really good hotel for a budget price…..oh yeah, there are church bells, they seem to start at 6.30am
