My stay was absolutely fantastic. I absolutely loved the hotel for my Oasis trip. My only negative comment is it was twice the price than normal due to oasis playing which I dont agree with. That being said it was still considerably cheaper than others with their price hikes. Its the way it is but I dont like it. That aside, beautiful hotel, excellent location, clean, slick and would come back

The location is top tier! U can walk almost everywhere in the city centre. The staff is super nice and courteous. We've stayed here several times and our last stay was great. We got in late and accidentally didn't book correctly and a room wasn't available the next day. I forget the gentleman's name but he found us a suite that night at 1 am and we were able to get some rest in a nice clean room. Every time we stay it's a great stay no complaints. Oh and the hotel has a pretty decent bar. Highly recommend. 🔥

Unable to sit out front and have drinks or smoke.

The hotel was lovely, the reception and dinning area was spotless. The breakfast was great no complaints staff friendly and helpful.

The room wasn’t the cleanest for a 4 star hotel, our room was very dusty and there was something splashed all over the ceiling! The bathroom shower needed a good clean the door and fixtures were very dirty. Out room was 1st floor and outside our window was a nightclub bar so all night it was bright lights and noise. The reception staff on arriving very friendly asking questions, on checking out just handed key and didn’t want to make the time to ask if any problems or how our stay was. Raised about the noise she said sorry and nothing more. Wasn’t very friendly at all.

Good location; clean; comfy bed and great wet room. Bar well stocked and the guy on duty on the evening of the 23rd was really welcoming. Also the chef who did breakfast on the morning of the 24th is the jewel in your crown - best poached egg ever - served with humour and flare. If you have a staff award I’d be nominating him. Mind you, all the staff were remarkably friendly and helpful - and believe me, as someone who travels regularly with work all around the country, that isn't always the case. I'll be back with you if I'm in the region again.

Not much - aside form - it would have worked better with my logistics if breakfast had started at 6:30 - although the staff did sort me an early coffee 😎

I’m not normally one for reviews, but when you visit a hotel that has provided what this delightful place has, it is needed! We stayed for 6 nights through the new year, the check in was as quick and welcoming as I’d hoped. Me and my partner ordered ourselves 2 Stella after a long travel on a coach, let’s say it hit the spot! After maybe the third.. fourth.. fifth? I lost count… they had memorised our faces and what we drank (not sure whether to be happy or embarrassed of the fact), through the stay they were pretty much pulled for us on arrival to the bar! Beyond Excellent service from all bar staff. The room was refreshed daily and two cans of water (I know right, cans!) replenished daily. Bed made, the usual brilliant standard you expected. The actual lounge/bar area was brilliant. With us being huge darts fans we saw every dart before it was even thrown on the huge projector! We didn’t really leave the hotel much, other than later on at night for a few more beers! The food was next level, The chef, who was recently new we were told from one of the lovely managers, exceeded our expectations! The fish and chips and chicken blt were amazing! Highly recommended to try out. Overall the layout of the hotel, the rooms and staff were all you’d want in a break away, close to anything you desire to do. Shopping, canal street, so many food options and PLENTY of awesome bars. Overall I 100% recommend the voco and will be back in June!! :)

Everything was brilliant.

Great location, all Staff are very friendly and approachable. Brilliant for wheelchair access, hotel rooms are fantastic and more than adequate space for wheelchair users to move around freely in the rooms and in the bar/restaurant area. Spacious bathroom, big enough for a large range of chairs, hoist and separate shower chair was offered at check in. is exceptionally comfy. Breakfast is great, amazing Gluten Free area (separate GF toaster) GF options well labelled. Vegan options ok, more than big enough range of plant milk.

Small step/incline into the lifts, not great for manual wheelchair users - floor plate to lift edge was loose too which made it harder to ride over. Bar and room service closed/stopped way earlier than I was expecting. No gluten free bread available on a Saturday morning which wasn’t great. Wheelchair does get wet as there is no shower screen/curtain that would protect your chair - maybe ask for an extra towel, if you need your chair close for transfers. Shower is slow to drain to floor can feel slippy when transferring, so use a bath mat or hand towel to stand on.

Excellent facilities, modern decor, friendly staff and good location.

There was some confusion surrounding car parking despite me ringing before visiting to confirm that I would receive 25% discount at their recommended car park. Unfortunately when I arrived I was informed that this was not the case and that I should have been informed that I needed to book the car parking place in advance to qualify for the discount. The staff were friendly and helpful at reception but feel that I should have been told the correct information when I rang earlier that morning and as a result I had to pay the full price for car parking which at £35 for a single night I thought was expensive.

The staff were brilliant. On the first night, we checked in at 1am due to a late night flight and therefore got the room next to the lift as the hotel was fully booked. After a tough nights sleep, the staff were amazing at getting us a new room and really sorted everything for us! The rooms themselves are really a great size, comfortable bed and great products, with iron and coffee machine in the room.

Due to our late flight, we were put in the room next to the lift. Rooms should be assigned based on when they booked, rather than check in time.

The location of the hotel was perfect for central Manchester, staff helpful and kind.

The breakfast "managers" were not very helpful at all, in fact whist younger staff were running around like headless chickens the managers did very little. When I approached a manager to ask for some Decaf tea, he said they didn't have any and there was no option for decaf coffee either. However the following day a member of staff (not a manager) quickly found a great big box of decaf tea in a cupboard - why are they not out for folk to use. As a person allergic to caffeine, I had less choice then anyone else.

On arrival day the hotel had no running water because of some broken pipeline, however the staff was really nice and polite about explaining that to us and offered us some options but we decided that we only wanted to stay at this hotel (not move to another property) so we just took a walk downtown and the water was on again in the afternoon. First room we got had a broken heating system so again we spoke to the staff if they could take a look at that and in the end we were moved to another room and everything was good after that. Excellent service. Good breakfast and nice and comfortable lounge area.
