- The location was great, only a few minutes walk from the old city. - great breakfast and tasty home made yoghurt - lovely staff, very friendly and helpful - the room is nicely decorated and clean

- facilities are quite old, and the floor was noisy - there's a large public parking opposite to the hotel, however, the car park is only free from 7pm to 7 am, so we had to get up at 7 to pay for the parking (3 Franc per hour) - no lift, but luckily we travelled light. The stairs are small, it would be difficult to carry a big luggage up

Very good position so close to the barenpark. The receptionist and all staff was so lovely. They also gave us free public transport cards. The cheese at breackfast like in my deepest dreams. The room is full of style. The postcards! I loved spend the evening at the altes tramdepot bar nearby.

The absence of elevator sadly making the structure not very accessible. The pavemt of the room very crinkly but i think it was also part of the "boaty" atmosphere hahahah. Just a suggestion for the bathroom (bathroom was very clean but sadly there is no window) is to put an automatic deodorant or a stronger fan.

I was absolutelly happy to stay in such autentenic place! Yes, narrow stairs, the floor is a bit creaky, furnace, small bachroom...but for me everything were unique face of the hotel. Very kihdly staff ! thanks for the early check-in! Very tasty "farm" breakfast. Clean, comfortable, walking distance till main street. Greate value for money option!

I had such a lovely stay at this hotel! The room and lounge were both beautiful and spotlessly clean. During breakfast, the front desk staff noticed that my coffee cup was empty and kindly offered to make me another one such a thoughtful and attentive gesture. I truly appreciated the warm hospitality and small touches that made my stay special. I will definitely stay here again the next time I visit Bern!

Very nice old building in the city center just a couple of steps away from the old town. Right at the aare you have a beautiful surrounding. The breakfast was very good and the hosts lovely.

could not have been better - you just have to know the building is old (but well maintained) and you hear the stairs/people getting in and out of the house. If you are a very noise-sensitive person this could bother you.

breakfast was lovely! full spread and very tasty the location is amazing - just a quick walk from the bear pit and right across the river room was big and spacious bathroom was great too! and extra bathrooms in the hallway was very nice

there isn't really a bus that gets you right to the hotel so walking from the train station is usually the fastest way I stayed on an extra bed and it wasn't very comfy (kinda understandable of course) but if you don't need one then that's irrelevant!

This place really shows what true hospitality means. Warm, caring staff, beautiful building, amazing breakfast with organic products and locally produced swiss cheese, good facilities and a big cosy bed. We were welcomed by the staff that helped us carry the suitcases to our room and there were Toblerones and water. Location is also amazing, in a walking distance to the city famous boulevard and rooms have a beautiful view. There is a room in the first floor with coffee and tea available for guests. I was there in snow days and it was truly magical.

The hotel was super cute. Just across and over the bridge from the old town. Minutes away by bus from the train station. One certainly feels home there immediately. The friendly and knowledgeable staff and the nicely prepared breakfast buffet round it all up to a great experience.

Shared bathrooms aren’t everyone’s thing. But it surely wasn’t a problem.

It was a charming, cozy, welcoming place. Breakfast was excellent. Tea room on the first floor was a nice touch. The staff was welcoming and accommodating.

Some rooms and bathrooms are quite small, with little space to store luggage/belongings. It was a steep walk up to the main streets, though bus stop is nearby.

Cute, quirky, homey hotel. Nice view. Right across water from old town. On tram line from train station to Paul Klee center. Was able to leave bags prior to check in. Nice quality soap, shampoo and lotion. Had room with shared bath but there was a basin in the bedroom. Coffee/tea station on first floor landing. Breakfast was nice.

I liked everything about the hotel. It was as advertised and pictured.
