The location is the best part. The hotel is also nice and cozy with a good breakfast option. Hotel staff was also very helpful.

Is perfectly located and in spite is close to the trams is very quiet and you can have a good nights rest. The staff is absolutely lovely and caring and the breakfast is organic and thinking in the environment. The whole hotel has a clear mind set on taking clear decisions to avoid green print impact which I appreciated. Is also very lovely and the bar is nice.

You could take the decision to ask for your room to be cleaned following the lead on good environmental practices. However, I notices that we had hardly toilet paper and being two in the room would have been nice to clear garbages. I requested it but no one came to clean so I had to take a new one from the cleaning car. Equally the price was higher due to high season and an event in the city but at the end it went very well and is a good hotel

The hotel is truly cozy and beautifully designed, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere. The breakfast was excellent, with fresh and high-quality options to start the day right. One of the best aspects is its prime location—everything is within walking distance, so I didn’t need to use any transportation to explore the city. The rooms are very comfortable, and the bathrooms are well-designed, featuring heated floors that add a nice touch, especially in colder weather. I stayed on the top floor, where the window was quite small. While there wasn’t much of a view, it was actually nice not to have any direct neighbors or overlooking buildings. I’ve seen some mixed reviews, but personally, I found the staff to be friendly and accommodating, and they speak English, so communication was easy.

The hotel itself is modern and stylish, located in the center of the city. Everything is quite close, with transportation stops nearby. The room was clean, beautiful, and comfortable. The hairdryer, the iron, and even the ironing board were a wonderful surprise. There was a small kettle with a selection of teas and coffee.

The room was cold. There was no standard air conditioner that could work for warm temperatures. The central air conditioning system couldn't be turned off, which caused constant noise and some cool air to circulate. The radiators didn't work either, which was very disappointing. We always wanted to come back to the hotel after long walks to get some rest in the warm hotel room. But we were forced to wear street clothes because the floor and the room were cold.

The hotel was lovely! Staff were very helpful, when we first checked in our room only had a standard double bed and was extremely warm and stuffy. I asked if it was possible to move and they found us an alternative room quickly, (but it was one of the last ones due to being so busy) they let me check the new room out and move over to it with no fuss and this was really appreciated! Breakfast was excellent and the location was just what we wanted! The area of the city was quiet and everything was within a 20-40 minute walk. Equally, there are tram stops only a few minutes away.

We booked and paid for a “Queen Room” and got one that fell into this “category” but the size of the bathroom wasn’t ideal at all, it was literally only about 8ft long and 3 feet (probably a bit less) wide. Not ideal for a 3+ night stay as it was extremely cramped.

The exterior of the hotel may be older, but everything inside is fresh and clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome. The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of options. I also appreciated the secure luggage storage with a key.

I was a bit disappointed that my request for a sofa bed wasn’t prepared until I notified the receptionist, despite leaving a note. However, their response time was quick. The double bed felt a bit soft, but the sofa bed was more comfortable. The location isn’t ideal, but it’s just a 10-minute walk from the National Theatre station, where the airport train stops.

Great breakfast. Location on the walking distance to most of attractions. Friendly staff. Excellent gym. They allow us early check-in without extra charge.

We stay at the hotel at the end of August and outside temperature was 17˙C and it was pretty cold in the room. We ask for heating, but they answer it is not possibile due to the central system of the hotel that do not allow possibility of heating on individual level (room). No coffee/tea in the room - it was available at coffe/tea machine in the lobby - not so convinient as when you have it in the room.

is a great hotel in a great location just 3 minutes to the palace. It’s a 15 minute walk from bus and train station the walk actually takes you through the main pedestrian’s street in the centre, Karl johans gate,, if you don’t fancy the walk then the tram stops right outside the hotel, tram 17 and 19. From the hotel it’s also a15 minutes walk to Aker bridge harbour area with lots of bars and restaurants and lots of boats offering trips around the fjords. The breakfast is really fantastic lots of choices hot and cold lots of healthy options. scandic holberg is a great hotel with very friendly staff…

everything perfect

The hotel was lovely, the staff were polite and helpful and the bag drop was really easy. The breakfast really was superb. Fresh fruit, juice, variety of breads, vegan and gluten free options, meats and waffles. Rooms were clean and warm. 2 Single duvets on the double bed through us off a little bit but all in all a lovely stay! Hotel was just outside a tram stop, so there is easy connections to the city and train station!

To be honest we didn't expect the room to be so small, it was difficult to store suitcases and there was nowhere to unpack clothes with only a small hanging rail. Despite this we would stay here again, but would book a larger room 😅

Good furnishings. Decor and room fittings were good. Articulated TV mount was very useful. Black-out blinds were excellent. Bed & sofa bed were comfortable. Breakfast offering was excellent, best variety and quality in EU - especially the separate dietary needs section (in our case Gluten Free/Coeliac).

Bathroom was very small and the layout was 'interesting'. Tram noise was extremely loud in the room. Pillows were a little soft. Fridge was too small to be of much use. In-room TV info system was not much use, and max volume was way too low especially with street noise.
