The location is great. Staff was helpful too when we had an issue with the shower. He fixed it right away.
I believe an extra plug in the room would be helpful. There is only 1 and it is behind the bed, which makes it a bit uncomfortable when 2 people need to charge their phones or their computers. The bathroom vent fan turns on when you turn on the light, There is no separate switch. This makes a constant noise when using the bathroom. Separating the vent from the light would be a great option so the guests can choose when they want to turn the vent on when using the bathroom.

I have been coming here for 11 years now, so it can't be all bad - location, friendly receptionists, fair sized rooms. At the same time I have to remind myself time and again: it is a Hostal and not a hotel. Improvements have been made on sound proofing from the noisy street, but from the side of the corridor and reception less so.
Again it is a Hostal and not a hotel: but cups or glasses in the room, a water bottle in hot Madrid - and come summer; be aware there is no a/c and no mini fridge to keep drinks or food - no breakfast served - cool or cold. There are ample minisupermarkets around, as well as restaurants but it is nice to be able to keep even water cold in your room when temperatures start going over 35 C. Or before that. This time i stayed in June, with still moderate temperatures so it didn't affect me too much. But it did make me decide not to book here for July, despite the good price.

We stayed at your fantastic hostel on Gran Vía, Madrid, and it exceeded all our expectations! My husband, aunt, uncle, their 13-year-old granddaughter, and I were thrilled to find this gem on a Friday. Each of us had our own room, which provided a perfect mix of privacy and comfort. The living room area and kitchen were unexpected extras that made our stay even more enjoyable. The best part? Each bedroom had its own balcony, offering stunning views of the city. Plus, the AC in every room made our stay incredibly comfortable. We felt like we were in heaven! The location couldn't have been better—right in the heart of the city and within walking distance to everything. The hostel check-in guy was super helpful and gave us a phenomenal recommendation for dinner (Asador Real - best meal we had all vacation). We are so thankful for finding this hostel and will definitely come back. Highly recommend! 🌟
nothing!

It't very nice location. Its very noisy outside but you can't hear nothing inside from the window..The people are all good. very accomodating and helpful. It's ok for 1 or 2 days stay.. But everything is very good.. Thank you
Its not really don't like but to improve. like the door I want a proper and nice door and locks. The toilet lights should not be connected to ventalition. I want just light alone and exhaust fan alone...And you hear people talking outside because of the door its not good.

Location is superb; you can't get more value for the money in Madrid centre. Friendly staff, comfortable beds, no noise at all, a humble yet nice and cozy place that is perfect for budget travellers.
The wifi didn't work very well. It caused my some troubles because I had to use it for work. Also the room needed a bit more of maintenance (especially the wallpaper that had tons of scratches. However, the bathroom was just perfect.

This was a great place to end our Camino journey. It was quiet, very comfortable, and good value. The staff was lovely as were the facilities. Bed was great, and location was also good.
The soundproofing could be better; we could hear folks in the hall and the next room a little too well. Fortunately, the other guests were quiet after the initial arrival, so it was not a problem for us.

Location was great though the building was old and not very appealing. Basic beds.
The apartment needs to be refurbished. This was our first time in Madrid but the apartment was filled with pictures of US- NYC. Why? So many beautiful places in Spain. Kitchen supplies was lacking. 2 teacups a couple of plates was basically it.

The location was fantastic. It's centrally located to metro access and very easy walking distance to several tourist attractions. The room itself was impressive with three balconies and a huge bed. While the bathroom was small, it was private and functional.
The wifi was unreliable. The windows enclosing the balcony facing north were dirty, and didn't provide the best views. The original panels that are meant to close over the newer glass balcony doors aren't able to close completely, which allows for some sound to come in, particularly from skateboarders in the plaza that stay there until 2am (not the hostel's fault). Some light switches didn't work, I believe a bulb was burnt out in the bedroom ceiling light fixture.

It's nice to get a room with balcony. During the day that is. At night you might want one without - skateboarders on one side of the building, party goers on the other side: it will get noisy. Bring ear plugs. I knew this - and accept it as the location is perfect, hotel staff is friendly and the room is generally nice.
