On arrival I was upgraded to a double room, which was quite large for one person, quite a large double bed. Had a fan light which kept the room cool at night as it was End of May/June 1st. But also the heating was put on in the morning as it was a little chilly but soon warmed up lovely really!! Shower was nice and warm plenty of room. Coffee and tea facilities well stocked and benefitted from having a fridge. Tv was big enough with freeview channels. Enough storage space for clothing, toiletteries and anything else too. Staff friendly and benefited from being manned 24 hours. The cost was very reasonable only £46 for the one night stay bargain really as I got upgraded but would still have been if it was a single room. I had toiletries with me so not a problem but the hotel only provided 2 small soap bars so I suggest to bring or buy your own. Hotel provided enough towels, sheets, blankets and pillows were very big and puffy not flat. Bed was very comfortable had a great sleep too. I will be returning!!

Not much really, perhaps could provide more toiletries. I had a basement room which wasn't a problem as was only a small staircase, but I noticed a large store room adjacent to 2a which would have the potential to turn into a small breakfast room if only to serve a continental breakfast with cereals and toast perhaps boiled eggs to residents at extra cost if necessary, just could of been an added extra facility. This would not stop me booking again but just an idea.

European hotel is down a quiet side road across the road from King's Cross station, so it's a perfect stopover for catching an early train from St Pancras, King's Cross, or Euston, which is 10 minutes' walk up the road. This is a family run hotel and it shows from moment you arrive. The reception staff are very friendly and greet you warmly. The teas and coffees in your room are generously stocked. The bed is comfy, the rooms have been properly cleaned and the whole place has a wonderful atmosphere that feels like a hug. I slept really well here and awoke refreshed and ready for my onward journey. I will definitely stay here again.

There is no shower gel provided, only bars of soap. I'd packed my own, but if you need it, the shops at King's Cross and St Pancras are a short walk away. The hotel overlooks Argyle Gardens, where there is a basketball court. As it was a beautiful summer's evening, a game was in full flow when I arrived. When I returned later that evening, the players were gathered on the benches, and the music continued until around midnight. However, it was just people enjoying their time together. I'd brought earplugs and drifted off to sleep regardless.

Great location near stations museums landmarks and cafes meant easy walking to much exploration and enjoyment. Traditional style windows in room and smart front door/entrance interesting whilst safe and clean enough environment for lone traveller especially with 24 hour reception. Polite helpful staff. En-suite shower and toilet tiny but personal space and privacy needs fully met. Really good value for money.

Room on lower floor (with steep stairs to access) was dark even in daytime. Didn't affect enjoyment of my stay and choice of main light or lamp was available.

The staff was a delight to deal with and very helpful with answering questions. Alright the room was tiny, it was clean and fully functional for our purposes.

The refrigerator was unplugged and we had to plug it in and wait some time for it to chill the snacks we had brought with us. The sink overflowed because the tiny device designed to block water just slipped into place unnoticed and was difficult to reopen. It was a tiny flood which was cleaned up with a bath towel. Had to climb up onto the bed to pull the tiny string that activated the fan.

The location, just a few hundred metres from King's Cross Station, was excellent, we could see the hotel from the train station and easily walk there with our suitcases. It was near dozens of shops, restaurants, pubs and major tourist attractions such as the British Museum. The hop-on, hop-off bus service stop was close by and it is in a very vibrant neighbourhood, where we felt safe to walk in the evening. It is an older building, with no lift and our room was small, but it was very clean, the bed was comfortable, the shower was hot and we had a view of a lovely little park across the street. It also had a small bar fridge, kettle and tea/coffee, and a TV.

The room was very small and the staircase and corridors were narrow but this seems to be typical of small, older hotels like this in city centre areas and it really wasn't an issue for us.

The location is superb, probably a 3 minute walk to King's Cross station. Staff are polite and friendly. My room had a shower, toilet, and hand basin. Checking in and out was smooth. There was a small wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside table. Also i found the room very quiet and peaceful.

Nothing too annoying, the room was very small but ok, and a bad smell in the corridor for rooms 3 and 4,which i reported to staff.

Property was excellent location stones throw from King’s Cross but still quiet. Room was small but just enough room for me and my daughter. Nice and clean, towels changed and bed made everyday. Had a ground floor room so view wasn’t great but we weren’t in the room for the view! Was a mini fridge which was a bonus too. Great stay would deffo stay again.

No air con but we managed with having the window open full and closing the curtains so sun didn’t blast in. Bed was rather small for a double and my daughter did fall out of it but she is used to a huge bed so rolled over thinking she was at home lol.

The location is excellent, as been five minutes walk from King's Cross and St Pancras rail stations, also tube stations and bus network. The hotel is great, welcoming and friendly staff, clean and tidy with all you need and very reasonable price essentially for London. That why I keep coming back at least once a year over the past 13 years

Nothing in my opinion only breakfasts are not provided now after pandemic, which doesn't bother me at all, the may reinstate this at some stage.

The room was somewhat Spartan, but clean, and it suited my needs perfectly. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the location, close to the British Library, St Pancras Station, and King's Cross, is hard to beat.

There was some street noise, but with the window closed, that was quite manageable. The hotel does not offer breakfast, but around the corner there are plenty of opportunities for that.

Always nice little rooms facing the square with trees outside. Room was clean, beds very comfortable, shower en suite. Room had s fridge. What more do you want?

Nothing really. You often hear noise in the early hours from people outside but it's just across from main railway stations so that's ok. Most construction and city noise dies down a lot after 6pm in this huge city! The room floor is all non-carpet, a rug might be good in each room for that little bit more comfort.
