More suitable for biz travellers than for a holiday. Not much character in its decor. Expected better fr an Oberoi after having experienced Udaivillas, Amarvillas and Jaipur. Entry into hotel is crowded and sometimes chaotic. Asked for extra luggage rack twice but never arrived. Service inconsistent. Food at restaurants was excellent and chefs clearly very passionate providing the best experience to diners.

The Indian restaurant in the hotel on floor 1. The waiter didn't warn us we had ordered too much food for two of us and had to give the food away as we ordered too much. Waste of £150! The food was great especially the mains but we ordered way to much and wasn't warned by the lady serving us which is poor service. The lady waiter was caught gossiping about us when we complained about the food we had ordered and she should have notified us it would have been too much for two people.

The food is really great / the staff are so nice starting from sachel who checked us in to every single worker there.

The AC isn’t bad but when I’m sleeping I wake up midnight sweating because it heats up.

I had a truly wonderful stay at The Oberoi Mumbai. The food was absolutely delicious, with each meal being thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. The staff were superb—always warm, professional, and attentive to every detail. What impressed me most was the exceptional cleanliness throughout the hotel, from the lobby to the room. Everything felt polished and pristine, making the entire experience both comfortable and luxurious.

The only thing I didn’t like was that the pricing for the mini fridge items wasn’t clearly listed in the room or readily available. I only found out the costs at the end of my stay. While it wasn’t a major issue, having that information upfront would have been helpful. Other than that, it was truly a perfect hotel experience.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel – an excellent experience in every aspect. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The breakfast was varied and delicious, catering to different tastes. What impressed me the most was the attitude of the staff – incredibly polite, professional, and always ready to help. The Butler Service was a standout feature, offering assistance with unpacking and packing, and even carefully wrapping fragile items. The hotel’s spa is not to be missed. Everything about the hotel has a level of elegance and authenticity attached. The welcome to the room to the staff who were just amazing during each and every part of my stay at The Oberoi's. Now I know why this hotel is rated so high in Mumbai - because it is right up there.

The only drawback, which also led me to lower my rating from a 10 to 9 would be the breakfast. I prefer a buffet breakfast and I am not a big fan of having to order dishes for my breakfast. Yes some dishes like parathas and the dosas should be on order but the buffet spread should have been been better even without the hot dishes.

We all know the Oberoi as an iconic property in Mumbai. This was a staycation for me and my boyfriend to celebrate his birthday. And the hotel didn’t disappoint! Small touches like a decorated room with a card and cake really made special. Full points to all the staff from Akshay the duty manager and his colleagues Siya & Subhrata at check in to Mahesh the person who helped us at the exit of the hotel were exceptionally warm. Didn’t eat there but used the pool & it was very nice Will surely go back

The beds were ultra soft and not good for lumbar support. We got memory foam pillows on request. Also the bay view room has partial views of the city so keep that in mind. Bit bummed but I should have read the fine print I guess.
