We stayed in the economy room because it offered us a quiet, clean, comfortable place to sleep and suited us that breakfast wasn't provided. Earlham Road was great location, too; within 10 minutes' walk of an evening event at the nearby Mitre that we have come to attend. The next morning, we jumped on the bus into town for a lovely brunch in the historic city centre before taking a train home.

It would have been useful if the Booking.com blurb stated roughly what time of day the code to the key lockbox would be sent as I wouldn't have bothered the manager at 11am to ask about this

This was my second time staying at the lodge and it was even more pleasurable than the first time. The room I stayed in was massive! It had a dinner table & chairs, a 3-seater sofa and TV, and a walk-in wardrobe that was also very large. Not to mention the bathroom! The bath was huge, and there was also a separate shower. I've got to mention the bed because it was like sleeping on a cloud. Whoever decorated the place did a great job. And the room was spotless, kudos to the cleaning crew! I hope to be back soon!

Just two minor things. The kettle in the room I stayed in should be replaced, I think. I didn't use it, as the filter looked a bit old. The WiFi dropped on my first night, at around 12 am, but it was back by the time I woke up. Probably a fluke because this didn't happened the first time I stayed at the lodge. Overall, my stay was absolutely pleasant!

Really big family room. There was plenty of space between the main bed and the twin beds. Proper size twin beds too, which were suitable for older children. There was also a good size Living area. So lots of space for all four of us. The bathroom was modern and big, with a separate free standing bath tub and walk in shower. Perfect for our overnight stay.

The living area had blinds, but no full curtains you could pull across and there was street lights outside. This meant a lot of light flooded in and mainly impacted the main bed area (much darker where the twin beds were). An addition of thick curtains to pull then gives the option for those who like it dark to sleep to use them.

Very clean and comfortable room. Although there is no staff on site, the lock box / key setup worked very well with good communication from the Lodge throughout. The room was a good size with plenty of space for our large bags of goodies from the local anime convention. The complimentary shower gel, shampoo, etc, in the bathroom were all great quality and smelt lovely. The shower itself has superb water pressure, the water was nice and warm and it was very easy to use. There is an abundance of towels provided in the sleek and clean bathroom and hairdryer for those who need one. The tea making facilities were perfect, offering a good range of choices. There were easy to follow instructions to access the Internet and for emergencies. The Lodge also offers a comfortable lounge area that can be used and ironing boards, which are handy, and there is wardrobe space for items that need to be hung up. Also, a small tv with good signal and picture, plus bedside lighting. The bed was very comfortable even when trying to sleep next to a wriggling individual, and there are extra pillows and blankets provided. Although there are no catering facilities, there is a local pub that does food and a Tesco within easy walking distance. All in all, it's a lovely place to stay and will definitely consider staying here again. The owners should be very proud of their Lodge and deserve high praise indeed.

This is the only reason i did not give 10/10 and i ummed and ahhed about it for ages: The only thing that was a slight let down, although it did give us a laugh, was the fan (needed in this hot weather) which danced across the table and looked like it was trying to take off. We instead chose the open window option :) The fan was, however, an extra bonus, which we had not really been expecting anyway, so it did not really affect our stay.

A really lovely place. Very clean and comfortable, well-presented, with extra touches like soaps, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, toilet roll, towels, tea coffee and even biscuits. Checking in was a breeze, it's in easy distance of Norwich city centre by bus, while also in a very quiet area. The free parking was amazing, and they even let us leave the car there after we'd checked out so we could look around the city before we went home. The staff were really lovely. I left my coat there by accident and they took great lengths to contact me and get it back to me, which was very much appreciated. Really nice stay, and good value for money too.

I can't think of anything negative to say, really, except that I didn't stay longer! Would have been nice to have stayed a few more nights!

Really easy to find, with straightforward instructions to use the keybox and access our room. My request for a bathtub was originally denied, so I was thrilled to find a lovely big bath when we checked in. It turned out we'd been given a free upgrade to a gorgeous room with a big, super-comfy bed, luxurious sofa, huge TV, little breakfast area, and even a small fridge and walk-in wardrobe! As a bigger room, it was a little cold, but we received a message from the hotel saying they'd preempted this and had left us an electric heater to help warm the room more. Being on the ground floor, we also had a lovely view of the garden right outside of our windows, which must be really pretty in spring/summer.

The room was a little cold (as mentioned by the hotel, it was a bigger room and cold weather) and the hotel didn't keep the heating on all the time (on automatic timers for the whole building to switch on/off throughout the day), but they left us an electric heater to combat this. I was also only able to get the bath to warm, which I'm guessing was also due to the heating not being on constantly in all the rooms, as it came through hot later in the evening. If I'm being picky, I also didn't like the shampoo (smelt good, didn't feel clean in my hair), so was pleased we brought our own, but this is a pretty minor note.

Tge staff Andrew and Adam were so helpful and very accommodating. They answer your queries ASAP. They even put a microwave in our room upon request. The location is the City centre and near the shopping areas. The room and bathroom are enormous. The decors are a bit traditional but classic and we liked them. The beds are comfy. The carpets are fairly new but very soft and comfy.

Not enough cutlery and plates, but not a big issue. It's a bit expensive but very competitive. What can you expect being in a city, anyway.

We were upgraded to a superior room which was great. It was very spacious, with a seating/TV area, large four-poster bed. Two large windows, one overlooking beautiful big trees.

The room felt too full of mismatched items (fridge under wooden dresser), antique bed but modern table and chairs etc. The cupboard was full of odd items (heater, fan, covers, pillows) and hard to open.

Booked room 6 was perfect for 4 of us to have a girls night in. Surprised at how big & lovely it was (very homely) beds were comfortable, room was clean & the bathroom was very nice especially the bath. Check in/out was very easy, nice tea/coffee facilities. Would recommend and stay again.

Room was a bit cold because it was big but owners had messaged to say there were fan heaters in the wardrobe which after 15 mins warmed up nicely and blankets/ extra duvets were provided so this wasn't a problem in the end.

lovely and clean. Had all facilities required.

it was very cold in Norwich but the radiator in the bedroom wasn't working so it was very cold when we arrived. Contacted them the next morning and someone arrived almost immediately to investigate. couldn't resolve until Monday but offered us another room. There was an electric heater in the room which we used instead.
