Lovely hotel and has all amenities within the hotel itself , on the outskirts of Ashbourne which itself is a nice town. Food great and not too expensive either. Had dinner and breakfast and no faults. Very well organised family hotel. Kids entertainment well advertised and the lady running it came round and dinner to invite children upstairs. Pool an cheating areas all clean and well kept.

Lack of dairy free options especially at breakfast. And the fact that you need to book a time slot for using the pool. Good in one way as it prevents over crowding in the pool. The hotel is good in that there is plenty to do while waiting to use the swimming pool.

We booked a family room for 2 adults & 3 children. Room was very clean, cosy and spacious with good AC too. Lovely soap in the bathrooms and plenty of extra towels provided. Pool was lovely. Time slots have to be booked in advance through the hotel website but it wasn't overcrowded when fully booked. Clean, fun and lifeguards were friendly but very vigilant. Bar food menu was very good and overall food was great. Staff again were fantastic, so friendly, helpful and in control. Overall a great few days away with the pool, the food and the fantastic staff being the highlights. Will definitely visit again.

It probably felt too pricy in the beginning, but that's an overall problem with prices for hotels in Ireland at the moment. Staff, however, definitely worked hard to make our stay worth every penny. They couldn't have been more helpful and friendly.

Easy to access pool without a booking. My kids really enjoyed this and I enjoyed watching them from.thr hot tub. We had a truly delicious evening meal from the bar area. There was plenty of complimentary tea and coffee and comfortable beds. I liked that the hotel makes an effort to recycle and there was water refill stations rather than using bathtap water for tea. Room not too stuffy or overheated. Friendly staff and a warm welcome

My bedsheets had some marks on it and was so tightly tucked in when I untucked it the undersheet was pulled away. I noticed no mattress protectors used which I personally think help ensure cleanliness between customers. Breakfast, it would have been nice to have has boiled eggs/pancakes etc on display rather than need to request. We did order pancakes but they were cold and dry, they did not taste fresh. So overall evening meal in bar was really delicious but i felt quality of breakfast did not compare. In general though great stay and we were happy with our night at pilo regardless of these issues. Evening entertainment for the kids, very close to emerald park. Pool was clean. Lovely breakfast with a wide selection of choice for all. Beds very comfortable and no noise from the rooms close to us. We had a very pleasant stay and we will be back again.

New to the hotel, so we weren’t aware that you had to book your slot for the pool. The lady in reception just told us to go on to the website. Would have been handier if she had have just booked us in. We weren’t able to make the first a lot at 10.15 for kids slot, so booked in at 11.00 and check out was 12.

Location was excellent as we went to tayto park Hotel was lovely and Morden and looked nice and clean

Unfortunately or sink leaked on us in our bedroom Then the lifts where out of order at one point (Was ok for us we can walk 4 flights of stairs) lol No one’s fault though these things happen We got fried eggs for breakfast and there was shell in through it ;( We couldn’t get booked in to the pool the two nights we were there! And i honestly think the play area and games room should be free for the price that you pay for the hotel! We couldn’t even get in to the play room My sister in law went a few years ago and it was better as you didn’t have to book into the play area!

The hotel is in a great location and is a terrific establishment. Great rooms Really liked the additional needs stickers at reception - my daughter is autistic and, although she didn't feel the need to make use of them, we were both impressed at the inclusivity and sensitivity.

Breakfast was nice but wasn't included in the booking.com price so I had to pay at the property. My daughter was charged the adult price despite being booked into the hotel as a child (16) Overall it was a nice meal, it not a little on the expensive side.

Very overpriced for what we got. Room was nice don't get me wrong, but nothing special considering we paid 600 for 2 nights and no meals. Sensory room was closed with no warning, had 2 kids with ASD so not ideal, was one of the main reasons for booking. Booking a slot for the pool was crazy, having to make accounts with websites etc for the sake of a 45 min session was a bit much. Tons of kids in the hotel and very little for them to do. In a nutshell its gorgeous, immaculate, but not very family friendly IMO

Booked this for rest & recreation with family including 3 kids (ages 0-6). Good spot from few shops, garage and restaurants from town (about 5-8 minutes drive). Great location from Emerald Park (about 7-8 minutes drive), Dublin Zoo (25-30mins drive). Spacious family room. Good to have complimentary water hydration station on the floor. We only had lunch in the restaurant, not much options to choose from, but good value for money and huge portions. They have a sensory place (which we didnt have time for), arcade station and Game room for PS5 or Xbox, which my boys loved. Although it's pricey for €20 for 45mins. Swimming pool area and changing room was good, had to book this online and beforehand. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Free carparking helps too.

Not much to mention, there's ongoing works during our stay, but it wasn't a bother. Perhaps the booking time for the kids in the pool could be extended a bit, which is at the moment from 1015am-630pm. As most would be away during the day, it would be great help to have the hours extended further. Although these are not everyone's cup of tea, but the Game room rental price can be reviewed (€20), which is a bit much for a hotel resident. Other than that, not much bad things to say.

The staff were great, breakfast had a great range, ideal hotel for family’s, kids club was great

Didn’t like that the breakfast wasn’t included , as I thought it was, so therefore hotel was dear for one night, would have been reasonable price if included breakfast. Our bathroom wasn’t clean enough, ie- hairs on floor and in bath, stain on floor by the bin, I don’t mind that it was dated and needs redone, but I don’t understand why it wasn’t a higher standard in cleanliness

I stayed in this hotel because it was close to emerald park but would come back just to stay at the hotel again. I loved the atmosphere in the lounge bar at night and our food was fantastic. we used the swimming pool, sensory room and games room with the kids. everything was fantastic. our family room was a good size and very comfortable. breakfast was good value and had a great selection. the price was great value in comparison to other hotels closer to Dublin. I would recommend 100%

my family and I enjoyed everything about the hotel and don't have any negatives.
