It was handy for Phoenix Park as we attending Bio Bord Bloom festival. The parking is very good. Most of the staff were very pleasant. Our meal in the bar area was good.

The hotel rooms are quite tired. On the first morning we weren’t acknowledged at all at breakfast by the two young ladies and had to ask if we could sit down. There was no queue and it wasn’t busy. We then had to ask if we could order and have a drink. The next two mornings the service was good and very good and friendly from one of the more mature ladies in particular.

Me and my boyfriend stayed for a night in this hotel and we got really surprised about how much we liked it. It is a simple hotel, like the old ones our parents used to go, that’s such a nice vibe, nothing like this new fancy hotels with lots of amenities and stuff that are not really useful, it has everything you need, the energy is charming and the staff are all very friendly. You feel at home all the time, also where is located is a very good part about it because you are close to the city but it makes you feel like you are on the countryside, which is so calming and relaxing, the room is also a 10, it is big, the bed and the pillows were very comfortable and we got such a quiet sleep. At night we got dinner in its restaurant which was so tasty and in the morning we got a delicious irish breakfast, also it is served by a wonderful Spanish man, I would definitely recommend this place to everyone and we are looking forward to come back again! We had an amazing time during our stay and the hotel met our expectations expoenentially. While the price was very high, we had known that going in since it is Dublin, but the facilities made up for this. The hotel was easily accessible by the bus ride that was a 5 minute walk away maximum and only cost 2 euros in cash. We also knew we had breakfast included, but it 100% exceeded our expectations as it was more of a restaurant style meal (you had a menu to choose from), but just a buffet style.

The only thing that could have been better was the pricing, but nothing more.

Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Food is very old school/traditional but very tasty. The premises does look a bit dated but it honestly does the job and as I said before, clean, comfortable with nice helpful staff.

We booked this hotel to attend a wedding and concert, so it was a pretty good location for us but it would be a little out of the way for central Dublin possibly. Also there didn't seem to be any local shop near by, though I could be mistaken about that...

Spent The afternoon in the Carvery watching a.constant stream of customers taking the Sunday carvery. We had the most tasty beef . excellent staff serving happy customers Very traditional hotel near Pheonix Park and on a bus route to Dublin ( 15 minutes . )We found parking very easy so ideal if you are touring. This is the place to stay with peace and quiet next to the park. About three pubs within walking distance. Top marks to The Staff at The West County for making our atay so memorable.

Very warmly greeted on arrival, and being a little early for check in, they were absolutely happy to allow us to store our luggage while we did some sightseeing. The room provided was large and contained a large comfortable bed as well as an additional single bed. Also had a writing desk, which was superb to work from, table, comfortable chairs and a wardrobe with plenty of space for storage. Room also overlooked a wonderful bank of trees, giving a scenic outlook Bathroom contained a great shower. Wonderful guest compendium was also provided to ensure all pertinent information was provided for. The on-site restaurant provided excellent food for reasonable prices. Excellent free Wi-fi was also available.

Excellent breakfast. Huge portions - exactly what I like! The room was very clean and the atmosphere was very welcoming. If you like vintage vibes that’s the place to be. Easy connection to Dublin City centre ( the bus stop is literally in front of the hotel). It’s possible to reach the hotel from the airport through public transportation. Due to the late arrival, me and my partner decided to get a cab from the airport which was around 20 min. Staff super friendly and great focus on customer service and cleanliness. I would highly recommend West Country Hotel.

The West County Hotel is ideally placed for visiting Dublin. There is easy access to and from the city by the number 26 bus that goes to Merrion Square with regular stops along the way. Return journey takes you just around the corner from the hotel as it goes on to the Liffey Valley. I would recommend you purchase a Leap Bus Ticket as its easier than looking for the correct money as the buses don't give change. We had a 3 day one and made good use of the buses around Dublin. The rooms are ample size for a couple with a very comfy bed to stretch out in. Shower good and strong with plenty of hot water. There are tea making facilities provided in the room and also a TV on the wall. Plenty of hanging space and drawers for clothes. We were on the top floor but easy access via the lift. Good views of surrounding countryside. Breakfast was a choice of continental or full Irish breakfast. Plenty to eat and other options available. Yogurts fruit juices etc. The restaurant offers a good selection of meals and bar food from 3pm till 8.45pm. A good stay and would most definately come back.

My one concern was the fact that there no security safe in the room for our money, passports and valuables so I had to carry them with me around Dublin which was not ideal. Some visitor brochures would also be good to help explore the city..

It was a beautiful quiet setting and the views are super. Food was very good. Car park brilliant and bus stop for Dublin beside hotel. Bed was lovely and they had a proper adjustable reading light which was an exceptional detail.

Decor and carpets a bit faded. but it was very clean and the bathroom was newly tiled with plenty of space and light and towels, so didn't really mind. maybe if you wanted photos for a communion etc. the bar and restaurant decor might look a bit flat.
