Clean and easy to get to

Our next door neighbour was smoking constantly despite the hotel being a non smoking property. When flagged to reception they told us the smoke comes from the street below even through we witnessed our neighbour smoking. The room stank of cigarette smoke and weed our entire stay

Property is well located to get to local sights. The rooms are on the small side. Make sure if you’re traveling from the US you have adaptors for your devices.

Check in process was very frustrating. Many times I emailed to ensure the hotel knew we were not arriving until 5am. That’s why we paid for an extra day. When we arrived the person at the desk said that they tried to call us many times when we didn’t show the night before and that the rooms are not available . I explained that we emailed and I called to ensure that they knew we were not arriving from the US until 5am. I had to pull up the reservation and show him the emails in order for him to find our reservation. He also said there were no notes put on the reservation stating we would be in at 5am. Seems to be a miscommunication somewhere.

All the hotel employees - from the reception to breakfast staff - everyone was absolutely lovely and helpful. The location is absolutely fantastic, as it it literally right next to Jameson Distillery. A lot of tourist sights are walking distance away, and the hotel is surrounded by restaurants and shops. And there's even a pub in the nearby street that has Trad Sessions. The neighbourhood was quiet and perfect for good rest. And if you do not want to spend 10+ eu for a breakfast sandwich, the hotel breakfast is more than worthy of the price.

Can't find anything that i've disliked during my visit.

Excellent location, nice and friendly staff. We had breakfast at the hotel restaurant one morning. It was a plentiful buffet breakfast although very meat orientated. Our room was quite (too) warm and at first we found no way of controlling the temperature. The staff gave us a fan. Afterwards I found we had a window we could open in our room! How wonderful! I was so thrilled, because it's so rare these days but I love getting some fresh air.

Pillows were quite big and too thick for my taste. The restaurant staff didn't seem to know about the offers they had running on the screen in the hotel lobby. Just minor things, no real complaints really.

Would recommend this hotel to anyone interested for a stay in Dublin. Well located, you have loads of restaurants and supermarkets a minute away. Jameson's distillery is just behind it. The tram is only 2m away and many buses to go to the center are only 4m away from the hotel. Neighbourhood is super calm and far enough from the noise of the center. Staff is friendly, resourceful and helpful. Rooms are clean and spacious. Love the fact that you can buy packages for various things like early check-in or late check-out. Restaurant is good and convenient. Thanks a lot for my stay at your hotel, my parents were happy!

Nothing to declare. We were happy with our stay. Would recommend the hotel.

The location is wonderful and near convenient stores and eateries. The hotel is lovely inside. We booked a junior suite and it was spacious. We were fortunate to have a city view and a lovely balcony but be aware that some suites only have a courtyard view.

I had pre ordered and paid for two boxes of chocolates which were not in the room upon our arrival. For 15 Euros each, absolutely NOT worth purchasing. It came with four pieces of chocolate in each box. The same brand is being offered at the Dublin Airport for 5 Euros and it’s is 2.5 times the amount of chocolate pieces per box… I didn’t order or pre pay for anything else but this for me does not bode well for the cost versus value of their other additional offerings…

I'm pretty sure I ended up with a better room than booked, it was lovely, comfy etc. Staff were very nice. Luas accessible to town. Restaurant nearby was nice for lunch.

Shocked there isn't a proper hotel bar - there's a restaurant of sorts, but it's not a comfortable place to be having a drink. Surprised me because all the other facilities were great. Was having a couple of glasses on wine and waitress was lovely, asked her when it was closing she said as a resident I had plenty time, but then a rude staff member told me to shift it that the restaurant was closing. lol

Lovely staff at check in and throughout our stay. Room was great with a great view of Dublin skyline. Fantastic location also.

I got room service when I arrived - cheeseburger and chips and choc pudding. Unfortunately, it was cold...but I am pregnant and was so hungry I had to eat. I spent 40€ with tip and it was disappointing that the burger and chips were cold and ice cream with choc pudding was melted. But, being pregnant I had to eat as my blood sugar had dropped and didn't feel well. The staff member who brought it to the room was lovely but had left when I realised chips etc were cold...just a shame and was so excited to eat.

The Maldron Hotel is very well located. There is a LUAS tram stop 2 mins away that takes you to around the city stops. The rooms are clean. Not fancy but bigger than most UK hotel rooms in that budget. Room service came every day but they only changed sheets on the 3rd or 4th day which was OK since we were in the room only towards the evenings. The surrounding area has some really nice quaint pubs and is walking distance to the Airport Shuttle and has a stop for the Hop on Hop Off buses near by. While we were there in June the weather was nice but just about started to get a little warm. I appreciated that the hotel gave us a table fan for the room as more EU rooms dont have air conditioning as did this one. It really helped circulate the air in the room. The Tesco near by has great meal deals for a quick breakfast so dont bother paying 15 to 18 EUR extra for the buffet breakfast as it is very basic. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

While the toilets were clean i don't think it was thoroughly cleaned every day. More attention must be given to the housekeeping. The Fresh Deli just below the hotel is great but a tad pricey.

Very good location (both as a starting point for a walk as well as when using city transport) with quite a nice view. A large convenience store in the same building with a rich lunch offer. An underground city parking with a reserved space for the hotel guests.

A limited choice of food for breakfast (standard Irish ruling), a week without any change in the menu. A walk to a parked car and back required going through an area with garbage containers, no indication of odor neutralizers used (summer in Ireland, but summer nonetheless).
