Excellent quality hotel, good value for money and the spa area with pool was fantastic. I used the spa area and pool multiple times during a short stay in Geneva, it was very relaxing. The location is very convenient to the lake and city centre and the free provision of coffee/hot drinks + small pastries by reception is an added bonus. Would highly recommend to stay here!

Only downside was the shower unit that's in the room had a small leak on the side, so when I showered there was a small bit of water leaking through the corner. Also the room floor was not very clean and looked a bit worn down in appearance. Otherwise everything was fantastic!

The staff went above and beyond to help me arrange a surprise in the room for my partners birthday. All staff were very quick to respond to my messages. The cake and rose petals were beyond my expectations and we both loved it equally. The room was super clean, super comfortable and the spa access (jacuzzi, swimming pool and sauna) was beyond incredible. They had constant clean towels, it was always clean and it’s open from 06:00 to 23:00! I cannot thank the staff enough for making our experience the best one we’ve had in Switzerland! This is a place we will certainly return to if we come back to Switzerland! A huge massive thank you to all staff again!

The 9Hotel is in an excellent location, just 5 mins from the central train station, and ten mins from the Lake. Being tucked on a side street, we found it quiet. The Air Conditioning was a welcome relief given the heat we were experiencing. The breakfast is buffet style and includes both continental and cooked options. There were English-language options on the TV. Note that, being a registered hotel, they can provide you with a travel pass that gives free use of public transit in Zone 10 (Geneva). You may need to ask them to send you the e-mail with the confirmation.

We did not have a car to park, and so cannot comment on options here, so if you have a vehicle, be sure to understand your options.

The room was modern and everything was clean. The room was dark when you closed the window and it had a desk and space for your clothes, nice shower (if you don't mind those in the middle room with glass, it did have a curtain though) and a separate toilet room (no glass) and sink with plenty of storage space around for toiletries. The bed was comfy and the size was great, we also had a small sofa-bed which was nice. The room was the best part of the hotel. However, the whole hotel is very nicely decorated and the pool was very nice. The room reminded me a bit of a Japanese hotel room but not as small. The proximity to the main station is great and there are also buses that make getting around convenient, although, Geneva is easy for walking around, specially in the city centre and nearby areas.

The breakfast selection could have been a bit better, however, there was a small selection of everything you would need for a hearty breakfast. The red-light district is just behind the hotel so you can see the street where it all happens from your window. We were travelling as a family so not so ideal but we just didn't walk down that street. Having said that, there were people chatting until the wee hours of the morning so expect to be woken up if you are a light sleeper. We were, I think, on the 4th/5th floor and could still hear them.

- Breakfast was really poor and insufficient, we had to wait for some time to get the omelette, bread, other stuff refilled. Kitchen staff was doing their best but I believe they are understaffed and the kitchen is small to provide the best service. - Swimming pool was relatively small for many people to enjoy at the same time (not a deal breaker) - The floor of our room was full of stains... Room 306, please do some deep cleaning

The reception staff were amazing during checkin and checkout, very accurate like a swiss watch, very helpful, understanding and go out of their way to assist you. The area is full of restaurant options, especially for Muslims seeking Halal food. The hotel is walking distance from Main Train station and other transport means, even if you have many or heavy luggage pieces. The Hotel is also minutes walking distance from Lake Geneva.

The rooms were a bit small compared to our expectations.

We loved the efficiency of the design of the room plus the modern decor. All staff we interacted with were pleasant and professional. Excellent breakfast. Good proximity to Genève Station.

Despite having a great location near the train station, the hotel is set in an area that has the potential to be a bit rough. Each morning outside the hotel, or near the hotel on the sidewalk, were people who were looking disheveled, intoxicated or possibly had mental illness or were involved in an argument. On the morning of our departure, as we headed up the block, toward the train station, we witnessed an altercation between two men which resulted with one man striking the other so violently with a flip flop, that the stricken man fell to the ground. This is no fault of the hotel but the hotel is located where this population hangs out.

The hotel was really good, very nicely designed, and a warm welcome, pleasant communal areas, brilliant pool and breakfast. The room was small but perfectly adequate, and very clean - the only thing missing were a few more hooks for towels! A particular thank you to Angie on reception, who made our stay really enjoyable. While the location was in the more vibrant area of town, this put us in a good place to explore; and we found some excellent local restaurants nearby.

The hotel is modern and very nice inside. The staff are pleasant and helpful and the rooms are small but adequate enough. The location is amazing, a short walk from the lake and the train station to the airport. The public transport is great if you are visiting the spa (one bus ride away) and you can walk into the Old Town in about 20 minutes. There is a gym and spa at the hotel which we didn’t use so cannot comment. Tea and coffee is free in the lobby and breakfast was great, with many options available including cooked breakfast, pastries, yoghurts, cereal, fruits, meats and cheeses. Definitely worth having breakfast included! The hotel gives you a free travel pass for public transport and they held our luggage for us when we weren’t flying home until later that day. Many reviews commented about the area being sketchy and feeling unsafe at night, the hotel is in the red light district of Geneva where sex work is legal. There are men standing on the streets at all hours of the night to ensure ‘business’ is running smoothly. They were only ever courteous and polite to us, smiling and telling us to have a nice day. There was an element of care towards us as they could tell we were tourists and we never felt unsafe. They are only trying to make money and drawing attention to themselves would harm their business, so they never behaved badly towards us or anybody else that we saw.

The shower was small and there is nothing guarding against the water spilling out into the room, so often when we showered, the entire floor of the room was soaking wet afterwards. The walls are paper thin - we could hear the entire conversation of the room next door to us and the noise was amplified when the couple next door came back at 2am having an argument. The toilet cubicle was again, very small and you could barely move in there. The lifts also - tiny! You can just about fit two people in there and nothing else, no bags or luggage.

The staff was very nice, very much appreciated that they spoke English or at least tried. Super amicable. They had a pool. Breakfast was good for the price. It’s near everything, walking distance. It’s very safe. Special proof sound windows. We loved that.

The bed…..omg, we both had backaches every single morning. The elevator was so tiny we both squeezed in , Swiss is made for small skinny people. We had to take the elevator one at the time so the suitcase could fit in, one at the time.
