It was clean and plenty of room as we had a family meeting in the room for guests to sit Absolutely lovely I requested ground floor accommodation and got what I asked for This is the third stay at Del Rio lovely experience and lovely people who own and run the Motel. I will be using this motel as often as I can when I visit Whangarei. The room was clean and a pleasant place to stay in. Thank you.

Nothing to complain about everything was well above satisfaction

The unit was in a good location. The Managers were nice to deal with. The room was older style with one of the kitchen stove knobs missing but was still usable. The room was near the reception area and the noise came through an open window ( which we did not know about due to it being behind curtains) until about 10pm. Was quiet after that.

Very very clean & tidy, spacious and all amenities required were provided. Beds and pillows were very comfortable- this is a biggie for me!

It was super hot and there is no air con, only fans. Pool was not working. Noise from traffic in morning but this was fine given how close we were to the hospital.

Clean, good facilities, good parking, friendly locals.

Got locked out of room because access code should've been texted not just emailed, was a situational problem which he took note of and was very apologetic. Lovely young man. We met two other people and had a really lovely evening. I'd like a curtain over the glass door because the lights on verandah were really bright.

The separate accommodation for the family unit was excellent. Lots of space indoors and outside was fenced off. The staff double checked every was ready and organised extra towels without being asked. Very approachable for help.

Pity that the pool was closed.

The stuff are very lovely 🙂 The room was really clean and comfortable we had everything we needed when we arrived, the beds are the best such a comfy sleep for me an my family, everything is so close ❤️ definitely going to book here again 👍

Our 'family room' was a large 3 bedroom apartment with all amenities included. Large separate kitchen. Very big dining and living area. 2 double beds, 3 singles. A balcony overlooking the pool area. Nice and big. Perfect for our family.

It was a bit dated which contributed to the not so clean feeling. However, it was tidy. It was really hot up there. There was only 1 pedal fan so we all ended up dragging the mattresses out to the lounge so we could all sleep with the fan for air flow.

Old hotel but clean enough well stocked if we had chosen to self cater. 20 minute walk in to town centre for dining. Staff helpful

Lack of air conditioning difficult spot to pull in and out of due to heavy traffic on the road

Everything our stay was short loved the cup of tea facility towels warmth and comfort

Maybe have hourly charge for late check out could have done with that because it is so close to hospital take family member for chemo and had com from kaitsia

The unit was basic but very clean. Glasses, plates, cutlery, electric kettle etc. were all available. It was warm. The bed was so comfortable I nearly took it home! Close to hospital which was a bonus.

Umm, in all honesty I couldn't find anything not to like.
