The whole hotel is very high tech with electronic doors that open with a code. The bed and linen were very comfortable. Being close to the centre was good and the information magazine was super. The blinds worked really well. The shower was really good too.
Not having any staff made the place rather soulless. The noise from nearby bars went on very late - well past midnight. There were very strong garlic smells that came from somewhere, probably the restaurant downstairs. The advertising said that there was no parking, so paying another $81 to park made it an expensive stay. The public can enter the hotel lift and stairs via the restaurant and we found that the maid had left our door open (and forgot to replace the towels) and although nothing was stolen, the security needs to be reconsidered. For such a high tech hotel, having only local TV stations was disappointing.

Nice room. Clean room, comfortable bed, great shower. Having a fridge and dishes was convenient. We didn't cook, but there are two stovetop burners and a microwave. Electric kettle and provided (instant) coffee was a plus. Close to Cuba Street where there are lots of restaurants. Try Ombra! Incredible food!
The neighborhood is kind of sketchy. Hotel entrance is in an alley which had a discarded mattress leaning against a wall when we checked in. Close to strip clubs (not our scene) and quite a loud bar. We never felt unsafe, but various Uber drivers told us that it's not a great area. Lots of police around at night. Maybe that's good, but it makes you wonder.

The Cobbler is in a great location, near to several good cafes, restaurants, and shopping streets. It's tucked back in an alley sort of, so noise wasn't an issue. For families - there are a couple of strip clubs nearby, but that shouldn't deter you from this great spot. This was my first time doing a contactless check-in. The code provided via text to open the main door did not work, however the hotel chat responded quickly to resolve the issue and we were able to get in after about fifteen minutes.
Our bathroom floor was uneven, so that water pooled away from the drain and made it complicated to use the bathroom if we didn't want we feet.

Everything, the beds were comfortable, the shower had great water pressure and shower heads, the kitchen was sparkling clean and had everything you need, and the little freebies were a great and really appreciated addition. The supplied magazine was really helpful and its great that you can get food and drink brought up from the cafe below. The staff at Eva's garage were freindly and extremely helpful and the food and drink were yum. The check in and check out process was simple and a refreshing change.
Nothing, everything was great

I loved everything about the hotel and the proximity to everything that wellington has to offer. The staff were friendly and operate at Evas Garage right next door so they were close if anything was needed!
The only thing I did not like about the stay was the parking situation. It is of no fault of the hotels and they do advertise nearby parking spots with their estimated walk time (which were pretty accurate). The only thing is that with 4 suitcases, it was quite a bit to lug to and fro the car (for us).

Absolutely everything. This hotel was the very first hotel me and my partner booked and we absolutely fell in love with it the moment we stepped into the doors. This is our favourite and one of the best hotels to stay in . The service here is unreal . The hotel helpers/cleaners , and especially the owners were so lovely and kind especially when I was booking the room . Even if the communication was virtual , they still did their absolute best to help me and I will forever be grateful and appreciative about that . They have made us feel comfortable and welcomed . This is probably our third or fourth or even fifth stay and may I say , they just never disappoint , it just keeps getting better and better every single stay so I would highly recommend this hotel if you want an amazing , welcoming and comfortable hotel to stay in .
Nothing, everything was absolutely perfect.

Basically everything. Super easy check-in. Instructions were sent in advance, so I didn't worry about not getting it. The room was very modern, clean, stylish and had everything you need (mini kitchen with good teas, coffee and even milk, complimentary snacks (not an overpriced mini bar type), all types of toiletries and even bath robes). Perfect location in walking distance from restaurants/bars/stores/some attractions. I was worried it could be loud as they had ear plugs provided, but it wasn't at all. Very helpful and detailed information about nearby parking that helped us find the best (affordable) option.
Not a big deal for us specifically, but it is not very spacious or very light room. Keep that in mind in case you plan to stay in the room for longer periods of time (we were mostly out)

They have bathtub and heated pool but its warm temp. The room is nice and spacious and they have free parking. The room design is interesting
The hotel feels a bit eerie at night but it’s just the sauna house design

We absolutely loved our stay here. Everything in the room is so well thought out and very comfortable. Communication is excellent. Location was great, very central. You wouldn't even need to leave the street there is so much in Eva/Leeds St alone. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Wellington.
There's literally nothing we didn't like but one very minor thing was that the room was supposed to be two singles and one double, but it didn't matter in the slightest as our kids ended up preferring to share a bed. I'm sure if we had messaged it would have been sorted quickly. But no complaints here :)

The Cobbler is a real treat. It is simple and efficient to engage with. The design ethos is impeccable throughout. Our studio room was comfortable, spacious, well equipped and quiet. The shower pressure and warmth are above and beyond. In the Lane outside there's a bakery, two brewbars, a pizzeria, a cafe, a florist, a cocktail bar, a chocolate factory, an Asian fusion joint and, our favourite, a tiny upstairs restaurant called Supra. Our room was great value and the location is in the thick of things. Don't hesitate.
