The hotel's location was just what we wanted, although the entrance at the rear of the building was a little intimidating especially in the dark and next to the night club. It is only a short walk to the train station and in the town centre, ideal for sightseeing. I booked the room without the window in error, but this wasn't a problem as we only used the room as a base for the night as we travelled throughout the day. The room was clean and spacious and had sufficient ambient lighting.

The only drawback I found with the hotel is the lack of staff, I didn't see any and there was no-one on the reception desk. There were no leaflets or suggestions of things to do or a map of the town to help you navigate the streets. This may only be a small thing,but I found it does help.

Perfect location in Gdansk Old Town, if you want to do some traditional tourist activities in the city. The room was fresh and comfortable bed. AC working, which was good. Overall a good alternative for the tourist.

I was a bit confusing to find the entrance, since it is in the corner of a backyard behind a closed gate. But after finding it, everything worked well. I did have som issues with the codes, but that was down to problems at my end, not Black Swan House

It was a 2 bedroom apartment and one of them doesn’t have any windows and the ventilation is not very good We had to keep the door open The other thing is that there only 2 tea cups and 2 glasses for 4 people and no one around to ask for more It was with us, as we went out It’s a second floor and no elevator. So if you have a large suitcase and not very strong…

Firstly the communication from the staff was great, they were really helpful and responded quickly - even calling me back out of hours when I left them.a voice mail about arriving late. The instructions were clear and concise, location great - right off the main street, easy to find and felt very safe. The room was lovely, clean and modern with everything you needed. Bed was lovely and comfortable and we were surprised that they came in every day to clean and refresh everything. Excellent value for money and if we return to Gdansk would defo stay here again.

Didnt derract from our stay at all and a bit of a Mute point considering all the buildings are very tall, but lots of stairs - to be expected only mentioning in case people with less mobility were considering - if that's the case ask for a room lower down.

We've really enjoyed our stay at Black Swan House. The location is just perfect, right on the main old town street with lots of sights and restaurants nearby. Host provided detailed directions and all codes, so it was very easy to find the place and get in. Code system made check in and check out very easy, as there was no need to wait for the host. The room itself is quite lovely, there is everything you need. It's clean and comfy. I would definitely recommend this place as this is a very good value for it's price.

We have stayed during the weekend and, as it's main street, it was quite noisy, so it might be difficult for light sleepers (that wasn't the case for us). I guess you can expect it if you book your stay in lively part of the town. Also it was quite hot inside, but sleeping with an open window was not the best option due to the noise. Temperature could be regulated, so again, not the major issue.

I liked the location of the hotel in the city center between two central streets. There are bars, restaurants, shops nearby, and a 10-minute walk to the shopping center (FORMA, probably the best shopping center in the city). We liked the room, it was spacious, the mattresses on the beds were comfortable. We will definitely be in Gdansk again and stay here.

Very nice and spacious accommodation located in the heart of the city centre. The insulation of the walls and windows is well done so you don’t hear the street noise, nor the neighbours, very peaceful stay indeed. The place is also very clean and has comfortable beds. WiFi works great too. Lastly, the staff is the cherry on top, always available, extremely kind and accommodating. 100% recommendable!

Due to my mistake, the staff provided towels only for one guest, even though it was a double room. Yet they quickly replied to my message. The hotel also has lockers which are free to use, which came in handy on the day we were leaving. The location in simply superb!!! It was easy to get there by taxi as well. Very clean room, nice bathroom.

Dealing with passwords and doors can be a bit tough and we have not seen any staff members at all, either in the evening or during room service hours. They reply to messages quickly though

Nice hotel, we stayed in the nautical themed room which was nicely decorated. Good location right in the heart of Gdansk. Checked in late in the evening and access was easy through the codes given. There were good facilities in the room with a comfortable bed, I was worried about noise from some old reviews but everything seemed quiet when we were there.

It was a little hotter than expected for the time of year so we would have liked to turn on the AC, but couldn't find any controls

Not your traditional hotel. It is sort of self servo e. You get entry codes to the compound, the room and that is it. The rooms are ok, and have sealed windows to dampen the Hussle of the main street. Location is the main selling point of this place: you are on the old town's main street, minutes by foot to any point of interest. And there is parking.
