The room was well presented, and the 3 x single beds were perfect for the 3 of us travelling to the area for the day. We were pleasantly surprised by the minimal sound of the highway, and trucks weren't an issue as we perceived it might be with noise during the night. 1 parking place per room was adequate for us. The wifi was good.

One of my co-travellers discovered crockery and glasses that were not clean. The toaster hadn't been cleaned of crumbs for a while either. This would not deter me from staying at the Shearwater again, though. Just some feedback: the toilet roll arm seems to be lacking a grub screw or something to contain it. It slides out.

The property was well located with easy access to the highway. We anticipated that there would be noise from the highway but it was minimal and didn’t stop us from sleeping. It was a short walk from the property to find somewhere to eat, the owner of the property was very helpful with suggestions of where to eat.

We stayed one week before in a room upstairs which had been refurbished, the room we stayed in a week later was downstairs and it was comfortable but the bathroom needed a little work.

I was just passing through for one night, it was just off the highway, no noise. Parking straight infront of my room, nice air-conditioning and fan. Double bed and single. Nice coffee and milk with biscuits in the room for the morning in the room. (Tea too if you prefer). Close to shops, Woolworths, BWS, cafes and restaurants. Great free Wifi.

It was a perfect spot for myself to stop overnight. I would usually stay somewhere with a pool, gym, room service. Although this was not necessary for this trip.

Have stayed here a few times. Return guest as it's a great location, good rates, and the rooms are always very clean and comfy, and the manager is always welcoming.

The big uneven driveway and the large potholes haven't been fixed. Its no good for our vehicles, as, they are so large, and hard to avoid when reversing out. The new handbasin tap was very hard to manoeuvre. Seemed stuck, and after forcing it open, it gushes and spays everywhere.

The room has been renovated, so it looks fresh and new. Its an easy walk to the shops as they are within a kilometre of the shops. Little traffic noise at night even though it is near a major road. Having a kitchette meant we could have a simple meal instead of having to get take away.

Need to climb stairs to get to your room. The hot water is plentiful, but needs the temperature turned up so a hot shower can be had.

Super clean, rooms semi updated but furniture very old. Could be done up easily and cheaply! Lady at reception was lovely and had no issues accomodating my very late checkin :)

Checked in late, was leaving early in the morning also, was a bit annoying to find no milk etc so couldn't even have a cuppa. Not sure if was forgotten or not provided, but pointless having teabags etc and no milk. Was too late in evening to ring reception.

Very convenient overnight stay near the Highway. Clean room with microwave, fridge and plenty of hot water. Parking immediately outside the room.

It's a relatively noisy location being near the Highway, but I sleep through anything!

The room was light and airey, it looks like it’s had a recent lick of paint and it looks great, shower was amazing, there were more than 1 place to hang a towel ( most motels only provide 1 space), the tables and chairs were handy and lots of bench space too !!!

It’s close by a noisy and busy road but I sleep through things like this but if you’re a light sleeper, maybe earbuds would be recommended

Room had windows that couldn’t be closed. Had a constant cold breeze blowing into the room during the night. Hotel is late 80s style needs to be updated. Kitchen benchtop was missing pieces.could not sleep at night from the constant light from outside blinds would be an option.

We needed a simple, clean overnight stop. Coffs Shearwater fitted the bill and we would happily stay there again on our next road trip north.

Tricky access, but once you've learned how to get in it's not a problem. We just needed to go around the block.
