Perfect view, beautiful decoration, great food and exceptional staff….could not have been more helpful. It’s impossible to describe how beautiful the view from our lake view room was, at all times of day. The breakfast is the best that I have had for a while and the pool and grounds are immaculate. The interior of the hotel is stunning. A very romantic place, we loved it . The gym was perfect and I had an excellent massage . The concierge were extremely helpful and quick….we did a boat trip and it was really worth it.

Our room was fairly small and there was a lack of privacy on the balcony owing to the insubstantial, but pretty dividing screens. The steam room was not hot and nor was the jacuzzzi. The road is noisy and you only notice this when you are by the pool or trying to cross it. More could be made of the lakeside area….could do with a pool there as well maybe.

View from the room was perfect, you could lay in bed and have a clear view over the lake out to the islands. Staff were great, nothing was too much trouble. Hotel style was as we pictured and wanted it to look, took you back to better times. Sitting in the bar with a drink chatting and socialising, chap at the bar was very cheery. Breakfast, tasty indeed, good choice ohh and the fresh honey was amazing. Stresa is a lovely, vibrant place to visit. Lots of little streets and allyways with shops, bars and cafes to explore.

There is no in room tea/coffee facilities. Whilst the view from the room was great the noise from the busy road was not. Fine if you close window and doors and just use aircon, Its not walkable into Stresa, there is no path for the firs half of the 30 min walk. Shuttle from hotel to Stresa stops at 6pm, there is not a lot of taxis so getting back to the hotel entails walking along dark busy road. Lack of variation on the menu, same choice all week.

The room was beautifully decorated; cute balcony and mini bar was free. Staff were very friendly. Gluten free offerings for breakfast (set up as part of the buffet so you didn’t need to ask for them). They had gluten free cruskits, sweet biscuits and gluten free bread that was suprisingly soft and tasty. We had a light lunch on one of the days and enjoyed this. Drinks and snacks on the terrace was also nice.

The walk into Stresa was via a busy winding road without a footpath.

There are not enough superlatives for this hotel. We LOVED it. If you want to feel like royalty, this is the place for you. Stunning location, wonderful staff who cannot do enough to help you, excellent service throughout. Wonderful pool, with plenty of sun loungers. Food was amazing, The dinner experience was one to remember forever. I think you get the drift!! We would love to stay here on a regular basis. Now my most favourite hotel in the world.

That I had to leave!!!

The hotel Palazzo Villa Aminta was the most magnificent and exquisite 5 star hotel that I have stayed in over the past 20 years. The location in Stressa on Lake Magorrie was perfect. My room with a partial lakeside view was actually a very large suite. The morning buffet was the biggest and best that I have ever had the pleasure of. The dinner menu had a large selection and the food was exceptional; the prices very fair. I am booking next summer for six nights so I can enjoy their health and beauty spa.

Amazing view, makes having breakfast, which is superb, even more enjoyable. Good fitness center. Nice staff. Although it isn't located in Stressa center, the hotel provides shuttles to/from Stressa about every 1:30 hour.

The chairs in the room are very uncomfortable. Personally, every now and then, I need to do some work, even when vacationing, trying to do so in the room, was a bit of challenge. People traveling just for leisure probably won't have trouble with this regard.

The staff were incredible-I had read some previous reviews about the staff but could not believe how outstanding they all were. One person in particular who sticks in my memory is Alexander who works at the bar-he is a real asset to your hotel. The breakfast was also sublime

No faults at all, however if I was pressed to make a comment, I could say that the bedrooms were a bit cluttered-too much furniture, although extremely classy

We had a beautiful room at the Palazzo overlooking Lake Maggiore. The design of the whole hotel was fabulous and everything we ate - breakfast, dinner, snacks - were all amazing. Expensive but worth it!

The pool was always crowded with limited shade so we unfortunately didn’t get to use it.

Food, staff except for housekeeping.

Hotel position means there is nowhere to walk outside the hotel other than along the busy road with no pavement! Hotel wifi is dreadful. Understand hotel is to be refurbished over this coming winter.

The hotel was not only lovely, but had by far the best views of the lake. The breakfasts were wonderful and staff very helpful. I would highly recommend staying here when visiting Lake Maggiore.

The Wi-Fi could have been faster and more reliable. Also, the spa had a damp smell which needs to be addressed. correcting these issues would improve the quality of the hotel.
