Excellent staff- very friendly, caring and at all times professional- the small touches- mentioning me by name throughout my stay ; always happy to answer any questions. I extended my stay and had to change rooms. Both were extremely well appointed with everything required. Again, the small touches- fresh milk available at all times in fridge on the landing. The food was very well prepared with quality ingredients throughout. The waiting staff were very attentive, but unintrusive. Overall, I had an excellent stay in a quality hotel with high standards throughout.

The location of the hotel fit our needs quite well and does have on-site car parking. And it was interesting to stay in such an old, historic property. The guest room was comfortable and had good amenities. The food quality and service at dinner was great, and also the breakfast was well done with food choices and quality. The young people who were employees of the hotel and restaurant were all quite personable and helpful and we really enjoyed interacting with them.
There is a lack of signage to help find the best way to drive into the car park, and it was frustrating after a long day on the road. The carpeting inside the door leading from the car park, and the entrance to the Reception desk is very worn and dirty which makes for a poor first impression. The manager-on-duty at reception, and later in the restaurant, seemed stressed which does not put guests at ease, but they did become more hospitable after a bit.

It’s a small, attractive hotel, with nice decor on the Main Street of very pretty village. The food was excellent & staff were friendly.
The car park is very difficult to gain entry & to find a parking place. Although we had been pre warned about the limited places, it was more difficult than we had expected. However there is plenty of free parking close by. There was a problem with the door leading to the en suite bathroom. It was extremely difficult to close. We frequently heard a bang, which we assumed was a door leading to the extended corridor.

The bed was very comfortable with fresh, crisp bedding. The towels and dressing gowns were good quality too. There was lots of storage in the bedroom and the windows opened easily That allowed us to freshen the room each morning which we like to do. The curtains were super and provided a complete blackout at night. The food for breakfast and dinner was excellent with good, varied menus. We had dinner in the hotel each night. The staff are a delight and, as well as being courteous and well trained, they were efficient and attentive. It is lovely to see a range of ages in the the staffing, so that young people are being given jobs in a lovely place with good role models in senior staff.
We may have visited before the thorough spring clean but I would suggest a clean of paintwork around the handles and at the bottom of the doors in the rooms, for example. It's a comment meant to be helpful as, otherwise, the cleaning of our room was super each day.

This is a very friendly hotel and we were made to feel very welcome. It’s exceptionally dog friendly. The staff were really lovely and made our stay. The hotel is in a great location (apart from the road noise in the day which they can’t help). The room was spacious and well equipped, including bowls, treats, a towel and a blanket for the fog. There are pretty little walks in all directions a BnB d of course, the castle which stands proud at the top of Warkworth. The fruit salad at breakfast was wonderful. We weren’t so keen on our evening meal. We would definitely stay again. Thank you to all the staff.

This was an exceptional place to stay .. the room was spotless. and decor homely and tasteful. A surprise was the modern bathroom with toiletries supplied. I suggest for the sake of the environment they replace these with large wall mounted versions. Best of all were the staff who created a friendly atmosphere. An enjoyable stay and I highly recommend this hotel. Worth noting there is traffic noise at the front but even tho I live in quiet surrounds I didn’t find it disturbing.. Thankyou all!
Everything was good and I forgot to mention the thoughtful touch of milk in a fridge to replace those horrible little sachets .. Oh yes and the bed was super comfy

Staff were excellent, and couldn't do more to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Little touches like availability of fresh milk to hand makes a difference. The menu for both dinner and breakfast was broad and well balanced, dinner being excellent value for money and high quality.
The lack of comfortable sitting areas is a disappointment, and the only one, especially as there previously was a lounge. Perhaps placing comfortable seating in the dining room to the rear of reception would address this. Unfortunately the bar area is not conducive to comfortable seating

The staff are so welcoming and always have a smile Very very dog friendly The food is wonderful and tasted as good as it looked Comfortable bed We will certainly be coming back The location is to stunning
Our room was road side, so it was a little bit noisy but we got used to it Very narrow entrance to the car park and limited parking, but the hotel are very honest and upfront about this and everything more than makes up for this. Being an old building and stone walls all around, there is nothing that can be done and it enhances the character of the property

Excellent hotel the staff are friendly, courteous, professional and nothing is too much trouble. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. We stayed 7 nights and have already booked for next year ! Dog friendly is an understatement blankets, towels, bed and bowls in the room staff on their hands and knees playing and fussing with the dog Eric had a great time. The breakfast is exceptional and yet again nothing is too much trouble if there's something you want even when not on the menu. The food in the restaurant is excellent, tasty and huge portions so be warned elasticated waists are essential especially when staying several nights.
Slight problem with tv but that was out of their control and was sorted asap.

Good choices for breakfast, freshly cooked and attentive staff. Room was cosy and warm, but spacious enough, and well laid out for an older property. Modern bathroom, very clean. Fresh milk was available in small fridges located on corridors, great for extra drinks taken in the room. Meals in the evening were absolutely delicious! Very friendly and welcoming staff from cleaners to receptionist. Short walk from hotel to Warkworth Castle. 20min walk along a path to Warkworth Beach, over the mediaeval bridge, which had otters swimming in the river underneath.
