I booked Two-Bedroom Ocean Suite for 3 nights and it costs a total of $926 via Booking.com. However, there will be a small surcharge (it was around $16) if you pay with a debit card like I did. It’s situated only 200 metres from the nearest light rail station (Broadwater Parklands). Besides, they do also have the concierge services at the counter. The front gate of the building is at the back of the building, which means it’s separated from the entrance for Sundale Retail Precinct, where there are Woolworth Metro, Chempro Chemist, a few cafes and restaurants. Moreover, the nearest shopping centre is Australia Fair, which is about one kilometre from here. One of the most popular park, Broadwater Parklands, is approximately 1.2 kilometres away. With that being said, you can simply take the light rail to Southport (2 stations) and walk to both of these places. Having visited Gold Coast for quite a few times and stayed in Meriton Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach, it’s my first time staying in a hotel/apartment in Southport. The check-in day was pretty doomed due to not only the rainy and gloomy weather but also the Wi-Fi login issue and I was allocated to the room 4907 on level 49. However, the Wi-Fi issue was quickly solved because they register my surname as my first name by mistake. Most importantly, I did request for a southeastern oriented scenery and my request was completely met. In addition, it’s the most incredible room that has ocean view with Marina Mirage and distant obscure islands from the living room and landscape of city, hinterland, and river from the bedroom, respectively. I certainly enjoyed both the sunrise from the living room balcony and the sunset from the bedroom balcony as much as I could. Just love the great superiority of views this room has.

I would also like to share the problems I faced with other than Wi-Fi and how I got through them. To begin with, the room turns out larger than my expectation and there are a total of four TVs, each of them is in the main living room, small living room, and two bedrooms but somehow the TV in the inner living room can’t play anything.

The View was brilliant , And had great views of cyclone Alfred , the wild seas and skys , The Room cards worked very well , and the lifts didnt smell like a pizza . Such a shame to leave early .Ended up buying a Pillow ..

Hard to find where to park to check in, To check out I Double parked at the front of the foyer , ( as i cant walk far ) .. Had to leave early to get away from cyclone Alfred , such a shame but couldnt help and nuthing open anyway. In respect to the cyclone , the window next door had half the sealent missing , would be rain affected , maintenance needed there .

Incredible, so accommodating! Bath - Incredible. Bed - Oh my god. Pillows - going to buy 2 before we head home!! That bath - perfection. View - stunning! And what - TWO balconies. That blew our mind! Meriton has quickly just become our number hotel choice nationwide. Staff were amazing. We didn't arrive until after midnight, and the staff were happy to accommodate this! Worst thing - we arrived at 12am and left at 9am. If I wish one change, that would be that we could have had more time there before we head back to Hobart Monday. Meriton team - Honestly, thank you! See you Monday to purchase those sleep inducing pillows!

That we didn't have enough time to enjoy the property.

We stay here when visiting family in the area - great location and very well maintained and appointed - good value for money. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows fantastic - the block out curtains allows you to sleep in past sun rise. Very handy to have a washing machine and dryer to use. There are a lot of shops, restaurants within walking distance - there is a small Woolworth downstairs.

My husband does not like heights - the lowest floor we could book was the 25th floor as the lower floors are rented apartments. Not a deal breaker as we just kept the curtains closed.

The amazing views. Comfortable bed/pillows 10/10. Great price. Location couldnt fault at all. Feels more at home, very cosy and well presented. Staff were ALL great mannered, helpful, very nice. The toiletries supplied are great quality. I will definitely be recommending and staying again!

House keeping wasn’t daily and the supplies that were accessible weren’t enough in the meantime. - no vacuum/broom, no spare rubbish bags etc. Checked in mon, wed night had to request clean towels (which was quick to get to the room and warm) because housekeeping hadn’t come, 4 night stay - checked out Friday and room was scheduled for housekeeping thursday - a day of before i was leaving which i found strange but there was no issue or delay in getting me fresh towels when i phoned reception. No spare blankets.

A well-run property: clean, modern, good-sized suites, fantastic views, nice well-equipped kitchen, hard floors (although carpet in bedroom), accommodating staff, good location (great breakfast cafe next door).

Pillows were WAY too big AND too firm. Ironically, they sell pillows including one that would have been great to have available in the room, but they weren't. So, not the greatest sleep with neck ache (too often pillows are made to look good on the bed (large), but not good/comfortable for sleeping as was the case here). Both my partner and I were ubhappy about the situation.

It is located right at the tram stop. Apartment had a beautiful view over the Spit. It was big and airy for 2 people. The pool was a beautiful temperature. There is a handy Woolies in the building to get supplies. The building felt very safe and secure, your card only allowed the lifts to go to your floor or the communal floors.

Our apartment didn't have a clothes airer. It had a washer and dryer but no where to hang the clothes you didn't want in the dryer. The lifts are slow, you could wait up to 15 minutes at certain times throughout the day.

The moment I first opened the door I was in love with this apartment! The view from the 40th floor amazing I could see ocean, beach, Broadwater, and the hinterland. It was so clean, so comfortable, new, undamaged, and luxurious. Meriton went above and beyond to make my 43rd birthday a special occasion with complimentary bottle of champagne, a handwritten personal birthday card, a balloon, and a free room upgrade. It was quiet, very private from other guests, and the location was perfect to access the tram, supermarket and many restaurants downstairs. And a short walk to the famous Broadwater. The bed was so comfortable. Massive walk-in double shower, separate laundry, full kitchen, great sized balcony, reverse cycle aircon, and comfortable lounge/dining area. Nice pools and spas, complimentary pool towels, and a fancy lift service that takes you directly to your room floor when you swipe your card. Parking was extra, and it was slightly confusing at first to find the exact hotel guest parking area. But the staff were 10/10 friendly and happy people who genuinely cared about your stay. I would definitely recommend this place, hands down I would stay again with its UNBEATABLE price even though it was the Easter school holidays. You won’t find anything better. The parking was a tad confusing at first.

The view is spectacular, apartment is large and comfortable. We stayed before and the mattress was too firm last time but this time this was addressed before we checked in, which is good.

Not much really. Some part of the apartment was not cleaned properly before we checked in but once we told concierge someone came in and cleaned it for us shortly after, so we were quite happy with the responsiveness from the staff. The lifts were abit slow, but at least there were notices telling us why. We did get stuck at the carpark boom gate as the code wasn't working initially so had to go back to hotel to get that sorted out again.

We loved the location. There are cafes and restaurants just downstairs, as well as a grocery store and bottle shop. Parking was easy (not that cheap, but very easy). The staff were extremely helpful. The amenities in the kitchen were excellent and we loved the view.

The space around the bed in the bedroom was very tight. There is only one bedside table, which is on the side that is difficult to get to, as you have to duck under the TV mounted low on the wall. There is also nowhere to plug in your phone as the powerpoints are covered by the bed. The bedroom also gets a little stuffy so a fan somewhere, even a pedestal fan, would be helpful. Everything else was great.
