The hotel’s facilities and environment were very beautiful, but we were extremely shocked and disappointed to find three huge cockroaches in our room. My son and our family were very upset. The room needs to be properly pest controlled.

Room- very comfortable and always clean Staff- superb and always went above and beyond Pool- very big, lots of space, and seats

Buffet breakfast- wouldn't say value for money. The range is not as big as the Marriott buffet breakfast which is the same price and only about 5-10mins down the road. We came at 930 and they said they closed at 1030. By 10am, half the food was gone and not replaced. In general, food and drink is ridiculously expensive. So unnecessary to charge the prices they do.

Great location and view, friendly helpful staff, amazing food, nice rooms, pools looked very pretty and will be great in the warmer months.

Air con in room was very noisy.

The hotel needs to let people know about the facilities they have - for example I was not aware that there was a kids games room till I mentioned to a staff member that there needs to be more for kids to do at night and outside the pool - I didn’t know that they offered “go explore” travel cards and I spent 3 hours looking to buy one one evening They need to tell people or advertise what they have to offer. Also they need to improve on their house keeping most nights I would come back to my room and the beds weren’t made , no fresh towel or toilet paper

We stayed at the Sheraton for one night for a birthday celebration. Staff were friendly and welcoming. We did get a complimentary gift at the room for the celebration which was a lovely gesture from the hotel. The pool and hotel room looked a bit old but not too bothersome. Pool bar was great and there was yummy burgers being made by the pool as well as other menu choices offered. There was free icy pole at 2pm which was a great offer (not sure if this is offered all the time or because of school holidays). It looks like the hotel did some activities for the school holidays which was a nice gesture. Buffet breakfast was fantastic! Alot of variety which was good. Overall nice stay, plenty of sun beds and umbrellas and the beach was behind the hotel.

There was no gym on-site. You had to go across the road. You have to scan a QR code and sign up, and the hotel charge a $30 deposit on your credit card if you do choose to utilise the facility. We were disappointed with the room. I had upgraded to a lagoon room which shouldn't be advertised as a lagoon room. Should be 'partial' or 'slight' view. There was more garden and a tiny corner of some lagoon. This won't be a top choice of hotel recommendation for me to give to any family and friends

The staff were fantastic, very friendly helpful and attentive. The breakfasts were great, huge choice and great coffee. Sparkling wine on arrival was a delightful surprise, checkin and out was seamless.

The hotel is very tired, common areas are well kept and have a luxury feel, but overall - needs a huge makeover. I understand the upkeep would be huge given it’s right on the beach and that’s a very harsh climate, salt air is very destructive. The gardens were well maintained but overall needs a lot of work to bring it up to standard. Room rate seemed high due to this.

The pool was insane, the breakfast was ok - nothing amazing, the seafood buffet was absolutely mind blowingly good, the cocktails were great, room service was great, location incredible.

The facilities are all pretty run down and average. It all just needs a good spruce up and a coat of paint. Everything looks a bit sad. The pool had obvious repairs required, there were rusty things, side of the pool had a big gaping hole thing where the lining was coming away from the wall, rotten wood on the swim up bar. But it was all still good and useable. In terms of the room, it was all pretty outdated. For a luxury resort, I would've thought it would have a proper shower, not a shower inside a bath, and it was a tiny bathroom. The rest of the room was real good though.

I couldn't fault this establishment but I can offer some tips - I would advise adult groups to ask for a quiet room as there are a lot of families with small kids and they can be very loud. Also, the establishment is sprawling so if you have any mobility issues inquire about suitable room close to the area/s you deem most important to you.

Liked Everything. The suite was spacious, well appointed and very comfortable. The heated pool was a real bonus for end July/early August. Staff were amazing to deal with. Check in and check out extremely efficient. In Room dining was delightful. Bars were terrific, although service at pool bar was often quite slow and some beverage choices a bit limited.

On two of the 5 mornings we had a roof tradesman stomping all over the roof on top of my suite at 06:45am. That was NOT pleasant. Concierge and front desk staff were quick to address this when I complained. Some food and beverage options at the pool bar were quite limited, and staff were a bit slow even when hardly anyone about. Generally though still a good experience here.

The pool area, vicinity to the beach, breakfast buffet and games room for the kids. The staff were also so friendly and accommodating, especially with our 2 year old. They also had entertainment and activities near the pool area - there was free face painting on one of the days we sat by the pool, and the artist was so patient and gentle with our daughter. She’s still talking about that glittery butterfly!

Without access to a car, and not many options for food within walking distance, we were limited to eating meals within the hotel during our stay. Unfortunately this meant we didn’t have a huge variety of options and meals were on the more expensive side (even for fairly basic things, like a sandwich). Not a deal breaker, but something to note if you’re considering staying without a car.
