Good location, walking distance to the city centre. Very clean hotel. Rooms are very comfortable.

No mention in the booking about a €100 deposit.

Location, staff, food and drinks.

The toilet was dirty both inside and outside and had not been cleaned before we arrived to our room.

The room is big, beautiful and full of nice extras (like the vinyl player!), the bathroom is amazing, the swimming pool... basically everything

Surprisingly, I found the bed really low level for such a structure: poor mattress, badly done, overall I didn't sleep very well.

I liked how friendly and accommodating the staff were! I also liked the style of the hotel when I got to my room there was a vinyl player which I thought was so cool and they had plenty of refreshments. Also they had protection for any sexual activities which showed me that that are safe sex positive!

I have no complaints.

great location, staff. The bar and restaurant on site was very nice.

The rooms were very small to navigate for 2 people staying in there.

The breakfast and restaurant on top is outstanding with the wide open View and delicious food.

That the hotel gym was also the local gym ? The vibe in the gym went from being do your own thing to not very welcoming once people just started showing up for the gym. I felt that I was disturbing a group work out session with a personal trainer. Coming for a gym that work out every day it takes a lot to make me feel uncomfortable or like I’m not wanted. The was extremely limited rooms once the work out (class) started as they were basically blocking the front of entrance to gym or exit.

Typical hip-type hotel, rooms are small but stylish with the typical attention to detail. The gym is very good, equipped with very high-quality barbells, dumbbells, benches, a cage, and some machines, the pool area is very nice, too.

Restaurant kitchen closed at 9pm SHARP (I was there at 9:04), and afterwards, there was no food available for room service either, despite being told differently at the reception. A bit under par for a place like this. Handling amendment requests with your reservation really depends on who you reach, some people refuse to help you, some are perfectly handling your request.

The overall aesthetic of the hotel - variety in design that all works well together. Restaurant standard was good, breakfast portions large and good selection of drinks and well made cocktails. Pool and Sauna area; clean and well maintained.

Minor gripe - the room is well laid out but quite small, no storage (wardrobe / drawers etc) so you will live out of the bag but it is ok! Pricing system of breakfast could be looked at - set price regardless of having a full Irish (good value) or a granola (questionable value) But - we ate there twice and both times no problem with the quality!

A really nice stay. The rooms are compact but well-designed, offering stylish amenities for a comfortable experience. The gym is well-equipped, and while the pool area is small, it’s a nice extra. The food options are good—though the vegan selection could use some improvement—and the bar staff at Sophie’s Restaurant are welcoming and friendly. The location is excellent, right next to the train station and just a short 6-minute walk to the city centre. The shower is great. The reception area is lovely—great for a coffee during the day and transforms into a relaxed bar in the evening. Overall, a well-thought-out space in a great location.

The pool was much smaller than expected. There’s a record player in the room! Though, unfortunately, the records have seen better days, due to guests struggling to figure it out. NOTE TO THE DEAN - Time to replace the LPs

The rooms are small but very comfortable and everything you need, although, a box of tissues would be a plus. LOVE the bar, the vibe and the cocktails. Staff at reception and in the bar area were fab.

The AC in the bedroom functioned ok but could only get it down to 18c - we like to sleep in a cold bedroom, would have like to get it to 16c, but obviously there is a central override that only allows a min of 18c. We were about to book brunch at the hotel when i realised we were looking at the menu for the Dean in Dublin, the menu in Cork is very limited in comparison. We therefore went elsewhere for brunch.
