Lovely hotel, ideal location.

Only thing I could find fault with was the swimming pool and parking. Swimming pool was tiny and got absolutely no sun!! We didn't use valet parking as it was very expensive. Parking garage (Houston street garage) was a 2 min walk away 9 dollars a day which was very reasonable.

The staff were so nice and helpful. I appreciated their smiles and how everyone we left out of the lobby they said have a great day, good morning, etc. the room was clean, the bed was a little too firm for me, the shower was nice with good pressure. Having a little kitchen was new for us, we liked having a microwave to heat up left overs and a bigger fridge for our drinks, and a freezer! The breakfast was okay, my husband liked it. They offer happy hour which is pretty cool. Location was perfect for us to walk to all the spots that we planned. All in all, I enjoyed my 1st trip to the river walk and the Alamo.

I was there a couple days before Christmas and my favorite part of the stay was the SOCIAL HOUR they had every evening. The ladies made it enjoyable and I also liked the friendliness during check in and check out. Bianca, Bailey, Jessica & Chelsea were all extra welcoming any time I saw them during our stay, always had a smile. I would definitely stay here again.

The so called VALET parking. When VALET parking was inquired about, the attendee, who was on his phone, told is there was no valet parking until I told him that it was on the website that valet parking was available. Only then did the young man take his face out of the phone to actually LOOK at us and state that YES there was valet parking. What a miracle, how quickly no went to yes. We did not use valet service due to not wanting any further interaction with the young man that could barely acknowledge us from the get go, I wasn't gonna leave a tip for that.

This hotel was hands down in the best location. The staff was super friendly and helped with everything we needed. The breakfast was hot and ready every morning. We had an issue with the toilet and the maintenance staff was in there quick to fix it. The beds were super comfortable and the room was very spacious. The elevators were super quick and many carts to use.

I would say my only complaint is that somewhere it needs to be noted about parking. There is no where to park around this location unless you use the valet services and that is $40 a day. I will say it is a great asset to the property and very helpful, was just not aware of the extra expense.

The location was exceptional. Within just a few blocks of everything. Breakfast was good, the ladies were on top of everything. The hotel was very clean but needed to be updated. Staff was very friendly and eager to help with what ever you needed. Very busy hotel.

Our room had a fairly large tear in the carpet. We only had 1 chair in the room so if you wanted to watch tv someone had to sit on the bed. I asked for another one but they didn't have one. The chairs in the lobby were vey uncomfortable. Hopefully they will remodel soon

This obviously is an older facility however I feel Marriot has done an excellent job modernizing it. The room was small yet well organized with plenty of space. The room was furnished very well and we had no problems at all. The staff was great. Everyone we encountered was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be coming back when we return to San Antonio.

I didn't find anything I disliked about this place.

The hotel appeared to be a bit aged on the upper floor rooms, but the room was nice enough and even had a kitchen available. The location is superb and you'll be hard pressed to find a better one. Theres easy access to downtown and the river walk. Breakfast on our 2nd day there had amazing items for a breakfast tacos you could make yourself.

It was a bit expensive, and hotel parking was only available as a pricey 40 dollar a night valet service, however other lots where you could pay to park were available somewhat close to the hotel.

Location was fantastic, staff was very nice, welcoming and helpful. Facilities were beautiful and well maintained. The basement area has a large area for breakfast and also has laundry machines next to the gym. I felt very comfortable and wish I was there for longer than one night! The room was small but very cozy and comfortable. Bathroom was a hidden gem and very large with a glass shower. The Alamo and River walk are 1 block away. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby as well as walgreens. I would definitely stay here again. Safe for anyone traveling alone. Parking is valet only.

Location was amazing! Walk distance to every spot in Riverwalk and just 10min from convention center walking. The room was packed with full kitchen and bed was super comfortable to rest. They offered happy hours in the afternoons and breakfast was tasty and had good variety.

Conveniently located to downtown River Walk and River North and to Market Place. Easy to access public transportation to and from airport as well as other parts of the city. Really felt safe with key card door and attentive desk staff. Breakfast room neat and well-stocked for early risers and late sleepers.
