The fresh eggs from Henrietta the Chooky. A big breakfast was provided. The staff we met on arrival were jovial (and lovely and reassuring on the phone when we saw how late we would be) The caravan is nice and big and clean. The seating areas are all huge. Having 2 toilets is great travelling as a family. The outside area is fatastic with seating and bbq. Its my favourite holiday stop. And I love hwaring the chickens talking. And although they dont always serve food you can buy drinks from the pub, and its within walking distance of a cheap very friendly venue for food and drink, and the garage is closeby for ice cream.

Stayed here as I was doing a job in the area, and it fit the bill - easy to find location, friendly and helpful on arrival, spacious enough for one person, easy check-in and check-out process. I didn't really make much use of it though other than to sleep when I got back. But the breakfast provided was very substantial, with some delicious bacon!

In the hot weather, it was difficult to cool the caravan down, even with the windows and doors open. I didn't have the best night's sleep in the bed, but that may just be me being used to my own mattress at home

Third time staying at The Jackdaw and every time has been outstanding. Very comfortable, plenty "supplies" in the kitchen and food left for breakfast just perfect. Host very cheery and helpful. Staff also helpful. Chipper next door excellent Good access to park for walking dogs

The only thing I could suggest would be a "rail" on the wee stairs. I was travelling with my elderly father who is quite unsteady on his feet and he found the stairs quite difficult (not a criticism as I knew beforehand)

Comfortable bed and good shower. Got 2 most important things right. Had a nice pint in the bar and plenty of parking. Will definitely use again.

Unfortunately not doing food at the moment. Bit rural so takeaway delivery options limited. However got a fully equipped kitchen so you can always cook your own. It's next to the beer garden and kids play area so might be a bit noisy early evening. Would think it always quiets down before bedtime.

If I was ever to back to Tadcaster.....I'd stay here. Not just because it's the only place on booking.com but it's a super trailer. All I needed was a big dog, pickup and crushed cans of budweisser and I'd be in a road movie. The inside is like the tardis in size rather than modernity. The trailer kept us snug as bug whilst Storm Darren or something raged on outside. The pub is great, friendly staff and locals and good beer. Slept like a log.

Although it never bothered me, the outside area needs a through clean up and the steps to the mobile home need looking at, it looks nothing like the pictures on the booking website. The right hand tap on sink in the main toilet does not work, other than that the facilities were as described.

Lovely large caravan. 2 bedrooms (1 twin, 1 double) , 2 toilets (1 ensuite) and separate shower. Large living/dining areas and kitchen. Self catering breakfast provided free of charge - enough for a full English PLUS a large pack of cooked ham, loaf of bread and tub of butter!! Lillian, Andrew, staff and locals in the pub we're all really friendly. We had Sunday lunch before we left VERY reasonably priced, excellent quality, freshly cooked and large portions 😋.

Only one slight 'niggle' - on the first night, the gate to the to the private area of the caravan was banging in the wind due to the wood swelling because of recent wet weather.

I was so surprised at just how good the facilities were. I was travelling with my elderley father and 2 dogs. Rooms were very comfy. Nice area to sit outside. Good walking areas for dogs. Breakfast supplied to cook was just perfect and even some bread & ham left to make some takeaway sandwiches. Plenty tea, coffee, towels & toiletries

Some sort of small reading lamp in the wee bedroom would have been nice for reading in bed but absolutely NOT the end of the world as light switch for main light beside bed.

It’s different, it’s a bit retro and hippie, but we loved it. Right behind a lovely pub, fully equipped with everything you need, a lovely owner, very dog friendly too. There were free range chicken next to the place, and we got their eggs for breakfast which was splendid. We will surely come back one day!

It‘s not modern or posh, but that’s excellent, we loved it!

We were at a perfect location and had everything we needed and more. Lovely walks nearby for the dog and loads to do for the children. Kids loved the outside play area right next to the caravan but we had a private yard where they also could play securely. Breakfast was plenty and delicious. Staff and host are very friendly and attentive. We couldn’t have asked for anything more.

I was okay but hubby ( being a little prince ) found the bed a tad bit uncomfortable. It was sloping a little so your legs were higher than your head… apparently… I had a good night sleep every night so did the children.
