This is a great, no-nonsense place with friendly staff and crisp, clean white linen. The breakfast was outstanding - the best we had during our stay in the UK. It is highly commendable. Good pub for lunch or dinner just across the street and a bus stop a few yards up the road taking you right to the town centre. We will stay here again, if in town.

A bit more storage space in the showers will be great - if even an extra hook behind the door or shelf for one's clothing. Only one hook for a towel makes it unnecessary uncomfortable. Also, a small bedside shelf/folding table might be a great idea. For the rest, it is only accolades.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very good indeed

Although the room had a king size bed there was little room to move around it. The room had a single bed and a pull-down bunk bed which would be fine for a family but not for a couple. The single bed took up the room where a desk and chair or dressing table and chair could have been. Consequently, any work on the computer had to be done sitting on the bed. There were only four electric sockets in really unhelpful locations around the room. Notwithstanding, I haven't marked the property down for this because I can appreciate that the venue would be good for families.

Room exactly as described, similar to a family room in other similar price hotels. Extra pillows and hairdryer on request. Shared lounge area was nice enough, and we were able to use this throughout our stay. Bed was comfy, and we weren't disturbed by other guests making noise. Would stay again.

Had to report a dog poo that had been left on the rug in the lounge area. Considering this is the same room people are eating in, this wasn't very hygienic and disappointing that staff hadn't spotted it despite being sat in that area doing paperwork. Sockets in bedroom aren't located very well.

The cleanliness of the room and hotel in general, looks like it’s new as it even smelt clean. The friendly atmosphere of the reception staff. The fact that my son could go and get a hot chocolate anytime he liked

Unfortunately the coffee machine could do with changing as all the coffee tasted the same and was way too strong. The breakfast selection could do with looking at, for example the chocolate and jams could do with being in individual sachets instead of in a jar which anyone kept dipping their own cutlery in. And it would be nice if there was a better selection in regards to the following, scrambled egg, black pudding, normal tomatoes ( not tinned)

Bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean and modern, soap/ body wash included. Location was good, can walk to city centre in about 25 minutes, also catch a local bus just outside on main road less than 10 min ride, or if you get a city sightseeing bus tour there a stop less than 10 min walk. Free parking at hotel.

The shower was not easy to work out at all, it was either boiling hot one way or scalding hot the other way, really had to force it to get to a decent temperature after ages of trying to work out, very dangerous how hot it was let alone with children going in shower in their own. The bunk beds are practical being able to lock away when not in use but it does not suit the room at all, looks very out of place in the nice room (needs repainting or new permanent beds put in as room is big enough anyway) Also breakfast was nice and fresh (first ones in there) but everything was cold.

The staff were amazing, very helpful, and chatty. It was a great atmosphere. Breakfast was delicious, so much choice. We got a bus in to the city centre, so easy. It's a very central location for families or couples, lots to explore, we were even allowed to walk around the stable yard which my wife loved. The room was clean and tidy and plenty of space for us (family of 3). Shower was very hot which again we loved as many hotels we've stayed in only run luke warm water. All in all it was a fantastic getaway and we will be definitely staying again.

Probably say and it's really just very small- the room was a little cold, however we managed to crank up the heating and it was lovely and warm for the remainder of our stay 😀

Good location. Peaceful grounds outside. Friendly staff. Comfy bed and a good size. Good heater. Window opened nice and wide with grass outside (ground floor). Very clean. Good shower and nice soaps/hand location. Nice side mugs! Everything we needed for our short stay. Being able to bring our dogs was great too.

The TV was at a strange angle and not great for watching. Sound proofing not amazing in terms of people walking by outside but it really wasn’t a problem. Smelt of horses or drains (?)in the bathroom but again it wasn’t really a problem as it wasn’t that strong just noted that there was a smell. Definitely not a deal breaker.

The room was very very clean. The bed was comfy. There was loads of grass and pic nice tables just out side our room so my daughter could play safely. They even had a small amount of kids out door toys for them to you. It was quiet at night. Although until about 11 ya can hear doors close as people come back. The breakfast was nice and plentyful.

The room could have done with plugs near the beds and a side. The doors could do with the stoppers to stop them slamming. It got a bit nosy one evening.

The location was great. All the staff were fantastic, I felt welcomed, cared for and informed.

So I think this might honestly be a me thing. I booked a room in the annex with shared bathroom but it was not what I was expecting. The person in the room next door had the TV on really loud. Had a hacking cough and sounded like they were washing up in the sink. The bathroom was shared between 10 or more rooms, and there was no separation of men v women, which, if I'm honest, I kind of expected. Like I say, my issue, but I did feel unsafe as a single female. However, I asked for an upgrade to a room with a private bathroom, and it was handled nicely and was easy. Yes, I paid a bit more, but rightly so as it was a much bigger room. I can't thank the lady on reception enough she was soo lovely.

Great staff, friendly, welcoming and nothing too much trouble. Stable studio was fantastic, plenty of room for 2, spotlessly clean, cosy, inviting and we loved it! Bathroom incredible, kitchen well equipped, giant cosy sofas, my room was lovely, so comfortable I didn't want to get up. Would throughly recommend a stay here, we wish we'd booked for longer. Also had a breakfast which was great value and plenty of choices. We'll be definitely returning!

One thing missing in the kitchen was a T towel
