The hotel was very majestic like its name sake, clean and we were always met with welcoming staff at reception. The rooms were a good size, comfortable and clean. Both had a balcony with either a garden or a sea view. The breakfast included was delicious. there was an excellent variety of food, fruits, pastries and drinks. The pool was well looked after in term of a lifeguard and cleanliness. The location of the Hotel was brilliant. We were about 10 mins walk from the beach (one side beach club and one side free) In the morning it was shaded by midday it had the full sun and was often very busy. At night it had the most incredible sunset views. We were 5/10 mins walk from the town which had a nice array of bars, cafes, shops and restaurants. (note most closed from 2-5) We were 20 mins walk from Sorrento....which had a whole host of shops, bars and cafes etc. The bar staff worked hard and we like to mention Salvatore and Elicia (spelling might be incorrect) who made us feel very welcome.

We did not like all the rules especially around the pool. No playing with balls, jumping/diving (it was a very deep pool). You can understand this more when there are lots of people about but often it was just us. Also there was nowhere apart from your room to eat a take away sandwich as food was not allowed to be consumed outside by the pool or in the garden area. The only place to eat was by ordering food from the Hotel but you needed to sit in their inside/outside bar area and cover your swimwear. The roof top bar had magnificent views but the drinks were very expensive and card games were not allowed to be played there.

Beautiful hotel in a quiet neighbourhood with a lovely pool and gardens. Great rooftop terrace to watch the sunset and enjoy a drink. Staff were very pleasant, friendly and helpful in booking tours. Great breakfast. Very large bedroom - good size for friends sharing. Beautiful sunny balcony with rooms overlooking the garden. Spotlessly clean.

Nothing we didn’t like. The bedrooms are very plain and need updating. Beds are small when twins. An armchair, a rug and bed throws would have made it feel four star. There’s plenty or room for two doubles. That would have made the stay luxurious.

The pool and rooftop terrace were excellent. Our dinner at Don Geppe restaurant is one of the most memorable experiences of our time in Sorrento/ San Agnello. It was expensive but worth every penny. The hotel staff in all areas were simply delightful. Friendly and accommodating throughout our stay.

Problem with window closure during wind storm. Wind kept blowing window and shutters open. 30 minute walk to Sorrento centre. Not a huge problem but people with issues should be aware. NB The exercise was probably a good thing with all the good eating that was going on.

Look I mean it is very expensive for hotels in the area, but it is very nice! The rooftop bar only serves martinis, we just wanted to enjoy the beautiful view but we couldn't get a drink that we liked, so we had to leave We ordered a taxi to the station (literally 5 mins drive) with our heavy bags, taxi quoted the hotel €15 and the taxi then charged us €25. We should have walked! The lock on our room door was very loose The safe broke when we tried to use it (I have seen both these lock issues mentioned in other reviews) - but I want to stress the hotel were very quick to fix both these locking issues

The property itself is gorgeous, even more so than the photos. The Don Geppi experience was phenomenal, as was the staff and their kind attention to detail. We stayed here for our wedding, and they made sure to highlight this special moment for us. Lastly, the bath products were amazing, and we made sure to stop by the Carthusia Profumerie on our next stop to Capri to take a little bit of this special scent home.

The only thing that could have been better was that the pillows were slightly flat.

The location was great and the hotel was overall beautiful with a gorgeous rooftop

Breakfast variety, the bathroom had plastic cups as toothbrush holders and no body moisturizer which you would expect from a 4 star hotel

I travelled with my daughter who has additional needs and we had a great time. The staff were all super friendly towards her especially the waitresses and Anna on reception. You can walk into Sorrento in 20 mins, catch a bus or get the train. More locally there’s a beach at the end of the road with great facilities. The room was very comfy and the little balcony was great too.

There’s a bar on the top floor with incredible views but it’s adult only. It would have made our stay had we been allowed to have one drink up there given the views available. Perhaps the hotel can consider children being allowed before a certain time? (If not against the law generally there).

Need better quality bedding didn’t feel nice and softer mattresses, a bit too firm. Also, beds would separate, the single attached beds need a clip to be able to fasten up and then to detach for cleaning or moving if needed. Heated towel rails would be useful too. To enjoy warm towels when getting out of the shower.

The hotel is very nice with beautiful garden, swimming pool, restaurant and bars etc. it was a amazing stay in hotel Majestic for five nights. The room is very clean very nice balcony view. The hotel is located at a station before sorrento. Everyday you probably need to take train otherwise it takes around 30min walk to sorrento. But it's fine. Already miss the time in sorrento!

We requested iron in the second day but we only got it at the last day before we left and actually we talked with the reception desk a few times but don't know why it takes so slowly to provide. Another thing want to mention maybe is the breakfast. We stayed there for five nights but everyday the breakfast is the same haha. It will be better if the chef could make some changes everyday 2-3 days.

Room was very clean, spacious and has a lovely balcony overlooking the Sorrento hills. Staff are very friendly and helpful when we ask about how to get to Positano-Amalfi. Breakfast was amazing. Value for money.

Just the location. It’s about 3kms away from Sorrento proper, bus isnt really reliable so it’s a long walk. But still a peaceful area to stay.
