A lovely welcome from Andreas. This is a beautiful and intimate hotel with a real sense of tradition and style. Tastefully decorated throughout. Lovely barman and the presentation of my aperitif was done with care. Staff will go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay. I enjoyed the bedroom garden view and balcony. The views from the rooftop terrace at sunset will be remembered for ever. A perfectly adequate breakfast, beautifully presented and a lovely welcome from the barman on his morning shift. The hotel is conveniently located to restaurants, bars and shops, or just enjoy the river walk. Close walking distance from the train station or there is limited parking right opposite the hotel.

It would have been nice to have a nightcap at the bar but it closes at 20.00hrs. Watch out for the slight ridge on the flooring near the reception.

Great location on the Arno. We walked to everything from here. Rooms had a/c and the bathrooms were modern and clean. We had a junior suite and the large king bed plus two twins fit us all comfortably. Breakfast was decent and had a variety of foods (pastries, eggs, sausage, cereals, fruits, etc) that did the job for us. The best part was the friendliness and helpfulness of Hardeep (sp?) at the front desk. He made recommendations and reservations for us and even for our friends staying at a different location.

Beds had bedspreads instead of the sheets and duvets I'm more accustomed to these days, and I tend to feel like these are not washed as regularly, although I could be wrong. There also wasn't enough space for us to unpack (e.g. no dresser drawers).

Location was excellent. Breakfast was fantastic as were the staff.

Bath in our room lost its pop up waste and couldnt be used at the time.

The bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in, it was like lying on a cloud! The room was beautiful and the view over the city with the Duomo was gorgeous. Breakfast was in a beautiful room with delicious food.

My train arrived early in the morning and I arrived at the hotel at 6am hoping to drop my bag to begin exploring the city but they told me to come back in 2 hours :( as a solo female traveler it wasn’t good to sit out in the cold and dark on the street with nothing being open. It was advertised as 24 hours reception so I was expecting to be able to store my bag before check in on the same day.

A wonderful, quaint old-style hotel experience. Delightful staff, 3 very large and comfortable reception rooms with beautifully historic, fresco painted very high ceilings - beautiful breakfast room, a gorgeous garden, light-filled hotel in the Arno River in Florence. Wonderfully well-trained springer spaniel who was so polite to all guests! Beautiful large balcony off our room, with a magnificent view of the Oltrano part of Florence. Would definitely stay again.

Somewhat dated in the furnishings but this adds greatly to the charm.

The hotel is really lovely, a very old building with lots of character. It was nice to be able to have breakfast outside in the garden, and we loved the hotel dog "Hero". The room was very comfortable, great comfy beds

The breakfast choice was very limited for me personally - lots of salami meats etc which I don't like and the scrambled egg and sausages were a bit hit and miss - but the pastries were lovely. We also felt that some background music in the breakfast room would be nice as it is like sitting in someone's sitting room and you can hear what everyone is saying! In our bathroom the toilet used to run on after pulling the flush - and it took a few attempts to try and get it to stop otherwise you could hear it all night.

Very nice traditional hotel located on the banks of the Arno. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was pleasant enough, being furnished in a traditional style, and I had a view of the Duomo from my balcony. Breakfast was relatively sumple (unless you like pastries - which were rather spectacular!). The hotel is not exactly in the centre but it is only a short walk and there are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend the hotel - if / when I return to Florence I will probably use it again.

Nothing really to complain about!

We stayed here for only one night to spend a day in Florence. They have secure parking onsite and if they are not fully booked they may let you leave your beyond the room check out time- this helped us so much! The staff were helpful and kind. The air conditioning was cold, bed was comfortable, shower was hot, and the room was beautiful. it is just outside the congestion zone too. Breakfast is included, but we left to meet someone before it started so I can't attest to breakfast. They have a rooftop terrace which is lovely too.

I wish they had coffee and tea available early. Though we had to leave before breakfast it would have been great to have a little self serve coffee/tea area. Other than that it was a great stay. There were guests there who asked to stay longer too (the hotel was full but we heard them ask) so that it a testament to the comfort too.

The hotel was an absolutely beautiful property, perfectly situated by the river- just walking distance from the popular tourist spots- yet further enough to avoid the hustle and bustle of the crowds. Also had lovely balcony The staff were super friendly and helpful, cleaning was good and came everyday.

The hotel could be quite noisy at night with slamming doors due to the thin walls even up until 12 at night. When tv’s were on during the night it was quite loud even with ear plugs.

Overall breakfast was good all the essential so sweets and salted; good location 12 minutes from the train station Santa Maria Novella and 10-15 minutes from the main attraction. Our room had a view on the river side which was amazing. The atmosphere that surrounds the building is really regal and antique which is really calm, relaxing!

The beds were decent but the biggest concern was the AC. Our room was on the top of the building and just one day (it was really sunny) it was hot and during the night make our sleep kinda difficult. We needed to open the window outside even if the external temperature wasn't that crazy
