We arrived late and there was a problem with the computer so there was a delay checking us in - but the lady was so sweet and helpful and apologetic, we didn't mind at all. We were delighted to find that we were able to have a delicious meal delivered to our room. The breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful. On our last day, I left my wallet on the table and the young hostess brought it up to our room, which was very kind of her. The rooms are very comfortable. The beds have very good quality bedding and I loved the huge towels - and there was a bidet!

I had to sign in to the wifi every time I opened my computer or phone. It was a bit time-consuming.

We had a really pleasant stay at this well-located hotel, with all our needs catered for. The breakfast buffet was great and we loved that it had a local flavour. We were at the top of probably one of the nicest streets with plenty of shops and food venues. Staff was lovely and friendly. I had to spend a whole afternoon in the room because of a downpour and found it comfy where other places would have been claustrophobic.

This is the fault of climate change, but the hotel was built for classic Glasgow weather and we were there during a heatwave; the room really built up heat during the day to release it at night! A fan was provided but we also had to open the window regardless of early morning city noises.

Reception staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Restaurant were also friendly and helpful. As a single traveler, although I was joining a group for two of the days I was there, I didn't feel uncomfortable when using the public rooms on my own.

The group booking was for twp nights, I added an extra two nights and I had informed the hotel before I traveled. When I returned to my room at the end of my third day my pass key would not let me into my room even although reception had confirmed on arrival that I would be in the same room for all four nights,

The location could not have been better, close to our favourite pubs and restaurants as well as the subway which whisks you to the city centre very quickly. The room was large and the beds were comfortable and also very quiet.

The room itself, though clean, was dated. There were no USB ports and when I asked the person at the desk for an adaptor he acted as if I had asked for his first born son and very sternly told me that I must return it.

Staff were very accommodating...nothing requested was too much trouble... Very attentive but not pushy.. We were attending a wedding at Oran Mor !

I love the location ,staff were helpful making sure with his mobility issues got his car sorted in the carpark.. Very kindly after the wedding the night staff took our cases up dropped them in our room and put the lights on honestly so kind..told they were on all night and if we needed anything to call down... My husband has cancer so they made our experience wonderful.. Oh have to mention breakfast staff helped me get breakfast self service to the table as l had to do it all as my husband couldn't go up or down himself..

Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff, nice room. Very tasty potato cakes at breakfast.

Computer booking system seemed slow and with problems at check-in and when I asked to extend my stay. Rooms were clean, but there was historic wear and staining that had not been treated, and some minor elements of maintenance, such as a cupboard door that needed its top hinge tightening. The breakfast was light on vegetarian options, although I did not make any special requests at the breakfast, which may have helped.

With all hotels of this nature and location you tend to pay more than you would elsewhere. Excellent location as we were visiting for a friends wedding. Plenty of bars and restaurants within short walking distance as well as the Botanical Gardens

We had to change room because there was a fault on the fan in the bathroom. This in itself is not an issue and the staff moved us and our luggage without a fuss. What I didnt like is the fact it was a known fault by the maintenance team before we arrived and the room was still being used.

I loved the location of the property - a stone’s throw from the vibrant West End of Glasgow. On street parking on Grosvenor Terrace wasn’t unreasonable and with the added bonus of free parking on a Sunday. 150 yards from Oran Mor where I was heading to a gig! Also on the corner of Byre’s Road & a short walk to Ashton Lane.

I prefer a king size bed when booking a suite, they only seem to have double beds in theirs. But that’s a minor issue since the bed was very comfortable. The photos on booking.com use a wide angle lens so some people may be misled as to the size of a suite unless looking at square footage.

Excellently appointed and situated Victorian Hotel. Ideal for exploring Glasgow’s West End and The Botanical Gardens. Offered choice of room location ie Botanical Gardens side with nicer view but some road traffic noise or quieter side overlooking supermarket car park. Opted for the former. Good breakfast.

Having been out for the evening returned to hotel room (108) about 10.30pm. About half an hour later popped down to the bar to order a nightcap to bring back to room but bar was shut. Had been open when returning to hotel about 10.30pm.

Conviently located in the west end, just 3rd stop on the subway from central, across the street from the spacious gardens, the friendly and helpful staff, always made me feel welcome and appreciated. The reception always found a solution, the bar was enthusiastically making any drink I needed, the breakfast crew was spot on. Make sure to visit the converted church across the street for a great meal lin a unique setting.

Only sad thing is I eventually had to leeave.
