Perfect Location and a Lovely Stay! We absolutely loved the location – it was perfect for us! Just a short walk to the beach and the harbour, which quickly became my favourite spot. There’s a lovely bar right on the beach at the harbour, where you can relax with a drink or a snack while the kids play happily in the sand. There are toilets nearby too, which is super convenient. Sainsbury’s is also close by, right on the way to the harbour, which made it easy to grab anything we needed. We spent most of our days exploring other parts of Cornwall, so we mainly enjoyed our evenings in Newquay. The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, which made us feel very welcome. Our room was bright, quite spacious, and spotlessly clean. It had everything we needed – a kettle with tea and coffee and a small fridge, which was really handy. Overall, it was a great base for our Cornwall adventures and a lovely place to come back to each day. Would definitely recommend!

I had a wonderful stay here. The place is run by a lovely family who made me feel really welcome from the moment I arrived. My room was super clean, cozy, and comfortable. There was a kettle with tea and coffee in the room, as well as a fridge, which was really convenient. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, one of the best I’ve had during my trip. The location couldn’t be better. It’s right in the city center, just a short walk to shops, restaurants and the beach. It’s also easy to get to this accommodation from the airport. They even gave me a map with great local tips, including where to go to see the seals, which was such a cool experience. As a female solo traveler I felt very safe the entire time. I would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for somewhere warm and welcoming to stay.

Though the location was ideal, halfway between the bus and train station and close to the shops and beach but still out of the way enough to be peaceful , the B&B owners were nice friendly people who took an interest in the OCR I was running down there, the tea and coffee making facilities were plentiful and the bed was really comfortable with good quality pillows, overall I would say that this was the nicest place I have stayed at all 21 OCR events I have attended so far this year

We were made to feel very welcome when we arrived, they helped us settle in and talked about what we could see nearby. They are a very friendly family and definitely went the extra mile for us. The breakfast was really good and helped set us up for a day of long walks! The locations is really good, it’s a stones throw away from the beach (with a good arm!), we would definitely come back here when we visit Cornwall again.

A great family run business with a brilliant service in a fantastic location. The standard of hygiene was exemplary. John and Helen (the owners) are amazingly friendly and lovely people who did everything possible to make us feel exceptionally welcome and gave us tips and information of good places to go out etc. We would never stay anywhere else when returning to Newquay. The value for money offering great standards was truly exceptional. We hope to return when we can to see John and Helen and have a great time in Newquay in a great location !

This is an amazing place to stay whilst visiting Newquay. The location is central so well connected to transport/ shops/ food options and the room had everything you`d need for a comfortable stay. Beautifully decorated to a high standard with an immaculate shower, hot drinks, easy to use TV and comfy bed. Storage , shelves and hooks all in the right places so easy to organise my travel stuff. I felt at home!

Hi, if you found availability in this property know you are blessed. From the very beginning, both hosts Ellen and John received me warmly and were committed to serve with genuine care. From the clean and well equipped room, to the Michelin star breakfast by John and the recommendations (with actual maps) to wonder around their lovely city coasts. As a female solo traveler, I look forward to returning!

That i had to leave.

Such a helpful family, really friendly and always someone around to answer questions or give advice. The room was perfect for what I needed - I was travelling with two of my children, so having the bunk beds in with me was ideal. There was still plenty of room to move around the room and the en suite was very lovely and clean with a large shower. Having a kettle and mini fridge was great as I could keep snacks and drinks cool for the kids, and we were given clean cups, tea bags, water bottles and fruit shoots each day. The breakfast runs from 8.30-9.30 and they are very generous servings and lots of options. My teen couldn't finish his fry-up, which is really saying something! My youngest is gluten intolerant and this was accommodated. Parking on site was ideal, as I was mostly walking the kids into Newquay, which was literally 5 minutes walk to the beachfront. The parking area is tight, but I have a large saloon and was seen in and out by someone each time to make sure there was no damage - very helpful if you're not used to driving through tight spots.

The only thing I would have changed is purely a personal preference for a firm mattress - I am a larger lady and sprung mattresses don't support my back as well. But my kids were perfectly comfortable in their beds.

What a wonderful stay. The smugglers inn is clean, comfortable and incredible value for money. Central to Newquay town centre - with everything you could need in walking distance. Make sure you include breakfast in your booking - top marks! What really makes your stay and experience a 10/10 are the hosts. They are incredibly kind, great to talk to and genuinely take pride and care in their business and your stay We would come back in a heart beat. Highly recommended. Thank you both.

Great location in a quiet street within easy walking distance to town centre and beaches. John the properties host very friendly and welcoming. Everything clean in the room and bathroom. Would recommend and have no hesitation in booking again on a future visit to Newquay.
