Room was clean and comfortable. Car booking s massive advantage. Plentiful breakfast with big choice. Lounge is a bonus, large, comfy place to just relax with a paper or drink in the evening, lovely cream tea (book in advance, it's worth it). The best though was the staff, all evened, Sue at breakfast (sorry for burning croissants in the toaster (don't do that)) and short haired blonde lady on reception this morning were fantastic and a credit to the hotel. Easy walk into town and to Tolcarne beach, but we like that it was a little bit up away from town.
Sound travels easily through the walls hence the 9 and the bedside tables could do with being cut in half as they stick out too much near the door. The view from the room isn't great but what can you do🤷♀️ That's it.

This hotel was exactly as described very near the beach and a bit further to the town which is totally walkable. Also walking distance to the railway station. Great as we came on the train. Sea views from the restaurant are lovely. We found it extremely clean. It's the cleanest hotel I've stayed in in many years. The family room was very roomy - great for a weeks stay for myself and my teenage son. There is plenty to eat at breakfast and is a buffet style breakfast. Evening meal delicious and meals are generous. The pool areas again clean and as described. Nothing not to like, really.
I really can't think of anything. Just to mention, though, there is a building site next door, another hotel ? We came in May half term 2024, BUT there was no noise or work being carried out on it when we visited. It did not impact on our stay.

The receptionist (3) I met, made us feel welcomed, especially the Lady that doubled as the bar Landlady to serve me drinks who had to get ice from the cellar and returned with a 😊 smile, all very professional and helpful. I will book direct in future. The staff at breakfast had it all under control. Will stay for dinner next time. It was a nice experience. Thank you. Room service on point.
Booked Family room, for the little extra space for just 2 of us. Would have been a squeeze if 3 had stayed in room 204. Only disappointment..was no fridge in the room and maybe the TV could have been larger and maybe wall hung for better viewing for all.

This hotel had everything we needed. The room was just as shown in the photos, was clean and great value for money. The indoor heated pool was clean and lovely and the sauna too. Although we didn’t use the bar, it looked nice and was busy for the entertainment in the evening. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. The hotel is situated less than a 10 minute walk away from the town so great to access Newquay town and the surrounding areas. It’s also not too central so there was no noise from the outside. We didn’t eat at the hotel but the restaurant looked nice and was quite busy in the evenings. We will definitely use this hotel again.
The only negative was the construction work going on outside in the morning to afternoon. It was loud so we couldn’t keep the window open at night.

The room was exceptionally clean. Super comfortable bed and a good view of the sea from our first floor room. It would've been nice to be on the top most floor for an even better view. The pool was unfortunately closed one of the mornings for cleaning, but this was entirely understandable. We did not have breakfast as we preferred to walk in to the town centre each morning; the hotel is located perfectly. Far enough from town as to not be disturbed by the night life, but also close enough to not spend a fortune on transport. A short 10 minute walk to the town centre, it is the ideal location. There was an additional charge for the car park at the rate of £5 per day which is very reasonable especially considering everything is within walking distance. The downside is that the car park is very tight and unfortunately my car door was damaged by another holiday maker during our stay which we only noticed as we were leaving.
Lack of evening entertainment. Tight parking.

It was my wife's birthday, and the staff wrote a lovely happy birthday message on the mirror, that was nice. I asked if they could accommodate an ice bucket and 2 glasses for when we checked in, and the staff did this for me. We liked the pool. Liked the pool table in the bar. Iron and ironing board was popped in our room (on our request via booking.com instant messenger) fan was in the wardrobe should guests need it. Nice welcome pack with relevant information regarding telephone numbers. Opening hours to places, food outlets etc
Kids "bombing" themselves into the pool was a little annoying, there's a 'no diving' sign , could do with a 'no jumping/bombing in the pool sign. As echoed by previous guests , walls are very thin. But as I'd read the reviews I was fully expecting this. Fire alarm went off as a glitch, which happens, but absolutely NO staff in the reception area where ALL guests ended up gathered, not knowing if this was a drill or a real fire. That was concerning !

I loved the location of the hotel and it's so clean and makes you feel so comfortable and amazing and the staff in the afternoon was amazing during my stay. She was so helpful. I would recommend it to everyone as the best place to stay.
There is only one thing I would suggest that I am from a warm country and I have a habit of keeping heater and radiator on most of the times during winter but hotel has different scenarios for the heating system but it was on all night which gave me warm and pleasant sleep but I would prefer to have it till late morning for a longer sleep.

Good range of breakfast items. Reasonably early breakfast (I might have preferred 0730 start on Saturday / Sunday) Location is excellent. We didn't visit the beach this time as my wife now has severe mobility problems owing to loss of natural balance - a bit sad for an formerly enthusiastic dancer and walker, but we have no choice in our selection of illnesses. We know the immediate area very well, as we used to use the nearby Hotel Bristol 3 times per year before it closed. Apart from enjoying the sands and nearby clifftop walks which are now off the menu barring some miracle, we have spent a lot of time visiting nearly heritage locations and towns and looking into antique and bookshops.

Julie (reception) was really friendly & helpful (she seemed to know everything and was very efficient sorting anything out (I hope the management appreciate her). Other members of staff also very nice. Lovely room with view of the sea. Small but nice to have indoor pool (the outside pool was certainly "fresh") - also nice to have a sauna. Breakfast was simple but did what it needed to do.
Bed was rather firm so the first night I slept "inside" the duvet - so giving extra padding! Mentioned this to Julie in the morning and requested a second duvet. This was "made" into the bed so when I checked the 2nd night, I had the extra padding which made a whole lot of difference! Breakfast: Needed larger croissants and maybe another variety, that would make the appearance far more attractive.

We originally booked for one night in a sea view room, the Saturday, but we then decided to book an additional night for the Friday. I emailed the hotel and booked a standard double for the Friday as it was considerably cheaper. When we arrived, the manager Rado (I assume he was the manager anyway) comped us with an upgrade to our Seaview room as it wasn't being used that night. All staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Julie was especially friendly and helpful. Parking was £5 per night but the hotel was happy for us to keep our car on the carpark until we left on the Sunday. We parked in the rear carpark which was secured at night. Our room was clean and suited our needs, and the view was great. We used the pool and sauna on the Saturday afternoon, and we had it to ourselves for a good hour. We were slso welcome to use the facilities after checkout on the Sunday. The town is a five minute walk away along the cliff road and there's a Tesco Express virtually next to the hotel. We will definitely stop again, next time we're in Newquay :)
The walls were thin, so you could hear other guests who were noisy and inconsiderate at night. However, the night manager was quick to act on complaints, and guests were politely asked to keep noise to a minimum.
