The location is amazing. It is located in ribeira grand that beautiful and quiet village with ocean view. Room was so clean and cozy with fantastic view on ocean and outdoor swimming pool. There is 2 Swimming pool indoor and outdoor all were so nice and clean with view on ocean. There is professional Spa center they have many options with well training people there. Also there is a gym with good equipments. You will finds help from all the employees there. They are so kind and helpful (my pleasure to all the employees: reception guys and girls , house keepers, spa center workers and kitchen workers) they are really nice, always smile and they are always happy to help. (I believed that “peaceful” that is the feeling when you visit Azores)

The room with the ocean view was great. I would recommend paying the extra price for ocean view rooms. The cheap rooms have a balcony to a busy road. For the off-season the price was fairly high (945€ for 7 days) We checked the high season prices (1600€ for 7 days). That would be definitely too expensive. Breakfast selection was good, but we have had better breakfasts.

Sauna was turned off at 7 pm (even though the sign said 8 or 9 pm?)

The family rooms are located very far from the lobby. Thef There are not enough chairs in the room, the room was functional but not warm and "homey".

Excellent hotel manager who responds promptly and adequately, and is exceptionally kind and hospitable. Just for her, the hotel already deserves 5*! Very welcoming and thoughtful reception team as well. We were there for our honeymoon and were surprised with a nicely decorated room <3 Tasty breakfast with sea view and enough choice for some variation each day. Relaxing spa area with big indoor pool and a nice view. Good restaurant and bar with several nice dishes and friendly service. Beautifully designed hotel, comfortable room.

No roomservice is offered (no menu in the room), which is surprising for a 5* hotel. Some tiles in the outdoor pool were broken/missing, so you had to be careful not to hurt yourself on the edges. The floor of our room was spotless upon arrival but could be cleaned better by housekeeping during our stay. The artificial fireplace in the lobby was unfortunately never on. Nevertheless, this is minor feedback and we will gladly return since the rest of our experience here was excellent!

In general and overall, I loved my stay at the hotel and generally the staff was very friendly. The lady at the SPA who gave me a hot stone massage whom name I forgot (Francisca or Ferdinanda?) was amazing. She was gentle, warm and very attentive in her approach with myself and the way she did the massage. I enjoyed my room very much and the view over the ocean with the park and the cute white horse.

A little unflexible when I had a few requests. I asked to have my desert in the lounge instead of the restaurant, they said it was not possible which I found very weird. I asked the SPA area if I could have a yoga matt in my room for my daily routine and the staff needed to ask his manager but never got back to me so I just left it.

The location is perfect, in front of the ocean. The room is very clean and spacious. The breakfast is good, specially coffee, breads, and fresh juices. Outdoor swimming pool is lovely. Indoor one has warm water and good size. We were recieved by welcome Easter chocklates.

It feels less than a 5 star hotel. The spa is full of kids so you cannot relax there. Suana and Turkish bath are very small. The showers in changing room of the spa didn't have shower gel the bottels were empty. There is no smart tv which is kinda needed in these deserted areas that you don't have much to do other than relaxing.

1-Breakfast is very limited they have no variety in the choices and every day they make same dishes 2- there is no enough lightning out side , we cannot enjoy the ocean view at night like in other resorts 3- Room service is very expensive

This was our second visit to Verde Mar as we love this hotel! We just feel at peace and are able to recharge when here. We asked to move rooms on first day as did not like the ground floor room initially given - was just too far in corner. We were accommodated on 2nd day (as hotel was full) and then able to sit outside as we like to do. So thank you to the front desk staff for this as understand this was a huge ask, especially with a full occupancy! Staff are exceptional - front desk and especially bar/wait staff. Unfortunately do not remember the name of young bartender we had on most days. He makes superb drinks and clearly understands hospitality, wonderful sense of humour and very personable. The staff were extremely busy on Sunday evening however they rose to the challenge. Food was much better this time round.

Again, nothing we did not really like - just suggestions: a few more tea bags in room for multiple cups in day and facecloths.

The location was great! Quiet area and close to the beach. Great on-site restaurant and breakfast every morning. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming. The rooms were comfortable with air conditioning. There was a balcony with great views of the coast. It was close to a food market that had a bunch of little options for easy dining as well as a grocery store near by to get snacks and such for the beach. Truly a wonderful property! I would recommend to anyone to stay here

The facilities are great. Beautiful pools and a large, comfortable room. Location is also great with a beautiful spot right on the beach and close to restaurants and a grocery store.

The common areas were way too hot as if the AC wasn't even on. There also wasn't much food/drink service at the pool. Parking lot was a pain. If you got in a little late, you have to park on a dirt area far from the door. No one offered to help with bags. Breakfast was not good. Overall just didn't feel like they were trying to deliver a first class experience as a 5 star hotel typically would.
